But that's just it Monty. So Lohse signing sold a few more tickets. He cost 11mil to do so. How much money was he adding to in ticket sales? Vs any of the 6.5mil or less SPs would have? He'd have to sell 5.5mil or more in money just to offset his cost vs what those others would have cost. I think there's a strong 2mil in attendance whether the team is Playoff bound or winning in the 70s. What kind of seats is the casual fan who's drawn only by competitiveness going to be buying anyway? General admission? Bleachers? Not the field levels most likely when adding 250k-450k at the end of the season in attendance difference. That would be a great figure to be come up with. What 100k in additional vs less attendance is sold among tickets.

That list is like a horror show of pitching. McCarthy is OK, but now has tommy john. Blanton, Slowey, Bedard, Saunders, and Correia are downright terrible & not even in the majors. Pelfrey was horrific last year with the Twins (I witnessed he and Correia firsthand), but has been ok for a few weeks this season. Kazmir is the only one on the list that rivals Lohse imo. I didn't list these names as 3year deals. Most of them got 1year deals that offseason if not all of them when I looked it up. And that's just it, they all pretty much performed admirably for a 1year contract to be a #4/5 arm that fills innings if needed. Which is what Milw needed as well as that draft pick. The year was 2013 not 2015 which your comment is basing your horror show of pitching on. Go look at the stats they all put up in 2013. While none of them gave 198IP they also weren't 4.5+ERA blowouts. I think I seen all had 120+IP on the season and under 4.5ERA. That 4.5ERA was something we couldn't have guaranteed Lohse of breaking when he signed based on his history. Pretty sure I commented that back then. He was 4.5ERA+ or 3.7ERA and better. Good or disastrous nothing in between which is what those guys would be relied upon as providing. Again, it was the prices for performance and no draft pick cost to your interdivision rival. You get Roberto Hernandez for 6mil, McCarthy for 6.5mil Slowey for under 1mil. We are a Small Market team and that is the type of Inning filling signings they should be making when you need to fill out a rotation or are concerned about the rotation providing you with all the innings you need. Melvin got it wrong and only in trade can he maybe get it right, nevermind the additional cost it was to pay Lohse.

There was the writeup on Fiers value. He like most of the Brewers staff, have given up far too many HRs/9 making his stats look ugly. Brewers have played 21 or 33 games at home, the launching pad for hitters. It's obviously not a good sign for tonight again a Home game for Fiers, but could teams in Pitcher friendly divisions value Fiers a lot more? All those Ks as a Starter. Plus, you have what he's capable of when his pitching is on. the 2012/2014 stretches.

Jonathan Lucroy Trade Challenge
brewcrewdue80 replied to Matt Breen's topic in Transaction Rumors & Proposals
Just to further WildCat's statement on Romero/Walker/Paxton. Has any of the Mariners prospects that were so highly regarded in the previous 2 seasons come to the Majors and produced at all? Brad Miller has been a fail. Nick Franklin isnt proving himself over in Tampa. There's Zunino. Just a bunch of failures to date. I just don't get why Zunino is failing so bad. a #3 pick in a draft, who breezed through I guess too quickly the Minors. Still, he's been getting his experience at the ML level, why hasn't he improved? Especially as a Catcher who gets to receive pitches from Felix Hernandez. Can he not recognize breaking pitches? Wouldn't repetition of catching make him the slight bit better at that? There had to be a reason why he was the #3 pick. One would think that kind of prospect/player would improve as he aged. But Zunino seems to be stuck in the mud. Obviously, his #3 draft picking is were his high prospect ranking came from. If Seattle hadn't called him up in 2013 and played him strictly in the minors for 2014 his lack of numbers would have decreased his ranking as time wore on. Is there a Seattle Franchise bias in ranking their prospects going on? Overrating all of them practically? Dustin Ackley was a top 25 ranking and has a career OPS+ of 92 in over 2000PAs. But then again Kyle Seager never was a top 100 and he's coming off a near 6WAR season. Just feel like Seattle's prospects almost seem so tainted can you really trust acquiring any of them? Of course there's the history of Seattle losing in trades and whomever they trade away wins the other team that trade. I don't even know if I'd take Walker with Romero for Lucroy(does Seattle also throw in Zunino? Maybe you include Lind to make that happen. Or better Lohse. And then hope that both Walker/Zunino age better and become the true talents they are? With Romero just being an avg ML 3b to fill for Ramirez. -
The thing with Lohse and giving up the pick is that Melvin could have signed any number of SPs to 1 or 2year deals for half or less money than he paid Lohse for 2013 such as: Brandon McCarthy, Joe Blanton, Kevin Correia, Roberto Hernandez, Mike Pelfrey, Scott Kazmir, Kevin Slowey, Erik Bedard and Joe Saunders. But he didn't. And thus Milw wound up signing Lohse giving their Division Champion Rival StL Cardinals their 1st rd comp pick and removing the Brewers 17th pick that season. It wasn't set in stone that Lohse was going to be signed prior to the draft. There just weren't any takers when he signed. If he hadn't StL wouldn't have gotten that Pick. Now, based on the stats to date only Stl pick of Marco Gonsalves, Corey Kneble, and the recently called up Michael Lorenzen of Cincy have made it to the Bigs. It's just that they absolutely missed on picking up insurance for Pitching when they should have. It would have been cheap but allowed younger SPs to be put in AAA if they didn't perform. Meanwhile the team had their #5 to trot out there. A small market team could have made their small market move and instead made the 3/33mil splash of cash plus lost their 1st rd pick. Lohse worked out, but that doesn't make it a good signing. It's poor thinking on Melvin's part/MA to not have gone and spent 1-6.5mil on any number of those pitchers as insurance. Gallardo/Peralta was not a Playoff TOR pair to begin with. The team just needed a warm body to fill innings (like the Cubs have now in Hammel besides others) to get them to the AS break and the trade deadline and figure out their strategy in that month. It would have been sell after that May as it was, and maybe if they'd signed Kazmir or McCarthy or Slowey/Hernandez even they may have gotten a prospect in return WHILE saving that draft pick. Just over-estimating the team's true talent.

Who gives a crap? When did Craig Counsell become some hot managing prospect? He's never done anything before to suggest he'd be a really good manager. It's not the Managing part. It's the GM grooming part. Front office type part. That's the what if. IF Tampa hired him or the next franchise. All franchises considered. If you're moving up in the sport, I'd think Milwaukee is mostly the bottom rung. And Milw's chances are suddenly gone to use him.

does anyone think this roster could win a World Series? It's not going to happen. Fans who only want to go to a Brewers game when the Brewers are winning are holding back the franchise. Yes, because Jeremy Guthrie, Alcides Escobar, Mike Moustakas, Omar Infante, Nori Aoki, etc sure looks like a World Series roster to me. As for the "only when they are winning" comment, what exactly is that supposed to mean? Why yes, us Brewer fans want to WIN GAMES. We have the talent on this roster to WIN GAMES. It's the beginning of May for goodness sake, can we wait until June or July before we start the losing discussion? As another poster mentioned, look at the 2012 A's...good thing they didn't throw in the towel & wave the white flag on their season in the middle of May. I'll counter on the KC roster on the fact that it's not the Position players that we are looking at for a roster that can win a World Series. It's that KC had James Shields and a Yordana Ventura to head the rotation. Lohse/Garza/Peralta just aren't in that same mold to be relied on. As to the A's of 2012. Their worst was 9games under .500. Milw already has reached 13games under it. Now, Milw has already climbed to just 10games under .500 and it's far earlier in the season, a lot of time to actually put together the same kind of winning season Oakland managed to after being 9games under. But Milw's pitching staff/depth is nothing like what Oakland possessed.

What is Montero's future position? 1b? This is a former PED user mind you already caught. Does the team need to go that route? His numbers look nice if he were a Catcher like when he was on PED's and a top 10 prospect at....but 1b? I feel his upside would be to reach .800OPS 20HRs at .280/.340 Jason Rogers would appear to have a higher upside with the Bat for 1b. Lind is on his way to a 4WAR if not better season. At a 1b position that is weak in all of Baseball. Only owed 8mil next season. That's cheap for his production. Toronto mis-stepped on trading him away for just Estrada, but they're a team that for Lind's 1b/DH position with Encarnacion/Bautista using up many of those lineups in game(interleagues Lind is out always for Encarnacion) And then add that he was limited to less than 100games in 2 of the last 3 seasons. With the stats of being a platoon LHB. Makes sense at 7.5mil to trade him away for a cheaper Swingman and replace with cheaper 1b option in Smoak. I'd wonder about Miami or Houston at this point with Boston as team's who decide to look to improve their 1b situation. Boston just sent down Allen Craig(thank goodness we didn't go after him!) Mike Napoli is having one of his poor seasons. Take Napoli from Boston from them swapping the difference in cash for this season. And send Milwaukee a top tier prospect in return. Margot and Cecchini would be the target. From Houston, Chris Carter is Mark Reynolds essentially. 3TO below the Mendoza line. Jon Singleton hasn't progressed. To have such a talented young core coming up, Lind makes sense to put together that push. Asking for Velasquez seems about right in this trade. Maybe you can net a Lance McCullers as well by trading away your supplemental pick? Sending Lohse. Houston could be a great trade target for Depth in prospects and to the ML team's future because they have that 80s to 130s type prospects that aren't going to be insane to ask for. Note. Houston does have their own supplemental pick #37 that could be used in trade. That would make an interesting draft for Milw at their pick. Miami took their chance on Michael Morse. He's failed. One of those seasons he's not a surpise hero to a team and explains why he's a Year to year type player. Miami lacks the ideal prospects though. Only have 2 in the top 100 in Kolek and Realmuto an already called up replacment for Saltamacchia at Catcher. Miami's a team that's traded away 1st round picks in Colin Moran and Andrew Heaney and that leaves their top half of prospects fairly weak. Justin Nicolino and Jose Urena are the next in line prospects. Each with their own kinds of warts to not get overly excited about in upside. I like Houston as a fit for Lind. They're a team that could move away from Carter and supplant him with Lind with more time to let Singleton mature in to a ML player as a backup. That competitive balance pick sounds like a very reasonable trade piece under both franchise's circumstances. Houston could keep the better in their minds of Velasquez or McCullers by sending the pick with the worse off thought of prospect.

This is Carlos Gomez we're talking about? A 5+WAR CF with an extra season of team control? A QO future who will net a team a 25-30th 1st rd pick return. So Christian Arroyo would cover that. And then it's Susac..a Catcher the team doesn't need under the circumstance. And Mella for Carlos Gomez. Based on Milw's Middle Infield Arroyo doesn't make a lot of sense either. So this return would rely on Mella being the next Clayton Kershaw or abouts and he's not even a top 100 prospect if that is the case. We'd probably get 8-11WAR in 18years of team control from what I'm looking at for 9-12WAR Gomez is worth if healthy in 1.4-1.6seasons of Gomez.

Trade with the Rays
brewcrewdue80 replied to bill hAll Star's topic in Transaction Rumors & Proposals
Feel like the Rays only get younger and cheaper. A deal with them would likely be for Nelson or Peralta. A deal to reacquire Garza likely would include 25-30mil from the Brewers in money for his contract. Besides, I thought the Rays were in a rebuild type year. The way they plan and make trades I doubt they'll buy anyone for a playoff run this season. -
For Buster Posey or Madison Bumgarner....Only two players worth any bit of Carlos Gomez.
-
Big fan of Garza still with what should be an easy affordable contract for any SP of his caliber. He's making less than Gallardo this year. He was someone predicted to sign for 4/64mil not 4/50mil with a heckuva team friendly injury/minimum Starts clause to make it even cheaper. Even at the highest with paying the full clause it's cheaper for 5years than predicted for his 4year projected deal. There's nothing really to be cause for concern when looking at Fangraphs. Higher Groundball %. The Runs are of the HR/FB%/higher linedrive %. Pretty easy to think he'll correct the numbers and reduce what he's performed to thus far. A Fastball that is above average generally, but below avg this year? Not lossed velocity on it. So just location on a FB and he's back to being a high quality #3 if not low end #2. As to that Mets article proposal. Yeesh! What would the writer then ask for Wilmer Flores? Guess one of Johnny Hellweg or Kyle Wren would do? That's about the comparison I'm reading. Same thing with Kyle Lohse. Chris Reed or Austin Barnes. Projected below avg Major League players. You gotta give up more than that if you're taking Lohse as your Playoff contending SP for the remainder of the season. Maybe Both but not one or the other. And I'd rather sit for a better offer than taking 2 with lower upside in talent. The read on Jose De Leon is the type that sounds like a deal for a trade.
-
Lind is a should be trade. We have Jason Rogers/Matt Clark and are bailing out on the 2015 season. There's no need to keep him. Reasons are exactly why Toronto traded him away. His cost, his injury history(I want to say Toronto fans were commenting good luck with 70games missed. thank you for Estrada.) He's doing everything that you hope he'd do in a sell situation. You cross your fingers he remains healthy with this production to trade him away before he goes down to a long DL stint. What Cost Milw Estrada, has the looks of bringing back a top 75prospect type value at minimum in return.

2015 Brewers' 1st-Rd. Pick Speculation
brewcrewdue80 replied to brewcrewdue80's topic in MLB Draft & International Signings
Well if that mock played out, You'd have to believe the Brewers select one of the injured pitchers like Aiken or Matuella. At least be considering it. Ian Happ would be there too, who has that quick moving College bat feel to him. Good read on that article, at least explains who a number of those teams are scouting and in on with their pick. One might have to wonder if what the DBacks are planning with mass underslot signing if they aren't going to then attempt to sign Aiken or Matuella who's asking price may be too much for any team not picking in the top 10 and don't select them outright? -
Ryan Braun may just be worse than Khris Davis defensively. Braun consistently runs horrible routes, while his throws are stronger the accuracy is a joke, and his reaction time is embarrassing. There is really nothing to like about Braun's defense except an occasional highlight reel catch. Then again throw me out there for 162 games and I am sure I can make some cool catches too. Ryan Braun 2014 dWAR= -1.6 Khris Davis 2014 dWAR= -0.2 You are basing that -1.6 WAR defensively on a position Braun hadn't started everyday in the Majors previously in order to accommodate Davis's lacking arm. Literally a Rookie at that position.

So many pages to read, I maybe read 15 of them in 3days w/o making a comment due to be so far behind. I am glad Roenicke is gone. I don't believe he helped the clubhouse chemistry. That the players cohesively played better because of his managing. Just poor approaches at the plate, running the bases in situations(why most Gomez attempt stealing 3b with 2outs? Running on contact any ball out of the infield that's a hit, he's going to score!) My belief that he doesn't protect batters by throwing at more hitters when his were hit in games. I don't care about that one game or the series result with that matter, I look at it, as the other 29 MLB team managers know that this attitude to bean a player back is coming....And that stops them from doing it being a positive for the team over the season. It's the impression he would have left and not the Win/Loss outcome. And I also believe in team chemistry/clubhouse cancer and I think he may have been one by all that he was for a manager. The I don't know why we have this talent on a roster and we go on these losing stretches.... Lack of fight is what I hear/see. And that to me goes in to the dugout and the performance of the team/"individuals". He was just too behind the scenes, not making noise and trudge along. Not exciting. Where do you find the fire in your belly with a leader like that? And maybe that is also why the Team itself of players kind of lack a Clubhouse leader. Not Braun, not Gomez, and we turn to Lucroy? Why didn't he groom and find that? If he wasn't going to be that guy himself. Maybe Counsell will be that leader. Or identify and make a leader of the young players he manages forthcoming. Already have the Come From behind win which began vs Kershaw of all SPs. I am all for the Manager hire. Counsell is young, was already desired by Tampa, and has been the talk of being groomed as a future GM. He must be bright/super smart in baseball operations, and that could be translated in to also managing baseball. We're supposedly in a losing phase right? Which should last 3years regardless. I think locking Counsell up is a smart move vs. him being taken to some other franchise. Giving him just the interim tag would leave him available to other teams.

Marlins release Saltalamacchia
brewcrewdue80 replied to Matt Breen's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Salty. How quick to forget? The guy is just not a good game manager. His Errors(like the WS when with Boston) and games lost defensively by throwing the ball away trying to get a final of a game at 3b vs letting your pitcher get the final out. That is what I remember of him following him in Miami. His name btw for jersey is custom made outside the normal so that costs a bit I'm sure. He's average, at best statistically, and it's been bad the last year+ since he was paid, I doubt he's going to be improving much as he ages. A Catcher with 470 PAs as his career high in a season. Can't believe he got the money he did. Must have been a tough C Free Agency or, like an owner signing making a splash of cash to appear real but doing so by overpaying. The casual fan won't know...they'll see 21mil over 3 years on what was a losing low budget franchise and think the guy must mean something. Not someone for the Brewers to get, and especially not the reason to make a trade ASAP likely taking a worse offer to rush in trading Lucroy than waiting for the highest offer. -
Jonathan Lucroy Trade Challenge
brewcrewdue80 replied to Matt Breen's topic in Transaction Rumors & Proposals
To take a Walker/Paxton/Hultzen+package for Lucroy? Wasn't that about the package for Justin Upton? Something along that line? Now, you're taking a former #2 talk Walker who's yet to really produce, and a former #3 projected Paxton who are pitching for the Mariners on the season. Hultzen was also a #2 type talk of a SP. You'd have to be insane to give away 2 top Pitching prospects for a Catcher, a position you had a top 40 prospect who's yet to come together on his own in Zunino. There are just some things that don't make sense to me in the Mariners proposal. Why give up on Zunino and a #2 type SP in Walker to acquire a Catcher that had Zunino been what you thought he was, they'd be acquiring the same kind of player? Seattle is 5games under .500, do they have to put a team together to win today? Why rush to acquire Lucroy and ignore Walker/Zunino going through growing pains that may make you're team a Playoff dynasty type for the next 3 seasons? Lucroy isn't the piece the Mariners need for them to become playoff certainty. Zunino is healthy, they have a backstop to play, even if it's poorly currently for whatever reason?, it'd be something different if Zunino was out for the year, One of Paxton or Walker were pitching to #3 innings eating stuff vs #4 or worse type results to make the other expendable. I try to always think like Melvin said about trades, especially since he's the Brewers GM who's going to make the trade happen, He's looking for trades that help both teams in theory. I don't see the Mariners trading for Lucroy helping them, unless they did it by trading Zunino to Milw plus maybe Walker and not a whole lot more if anything at all....And I'm sure the folks here laugh and think that's absurd to take on trash at this point for the AS Lucroy is. Swihart from Boston. Another why type trade? I feel like that's a sideways move for Boston and then they have to add prospects to him. Houston is another team that I don't get why make trades? You did all you did losing to create this kind of young quality core...Why move some today when it's your 1st year competiting? Stand pat and let the young team learn from the season and as you add Correa/Appel and whatnot of guys to your roster you have your winning team next season and the year after. Not just 2015 and maybe 2016 if you hadn't traded away your young core that was supposed to be joining your team. Now, my team that I'd watch out for to acquire Lucroy, would be Arizona. They've always made some quirky trades, and I know that GM is gone, but Lucroy becoming the Catcher for them would really fit that team's core of players. You take the DBacks rotation that will get a Patrick Corbin back and having Archie Bradley to also sit atop the rotation, you can realistically see Arizona wanting Lucroy to make them a Playoff type team. But, like I said you gotta watch out for them, they have to maintain a record to be a Playoff run team. Imagine Lucroy mixed in with Goldschmidt through 2017? Nice tandem plus the Starting Pitching of Corbin/Bradley? Also DBacks were the team that went on Yasmany Tomas. Lucroy to Arizona makes a lot of sense. How about from the prospect side? Simple, they have Braden Shipley who essentially is Arizona's #1 prospect a top 40. I wouldn't think 2 young SP would be acquired in the trade, so no Blair or Toussaint and no Yoan Lopez. The next couple prospects would seem to fit Milw's needs. Brandon Drury a 3b prospect in AA and blocked by Tomas or Jake Lamb. Key here Blocked. Same can be said about Peter O'Brien a former Catcher prospect who's been moved to OF duty as he's being labeled more as a 1b prospect future...something Goldschmidt blocks as well. So a Shipley, Drury, O'Brien and then Jose Herrera a top International Catcher signee of a couple years back with some upside getting Milw a Catcher beyond Lucroy and Maldonado. See how the trade would help both teams? It really depends how you view Shipley if you accept it or not. -
Jonathan Lucroy Trade Challenge
brewcrewdue80 replied to Matt Breen's topic in Transaction Rumors & Proposals
I'm thinking that with Lucroy being referred to as off the trade market... It really shows what I've been saying on prospects to acquire. There's not the prospect to acquire suiting Lucroys values from teams who fitas buyers vs teams who fit as sellers, vs teams that are in division. Think about what I listed for a proposal. It's just not there. I think the top 25 are a big separation from the rest. And the rest aren't a good starting point. -
Jonathan Lucroy Trade Challenge
brewcrewdue80 replied to Matt Breen's topic in Transaction Rumors & Proposals
You are missing Houston as a possibility. Houston has Appel, Correa (not going to happen), Feliz, Velasquez, and Santana. I know the Astros traded for Gattis over the off season but he hasn't hit all that well for the Astros and he will be 30 next season. The Astros only have Castro and he hasn't looked all that great since 2013. I don't really like Appel and I would rather get Feliz instead over Appel. If you want more control and a more polished pitcher then Appel would be the way to go but Appel has the same upside as Jungmann. If the Brewers could get Feliz and Santana for Lucroy that would be an awesome haul. I would also look to get Kemp or Moran but I would prefer Kemp over Moran as he brings more upside. I wouldn't be surprised if Gattis would be included in this trade. If the Brewers wanted to get Correa they would have to give up a lot more and I don't think the Brewers have the chips to get Correa. It's not that I'm forgetting about them it's that Correa is about to begin his career for Houston and not going to be touched in a trade with Milw. That leaves Appel who being a #1 pick of a draft less than 2 years ago seems like a NonChance to acquire. And that's it for Houston to have top 50 prospects right now. That's what SRB was commenting the only way he'd give up Lucroy would be that requirement. So the Astros don't qualify by that comment. -
FWIW doing some math you're right by 1 game. Both team did have a 71-55 record with 36games to go. Milw up 2.5games Mets up 5games. The Brewers from that point on in the season finished 6games worse than that Mets team. Based on the winning Pct at the time of each times falling apart Mets had a .574 vs Brewers .559 and when you project along the same win pct of what that would have led to Mets would have had 92.5wins Brewers had they kept winning at .559 would have had 91wins. Philly did get to face the Mets and swept them taking that 7game lead down to 3.5 with 14games to go. It's not abnormal at any point of the season for a team to gain 6games on 1 single team. A soft losing streak 2-8 vs a solid winning run of 8-2. If the Mets had beaten Philly one of those 3 games, they win the division. Brewers can't say that 1 game cost them the division or even a Wild Card berth. Went from a .559 winning rate to .305. Mets were .294 from their .574. Pretty equally epic if you ask me. Guess way I look at it. The Mets went to a 30% win rate from 57% for only 17games. The Brewers went from 56% win rate to 30% for 36games...19games epically longer than the Mets.

Jonathan Lucroy Trade Challenge
brewcrewdue80 replied to Matt Breen's topic in Transaction Rumors & Proposals
I figured I'd get ripped. Castellanos was a top 30 prospect mind you. He's 23 and only 1 full season in to his career. I don't think Anthony Rizzo became a breakout superstar until last year, his 3rd full playing. The trade would absolutely solve the 3b situation for the team for the future. Hill and Jimenez look like your 19/20yr high upside acquisitions. Kubitzka? He's getting the job done to the tune of 3+ GB/AO ratio with an 8k+/9 to date. Castellanos is a ML player not a prospect. He's young with upside and at a position of need for Milw. What kind of return do you want Milw to ask for in trading Lucroy? You want top 50 prospects. Well that means you want ML ready prospects for the most part. A number of the to 50 are starting for their ML teams. Only 13 are age 20 or younger. Most playing for losing type teams yet or like Kolek being the #2 draft pick last season. You can acquire these types. Unless you're offering Gomez. It's like Crew suggesting Urias or Seager 2 years ago before they rose up to being top 10 prospects. I don't believe Urias was even in the top 100 at the time. I don't like Hill personally from what he reads as, but he's young and was somehow worthy to be a 1st rd selection. Kubitzka's performances are going to eventually take notice like Arcia's. Jimenez is the kind of RP arm that always seems to get thrown in a deal like Hellweg/Pena. Good numbers to date for him even in the PR winter league where he allowed 0 runs. Urias won't be had for anybody. Seager is supposedly off the table too, but they'll listen to offers, as not they are not offering him to clubs. We overpay and it'd likely be Seager for Lucroy...Straight up in order for them to do the deal. Is that worthy for Lucroy off of your requirements? Minnesota has 6 ranked in the top 50 so boom down to 44 to even ponder on. Philly has 2. 42 left. Mets 1 no need at C. 41. Take the ML star Starters added. 9 more. 32 prospects left. 7 more prospects in division 25 left. This is what the list is left Carlos Correa-Not Francisco Lindor-Not Lucas Giolito-Not Seager-Not Urias-Not Yoan Moncada-Not Joey Gallo-Not+Competitively Tex even in it? Jon Gray- Maybe? Henry Owens-top 50 but with flaws not worthy of Lucroy for acquire Dylan Bundy-Managed to not make the Majors for 2years now Luis Severino-Guy named Brian McCann Andrew Heaney- Maybe Tyler Kolek-Not Alex Jackson-Not Mark Appel-Not Eddie Butler-Maybe Aaron Nola-Philly Not Jose Peraza-Atl Not Braden Shipley-Maybe Raul Mondesi-Maybe? Hunter Harvey-Maybe and then? Jorge Alfaro-Tex Not competitive Hunter Renfroe-Maybe but worth Lucroy? DJ Peterson-Maybe but worth Lucroy Austin Hedges-Maybe. Baltimore's Harvey or Bundy is a good start for a trade proposal, but without including both, you don't get any ML upside filler. You end up with Colorado, Seattle, San Diego,Arizona and Boston as teams to get your top 50 prospects from most likely. None of them over .500 currently.
