  1. This is basically 7straight games scoring 2runs or less. We found 3Runs vs. Lincecum in the 8th/9th innings in a blowout to score 5 that day. Otherwise yeah. 7 Straight.
  2. We threw in the Towel in this game in the 7th inning? Down 6 to the Cubs? Schafer hitting for Braun to lead the 8th?
  3. Yes I do believe the Brewers would fire Roenicke. But not until the season is over. I'd say that not exceeding 82wins on the year would put him on the Hot seat. We'd miss the Playoffs have a laughing stock collapse( would mean an 11-25 record or worse finish) And there's just no reason to head in to a next season with the same cast of Managers believing they will get it done when all of them failed the year prior. All fresh faces/ideas are what's called for at that point.
  4. LOL Nice! Parra's extended AB gets Arrieta out after 6. And Szcur? 1st pitch out....Arrieta would have had a better AB.
  5. 75%...25% watching the game will be Cardinal Fans that could care less. How about the score right now 7-1 SF
  6. What do you know a Single by Aram and a Double by Davis. Makes Braun's SB attempt in the 3rd more glaring of how Stupid this team's Baserunning way are.
  7. http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/MIL/2008-schedule-scores.shtml Check out the stretch in Sept - then they get rolled in Philly for 4 games for nail in Yosts coffin. RRR is starring at the same fate Wow. 80-56 to 84-71. If we are in the midst of a run like that...as someone put it. It may be hard to win 81games on the season.
  8. LOL 6pitch Inning. Arrieta going 7 tonight now.
  9. Exactly! Two Batters coming up that can hit a dbl or HR with 1 swing. and Instead you run. Get to Chicago's Bullpen should be the plan! Not let's let the Starter off the hook with a Baserunning Blunder that's unneccesary!
  10. Well not Arrieta will make it through 6ip by that turn of events.
  11. ^^^^Agreed. He's never been an Ace. A Legit Ace. And was Labeled a #4SP by pundits last year while being in his Pitcher's age PRIME! If he was even remotely close to being worthy of his number being Retired. He'd be hanging on to a King Felix type contract right now and we aren't discussing if he's even worth having his option picked up.
  12. To put a positive spin on things. Arrieta already above 50pitches in the 3rd
  13. The Struggles are in avoding scoring 2runs or fewer. Since Game 81: Brewers have scored 2runs or fewer 22times in 56games! 39.3%! This vs. 21 times in the first 81games 25.9% When you're essentially only giving your Pitching staff run support to win 6 every 10 games, it's no wonder we're collapsing! For Comparison: Stl: 20 2runs or less since game 81. 26 times in the first 81 Pitts: 13 2runs or less since game 81. 30times in the first half(17 in the first 33games!) Only 25 total in last 104games. Cincy: 22 2runs or less since game 81. 22 times in first 81games. Cubs: 17 2runs or less since game 81. 30times in the first 81games. Cincy has been w/o Votto/Phillips for much of the 2nd half. And have 1 single batter with an .800+OPS on the season throw in Frazier .797/Votto .799 and it's 3. Totals: Milw 43games for season-Trending worse StL 46games for season-trending same Pitts 43games for season-Trending better Cincy 44games for season-trending same Cubs 47games for season-Trending Better Now what's staggering is that Milw has 5-6batters in their everyday lineup that has an OPS .785 or higher. Stl:Adams/Peralta/Holliday .785+ Pitts:Martin/McCutchen/Walker/ and I'll add Harrison .785+ Cincy:Votto/Mesoraco/Frazier .785+ Cubs:Rizzo and maybe throw Coughlan in there(under 400ABs) .785+ Now we avg 4.25 runs a game Pitts: 4.19 StL: 3.84 Cubs: 3.82 Cincy: 3.76 That's why that 22times with 2runs or less since game 81 is so glaring. The fact that we are trending down and Pitts has been trending right since the first 33games this year just tells me we won't win the divison.
  14. Yep. That's amazing that Anaheim has 70wins since Milwaukee started 20-7. 17games better than us since that start! Comes out to being basically 8th-15th worst in Baseball by a game or 2. Or being exactly the same team we were last season. Which finished 15-12 in Sept! To spin it positively! And my mention was that if we lost today we'd have the worst record in the Central since starting 20-7.
  15. That's depressing and pretty much says it all. I was actually just going to look that up... remember the whole gambler's fallacy argument on the MLB forum from earlier in the season? That's why I hate the "if the team only plays .XXX baseball from here on out we win the division" type talk, it's always brought up after the most extreme hot streak of the team, and it never works out that way. That would be a much better argument around the all-star break. Yes but IF Milw played just 7 games over .500 the last 135games. 71-64 a .529pct Then 91-71 record was going to happen. That is 5months of games to go 14-13 basically. You can go 10-17 in a month if you avg 15-12 the other 4. A team that wins 20 games in April and 18Games in June(38-18 record combined) It's stupifying how they've won just 35games in the other 3months. 35-46 Equates to 11.66-15.33 Monthly avg. the other 3 months. 19-9 for 2months. to 11.66-15-33 the other 3. Not 12-15. avg.(72-63) Not 13-14 avg.(75-60) and the .529pct avg. 14-13(82-57) After June they were 18games above .500. Past halfway on the season 51-33 .607pct Just 78games left over 3months.(26per avg) How does the team just falter from a 6-4 per 10game team. to a 4-6 per 10 game for the next 2months? 22-31 since that start. We've had a Healthy Pitching staff(Garza-Nelson bridge a close enough FIP to be the same SP) So this all falls on the Offense/Bullpen.
  16. Just want to state. If we lose to Chicago tomorrow Milwaukee will have the worst record of all the NL Central teams since their 20-7 start.
  17. 1st of ten games lost due to 2runs or less Run Support. 1b+SS are an absolute HOLE.
  18. CHI - 2-1 STL - 2-2 MIA - 2-2 CIN - 2-1 STL - 1-2 PIT - 0-3 CIN - 2-1 CHI - 1-2 12-14 Yep and we miss the Playoffs. 10 of those 14 losses will be where the offense scores 2 runs or less. That's been the team's problem for some 100games now. They'll win 7 games because they score 6 or more.
  19. I don't know what kind of influence Parra can really have. If Milw wants to pay him 6mil to be the 4th OF they'll do it. Being Released isn't an option. Traded yes. But there's no way Milw just Releases him because the "4th" OF tag doesn't suit him and he doesn't want to play for them under that tag. As for the Castillo Signing. Wow. I'm actually getting sickened by these contracts. This is a 27! year old Cuban player with "Power" being given a 6+! year contract that takes him to age 33? Really? Really? That's just absurd! The 10+mil per year isn't crazy I suppose(must be nice to be worth more than Gomez! never playing a ML game) It's that he's Guaranteed money for the next 6+years at that 10+mil! And a 13.5mil Player Option for that final year! What happens when his(less than Cespedes) comparisons result in a .190BA with 24HRs and OPS barely at .700 because I'm sure he'll walk less than 4% of his PAs, and he's dropped in 2016 forever to never play again. Can he just exercise his 2019-2020 13.5mil player option, even though he's been out of the ML games for 2years? How does that work? I'd respect a 4year deal with the 5th being a vested option. and a 6th year being a mutual option.(if applicable) I really hope this blows up in the Red Sox' face and the guy turns in to nothing more than a .230/.265/.400 OF who they are stuck paying 70+mil for the next 6years. I'm just not a fan of these International signings that supercede the kind of Signings American HS/College players sign only to have to deal with the Team Control 3years to Arb factor before becoming a FA 6years later(at earliest) where they can get the opportunity for a deal likes Castillo's.
  20. I think Castro is on bereavement list and thus Soler was called up as a replacement for the few days he's gone. Probably as a little look see besides the Sept Callups.
  21. Not ever going to happen.
  22. Um, so since I posted my frustration and asked for a 15-5 stretch...we've won 5 in a row! Can I get what I asked for and get 15 out of 20 in the Win column?
  23. Win! 2hits allowed by our pitching staff?!! Wow big change compared to @Tor. That's a much needed 5 in a row! And I'm feeling good about facing Dickey vs. our sluggers tomorrow! Yeah!
  24. Just curious, looking at our team's top 5 batters, I think it's safe to assume they all will reach 70RBI or more when the season ends.(wanted to put 75+ for all) Where does that rank among Brewer teams? Have they had 75RBI+ by 5 players in a season previously? And I looked over the Franchise stats. 6 times they've had 5players in a season amass 70 or more RBI in 1 season, with twice having 6players! '82 had 5players at 97 or more! and Molitor had 71 for 6th over 70. Was too young to witness that season, holy cow!
  25. Just noticing this but, Edwin Encarnacion's Slg pct is higher than Segura's OPS! .582-.578 WOW Aaaand Wow! Fiers currently sits with 20IP and 8..8hits! allowed since his return to the Rotation!
