  1. Good point which I thought about but you worded the reasons why he wouldn't be traded that completed my thought. It would take a team with a tradeable draft pick making up for the QO pick. Baltimore already gave us theirs.
  2. The tearful SS. It wouldn't have mattered much with the 2 seasons of TJ no play. Reasons to have hope for a Miserioski. Weak control that improves not long after TJ and going from a hopeful #3 to Ace stats.
  3. This injury with pitchers problem need some look into velocity gains. Guys toss 92. Then a year later are 95. Then within 3 years go through Tommy John.
  4. 3-1 final. Would have thought worse reading the thread. Wilson has done a good job as a #5 replacement SP. The team has lost 5? 6? Starting pitchers to injury. They all can't be Cy Youngs. What these replacements have done is incredible. FO will have to make a move acquiring at least a #3SP to finish the season. Adames will sacrificed to do so
  5. He wasn't then. Tommy John fixed him just in time to become a free agent 2 seasons later.
  6. Service time is set with Chourio, so Wiemer being sent down makes more sense.
  7. I feel like Hader who set a few MLB records should have been valued more when traded. San Diego traded for Juan Soto the following day giving up CJ Abrams, MacKenzie Gore, James Wood, and Robert Hassell. The 2 names that stand out that Milw missed out on is Gore and or Wood vs taking on Ruiz. Easy to say in this instance because the team acquired Contreras and Payamps who have exceeded expectations. Something stronger could have results in long run bigger than what the Crew is going to end up with. Nobody traded for Ruiz at the deadline according to above. Just super lucked in to being a 3rd team who acquired to major league players for somebody that was still a prospect with Majors exp. No hype behind him aside from SB threat non top 100prospect.
  8. Weak because Ruiz an OF that Milw had 4 upcoming prospects holding down the position. Gasser that is/was thought of as a backend starting pitcher at peak. My problem with that was the soft tossing. 2022 mpb wrote upper 80s that recently touched 91-92. Bullpen are loaded with flame throwers 96mph+ heat. So Gasser doesn't fit mold, and back end starter peak isn't promising for the majors best RP over the recent years. After Hader's 2023 I imagine the Padres make that trade everytime and feel like they won the trade.
  9. I don't recall but wasn't Gasser a soft tosser when the trade happened? Ruiz was a "who?" "Why" It was a weak trade at the time. Gasser has improved his velocity(if I remembered correctly) and made his debut recently. Ruiz is a stud in the minors, dud in the Majors. Until he does something, will never understand Oakland trading for him, nor Atlanta parting with Contreras for his value. Like mentioned above, they could have traded Hader that offseason and gotten similar value. Padres have a 4th round pick to add to their side of deal. One that would have been end 1st for Milw I believe. Hader was his dominating self last season. Gasser is still where I'm tracking the w/l on Hader trade. There were other Padre prospects the Brewers should have asked for over Ruiz wasn't there at that time?
  10. 2022 Ortiz maxxed his minors season to 26games in AAA. 2023 Chourio 6games AAA. That's a small difference to suggest Ortiz was more ready to play in the majors. How many records did Ortiz set at the AA level for his age? Either way Ortiz wasn't deemed ready by Bal. Then prospect manipulation jumped in. 15games played at MLB level, left him eligible for Roy in 2024 so long as he was ranked by 2 of 3 rankings. Don't know if he did or not. Good reason to trade him had he not.
  11. You're right we do. Chourio is different. He's signed for 8seasons. Optioned or not. Front office has him lined up as face of the franchise. Why worry the fans in the stands? He's a money-maker and doesn't need to perform right now in being so. 215 heading in to tonight. He's in between meeting expectations and being a flop. Which will keep him making money for Milw. I don't believe he's a reason the team is losing games. They are in 1st place and it's still early in the season.
  12. Which your first comment mentioned other small mechanical things in his swing. How much do you want him working on? Work on the others let swinging too hard be something focused when he's still growing, filling out. We could have Tyrone Taylor out there, who unsurprisingly has weak numbers.
  13. Remember he's different. 19yr old who was extended without playing a game. Swinging hard at 20 is something that should be left alone. He's still maturing for 4 more years.
  14. Corbin Burnes value in trade deemed it so?
  15. I do not understand the question? Why do the Brewers want Mateo in the argument over Ortiz?
  16. My preference for hitters is 6'1" to 6'5" the frame on the bodies just present the higher potential vs under 6ft. Frelick is still near .250 and he's probably the type when locked in to have a stretch of multi-hit games. One of those should put him .275+. Then this offseason builds his frame and he's a .300+ hitter.
  17. It is nice the Brewers got 1 of those Rookie 1st starts vs a team who dominated the opponent rather the other way around.
  18. Better than Scooter Gennett's It depends if he bulks his frame. (I don't mean to Thames level) it's like a pitcher, velocity to low. He's not even warning track power right now. That Frelick would do well.
  19. His frame is too small at this level. He needs to bulk up. He's not hitting hard enough.
  20. Kinda posterboy for argument Chourio needs to be in lineup. Anybody seeking offense numbers last year, wanted Turang sent to AAA. Chourio started out really well. Let him fight through this stretch. On Turang, there should be a stat added to slg adjusting it via SBs. Slapping a base hit and standing on 2nd 1 or 2 pitches latter is equal to a double in my mind.
  21. Gameplan. Dare him to get a strike with breaking pitch. That sounds like-Freddy tips his breaking pitches. So Cubs used that cheat code. CC maybe been privy to this last season.
  22. Any pitchers to toss off 40man?
  23. Have them invite me to their room and I'll be sure to instill an opinion or more. I never suggested Tampa or Hicks. I questioned moving up 11 spots for a MSM ranking 6th rd player. In the 4th rd. Did they do it again with Monk? At least he's ranked by them around there.
  24. That ESPN tape doesn't inspire a great pick. Do they do those on purpose? Doesn't fit a narrative and showing weak plays? Wonder why a player near 190 rank you trade up 11 spots and select over 70spots on its ranking?
  25. So they didn't want him. Good luck to him, he's facing an uphill battle. Think the Packers did great with their picks. #1 RB and LB in the draft via ESPN. They are going to blow teams away this season.
