  1. Man, what a crowd on a Monday night versus the Pirates!!! Good on them, listening to Murph and getting out to the ballpark on a week night
  2. I’m not sure where else to put this so I’ll put it here. Is there something going on between Brian Anderson and Bill Schroeder that they have not partnered up much at all lately? It seems that every time BA is back they’ve got Dillard or Vinny in the booth and Schroder’s nowhere to be seen and when BA is gone and Levering is in the booth there’s Bill right back again. I know that BA rips on Rock all the time making fun of him, etc. but I’ve got to wonder if it’s not just a health thing but Rock just has had enough of that and would rather work with Jeff who is nicer to him. i’m probably reading too much into this. But it’s just something I’ve noticed over the last month or so.
  3. The indoor rain is kinda comical. And not a really good look for the ballpark commission (or whatever it’s called).
  4. 3 @ WSH 3-0 3 @ ATL 1-2 3 vs NYM 2-1 3 vs PIT 3-0 3 @ CIN 2-1 5 @ CHC 3-2 3 vs SF 2-1 4 vs AZ 3-1 3 @ TOR. 1-2 20-10 is what I come up with. That seems rather optimistic.
  5. I guess I made my comment kinda tongue in cheek, but I concur with your evaluation.
  6. Well, Chourio pulls his hammy tonight. It wasn’t bad—reminded me of Frelick’s from a couple weeks ago. He’s young, but I would anticipate a day off tomorrow, and then the scheduled day of Thursday before the Brewers decide to do something.
  7. This tells me that the Brewers need to raise ticket prices. And by a fairly decent chunk of change. If the Dodgers can get that much in gate receipts, we should at be able to approach the same (they won’t reach it, but they could at least close the gap by a lot.)
  8. I watched this in my backyard with my projector and big screen. Watching the last half hour of the movie under the stars was pretty amazing. It made me keep looking up, just in case. 😉
  9. A half game separates us from being the team with the best record in baseball (notice that I did not say that they are the best team in baseball 🙃) edit: oops, I guess it’s a full game, not half game. My source was incorrect
  10. I can't help to remember/recall that it seems just about every year there is one team that has a crummy first couple of months, playing sub .500 ball, and disappointing the fanbase, but then jumps out like gangbusters for the remainder of the season and rides this through a deep and meaningful playoff (and, yes, sometimes World Series) run. Are we this year's example?
  11. Depending on what they were to get back, I’d be fine with them dealing him. Never really like the acquisition to begin with. I would definitely give him 3 starts after the all star break to “showcase” him, though.
  12. Unfortunately, the local butcher shop is pretty poor. And the next closest is a good 45-minutes away. I appreciate the comments
  13. A few weeks ago, my wife had mentioned that there was a new "Knives Out" movie coming out soon. Of course, Facebook/Siri/whatever was apparently listening, so over the next couple of days, I kept getting tons of ads for knives and swords on Facebook. So, naturally, I yelled at my phone, "Hey, Facebook AI, I don't need any actual knives! My wife was talking about a movie! Now what I would like to see is more hot babes and smoked meats!" And, yes, quite quickly, several meat company ads and smoking meats groups started showing up on my feed like clockwork. Anyway . . . this is a round-about way of asking if anybody have any experience with Butcher Box or other similar online meat source? Since I keep seeing the ads, I might as well as if they are worth the cost, etc. for my own information as well as any other Brewerfanatic members that might be thinking the same thing! Thanks in advance! EDIT: I'm adding in a mention that, no, the AI did NOT suddenly start showing me hot babes on my feed. So, obviously, this AI still needs a lot of work.
  14. Can’t tell you how pumped I am about this. totally expecting a flop, but hoping for something quotable and funnier the more you watch it.
  15. I've actually wondered if someone is going to end up taking the fall pretty soon for this month's atocious hitting. It won't be Murphy and it won't be Weeks. But one of our three hitting coaches could be considered to be given the axe (or a re-assignment) to try to give the team a kick that it desperately needs. Not saying it's going to happen, but it seems to be "the thing" that MLB teams do after prolonged hitting slumps.
  16. I can't say that I have, honestly. It's been 31-years since I graduated from college, though. But I really don't remember ever having a dream similar to this. Not saying you're wrong that "we've all had this dream." I'm sure the documentation is pretty accurate. But there are always outliers.
  17. Tonight, we WERE in the front row! (just a few sections down the line, though)
  18. I was at that game, too. from our seats down the RF line, it looked like our two-pitch pitcher couldn’t locate one of them and the DBacks were just sitting on the other. didnt help that we had to listen to these two loudmouths behind us the whole game. At least security told them to tone down the profanity after an inning. But, ugh, what a terrible loss. But it’s just one of many. Gotta hope that it doesn’t roll them into a losing skid. Oh, and Chourio’s home run was a bomb! Wow!
  19. Must be in the front row!!! (Well, almost…)
  20. Hammytime and I will be there for Friday and Saturday's games. We'll drive home on Sunday. Yeah, parking sucks. I recommend you find a lot somewhere and take the tram in to the downtown area. Or if your hotel is close-ish to a tram stop, even better. That what we're doing. Food is hit and miss, in my experience. Outside the park, there are plenty of good restaurants but might be pricey. Inside the park . . . . ugh. Never been much of a fan of their food, overall. Cactus League Nachos are good, but not sure if they sell them anymore (it was a specialty cart) as are the Hungry Hill sausages (better than the stuff from the generic concession stands, IMO.)
  21. Were the Yankees using these in spring training games and, if so, where was the outcry then? Or did they just use them privately in camp and just now broke them out to the public?
  22. I’ll go with 17-14. Heck, might even be a rain out in there, so perhaps 16-14??
