  1. yeah, that's what my father-in-law has, 20-game package. He and his daughter (my wife's sister) go with the Sunday plus package every year. My wife and I bought the initial package in the first MP season and we've gone half-sies with them since. I still wonder if they've ever done the free club-seat thing. The Brewers always send the season-ticket stuff to me here in AZ and I end up looking at it all and sending it to them. I was so pumped when I found out we were getting a free media guide this year and then totally bummed when it was a certificate redeemable at the fan zone. well it sounds like your 4 sections over at about the same height (row 6). That's cool.
  2. Hawing, where are your seats normally? My father-in-law usually sits in 421 row 6 of the terrace box. Perhaps you've talked to him before. That'd be weird.
  3. I'm just impressed that Bucksman made 5 posts in the thread and NONE of them were about Sheets and his status as the "ace" of the team. Not surprisingly, I didn't see one positive comment from him until his very last sentence:
  4. thanks russ for explaning what BABIP was, since I totally brainfarted on what that was. Yeah, I'd agree with your stats that it is a major part of his problem. Otherwise, I think he looks great.
  5. unsure about this since I'm just using my baseball memory, but doesn't Bell have a history of an every-other-year sucks vs LHP/Lights up LHP? I seem to remember him having a couple seasons of well over .300 vs LHP (maybe one year over .400?) but then in between a season of something like .180 vs LHP. Does that mean next year would be his good year? Not we need another 3B that hits LHP really well.
  6. David Bell's defense is well worth the price, though. He's as good as Koskie was with the glove.
  7. of course, all 3 Houston runs were the results of DD walks. It could just as easily have been a 1-0 Milwaukee win, without those walks.
  8. nope, us Arizonans (and any other state-ians besides wisconsin) get nada.
  9. um, no we won't, unless we're at Miller Park. Hope Ueck gives a glowing description of him on the radio. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  10. I thought that the statistical analysis forum was created for people to discuss that stuff without getting other members riled up about clicking on the topic (when they were in the Major League forum) and having to read that stuff. Some people didn't like to read the stat analysis but didn't get it that they just shouldn't click those threads or read them. Voila! Stats analysis forum.
  11. boy, I was right on the money, huh? 0-for-4 with 3 k's and a weak ground ball out. He looked completely lost.
  12. Miller again? ugh. I know he's better against LHP but still I'd rather see Rivera who is slightly better (smaller sample size, though)
  13. he's not quite a "kid" as he's 28. He's basically Brady Clark when he was on the Mets a few years ago. Oh, except for the part that he's actually good. edit: oops, Brettac beat me to it. Again, serves me right to post without reading the entire thread.
  14. that is unbelievable. I didn't get to watch the game until after I got home from dinner. Yeah, a couple calls by the ump were close/questionable but calling him a racial slur is unacceptable. I never had a problem with that guy in the chat room. I do now.
  15. well, I guess we still have 3 games left against these guys. I mean, 1 month ago, we won game 1 against the Scrubs and then lost 3 straight so I would guess it's possible the Stros could do it too.
  16. channels in the 700s are the super duper sports subscription channels (NFL Sunday Ticket, MLB Extra Innings, NBA League Pass, NHL Center Ice, MLS Shootout, ESPN college FB and BB packages)
  17. anybody listening on MLB Gameday? No audio coming out except the WTMJ call sign at the end of innings. That sucks. Now I gotta listen to the boring Pirates guys.
  18. I can't believe they sent Brady. Ball wasn't hit deep. Francouer has a rep for a strong and ACCURATE arm (12 outfield assists or more last year and 7 this year!). Plus, Prince was up next and look at what he did!
  19. boy, I'm glad I decided to skip the game and drive to Vegas this afternoon for some shopping and dinner with the wife.
  20. so . . . confused . . .. . 8 runs . . . . . in one game . . . . . . .feeling sick just thinking about it . . . . . . are we officially contenders again . . . . . .ugh, DD must give up crooked numbers . . . . .. . . http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gif
  21. Yeah, me too. My wife was trying to show me something funny from a catalog and Daron started screaming. Scared me to death in an excited way--and then a disappointing way.
  22. But Oswald, you missed Daron's yelling into the microphone on the Corey Hart drive to right field. I thought he got all of it, too, but Daron just about gave me a heart attack. My heart was still thumping in the 8th inning from his call.
  23. I thought, statistically speaking, that Yost made all the right moves tonight with the exception of keeping Ohka in there in the first, and even that is questionable. He did well to his first two hitters and then kept throwing them right over the middle of the plate and got burned. Gross probably could have hustled on that Ramirez hit and might have caught it, thus limiting the damage. One poor inning pitched followed by 8 innings of pretty darn good pitching overall equals doom for this Royals-esque lineup. You can pour statistics out your butt about our hitters but when you look at names only, once we lost Carlos, we became the Royals.
  24. wow, a post in the minor league thread by me! What is the world coming to? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I'm really holding out hope that Rogers will be able to come back. I had my doubts about drafting a High School pitcher out of Maine as a first round pick in 2004. I really hope he doesn't turn into another J.M. Gold or Nick Neugey. I really need to read this minor league forum more often. Interesting stuff!
  25. I'm glad they're off tomorrow. That will be two consecutive nights of good sleep that I'll get, since I'm over this afternoon's debacle and won't have to worry about another one tomorrow.
