  1. Is Davante Adams a WR Weapon? In 2 games Adams missed during 2020, Rodgers threw for 610 yards and 7 TD (305/game and 3.5 per game). In the other games (with Adams) Rodgers averaged 263.5 Yds and less than 3 TDs per game. So if Rodgers needs those "weapons" why was he able to so easily perform without his #1 WR and "Weapon"? Both of those games were early before the so-called " Until Rodgers clicked with Tonyan"... Yes Adams is a weapon. My word. He is somebody a defense schemes against is my point of calling him a weapon. MVS weapon is one thing, flat out deep routes with his speed. Pretty basic every team has one of those. Youre also comparing 2 games to 14games. Where you can take Rodgers worst game and add it to those two and stats are below the 14 game avg. Atlanta was the worst pass defense in relation to yards given up. 4 of 7TDs were from inside the 10yd line. A run play for Jones or Williams on 1 of those that lead to a TD takes at least 1 away. Going back to Chase Claypool. The guy at 29 a good number of us here suggested with prediction. Look up Claypool's combine and body. Now look up Atlantas shiny new pick Kyle Pitts at 4. The 1st non QB picked this year. Tell me where the difference is between the two other than TE-WR? 1" height? Vs +7" vertical? Mismatch? Both had comps to Charles Johnson from the numbers. Yep we passed on that Aaron with you in mind.
  2. Love the reach on well Tom Brady's new team just drafted a qb in 2nd rd, wheres the angst from him? #64 vs trading up to select with your 1st rd selection in a WR heavy draft? Come on man,we're 1 full draft after the 2020 fiasco and this Rodgers' vocal coming out. Still doing comps on Favre to Rodgers draft whereas Rodgers fell to their pick. Antsy Pants Gutekunst just couldn't wait to draft Love. When you make the move Gutey did trading up, selecting a QB and cost the team a 4th rd selection, right there in front of Rodgers eyes showed him they had 2 picks left to help him get a WR from this deep draft, only worsened when they got zero. Rodgers is right to be disgruntled. Going with the (top nfl offense] argument he should be quiet, he had the WR weapons? Nope doesn't fly. Until Rodgers clicked with Tonyan nobody here believed Rodgers had a red zone target to throw to beyond Adams. Nobody here could predict Adams to have a record making season. MVS was a failure. Lazard was a new source for some receptions, but has he ever been the #1 targeted reason GB won a game the last 2 seasons? A game changing performance to strategize your defense against? 1-100yd game on 3 catches in 2019. 1 more 100+ in 2020. The team had a huge need that every draft mocker said needed a WR and in the deepest WR pool in the 21st century Gutey picked none. The biggest eff you to the #1 player on your team who needed one. Trading up is the cause of this. You flat out show you dont care for your #1 player on the team when Gutekunst did what he did. It's no surprise Rodgers doesn't have a care left to play for the team.
  3. Theres the #1 pick team that gets the automatic A because they selected the #1 player everybody said was the #1 player, always get a kick out of that. Like give a grade sans the top 2 pick teams. I thought Stokes was an excellent pick when I seen a writeup on him and a Detroit fan comments hope we pick him so we can move Okudah to nickle packages. Like okay your #3 pick last season pass him on.
  4. I don't see a reason for the team to trade Rodgers until after June 1st. I think I heard it was a 17mil relief vs the cap it doing it earlier? What is the rush to do it any sooner? Training Camp starts later than that...yes? No? I find it funny how the Chicago Bears can head in to training camp with Justin Fields given the likelihood he'll be starter Game 1., yet Love is not ready after being on the sidelines in the film room, learning playbook, etc for nearly a year now? GB has a 26-6 team roster last 2 seasons built in front of him. Not a team tanking for years and inexplicably making bad roster moves, bad draft picks and having a team not ready to play with a rookie QB. Does that mean I think Love will lead this team to 12-4 or 13-3? No of course not. He's just not going to stand under center with an offense that has no identity nor an offensive line that lacks experience pass blocking as a unit together. He'd have 2 top notch RBs to hand off to, an elite WR and pass catching TE to throw to. I'm pretty sure when he was drafted, a large majority of us concluded in 2 years he becomes the guy. So what if he gets only one. Its more than Fields will get. More than the QBs drafted before him got. Hes a 1st rd selection behind an obvious good offense scheme. Get out there and show who should be removed from Green Bay. Rodgers or Gutekunst for drafting you in 2020. Let Rodgers sit out. Not report to any training camp or 2021 preseason activities. When he begins missing games you fine him for not honoring the contract week by week. Every week that goes by you're regaining money you'd lose, and a team can lose a QB that ups a great offer to take Rodgers off our hands. Just see how far this all will go right on through the 2021 season. I personally believe Rodgers is to narcissistic to sit out of football and not increase his playing stats. He'll show up and pad those stats. Favre couldn't retire, neither will Rodgers. Sitting out I can see, but somewhere this will sort itself out.
  5. How true. Moved up to take Love with a 4th. To move up 7spots in the 3rd cost the same? Why not the Comp 4th pick? Now watch we trade a 5th and move up 10spots with the 4th rd pick we still have.
  6. Oh how I hope Amari will turn in to GB's next talented KR/PR. Throw in 2 catches a game rookie year.
  7. I like the pick. Watched some film highlights, including a blurb from Bulldogs fan site that mentioned he was the lowest graded recruit (3Star) of Georgia's class and that he was a RB first 3years in HS. That gives me some hope with his speed that maybe he can field kicks. Essentially he's a little raw to the position and took a big enough step in 2020 to be a 1st rd GB selection. Keep maturing and improving, pairing up with Alexander and Savage theres a lot of Ints coming. Get a DE to rush the passer!
  8. I will give the board relief this next year after this draft because I invested no time looking at mocks watching highlight videos combine stats etc. I'll likely be sleeping by time GB does anything and will have no feelings on if its a good pick a wasted opportunity, or a terrible pick. Im at work now, i wanted to post a player A and Player B comp heading in to this draft vs last year's draft but can't do that here.
  9. Yet here we are with the team's #1 RB signed to an extension. Dillon will make a fine #2 during his next 3 year tenure. If I draft a RB in 2021 am I not drafting for the future? RBs are easily replaceable. Team had 2 quality RBs, not 1 or 0. What Gutey did was guarantee his first 2 picks were not going to see the field without injury. Your comment acts like if I were making the draft selection that player wouldn't have a future on the team. My thought process is that with a 2nd rd pick Im drafting a player that should fill a need in that season. Dillon and Love were neither. As to Deguara another RB/TE hybrid. So we needed him why? Tonyan, Sternberger, Williams, Jones, and Lewis? Yeah he got injured by 2nd game but tell me where are these snaps he was going to play without a major injury as #4 behind both RB and TE. Wheres the logic in this draft when your rookies make the biggest impact of any major sport the same year drafted?
  10. If Godley had stepped on the dirt vs the grass I'd understand the call. For me, the fact he remained on the grass when his momentum was carrying towards the base line, shows he had no intent on interference. Also suggesting Diaz let up because he slowed for Godley "interference" ignores that Godley just flipped the ball to 1b and Diaz clearly was out by 4-5steps. No need to bust those last steps he was out at that moment.
  11. The complaint stems from the player you(I) hoped GB would draft that played 4times the snaps of what GB used for their first 4 draft picks(2 on Love] 816-201 snaps total played. I would have to imagine that was lowest amount of snaps played by a teams usage of its first 4 rounds picks by even more than that. Please name me a team that got fewer game snaps out of their first 4 pre-draft picks? It was a fiasco. Complete throw-away of any positive 2020 production out of their top 4 draft picks. It is virtually impossible to see Gutekunst have a worse draft tomorrow than what he did in 2020. Fiasco
  12. There is only one option after last year's draft fiasco. To trade down when a player expected to go top 15 who perfectly fits what GB could use to disappoint once again.
  13. Just nice to know the team will be using one of the trade returns from Arcia trade. With all the injuries to the offensive side Arcia would have actually been useful during this stretch. Taking Garcia, Hiura, and Shaw 3-5 in the order after the recent stretch of poor hitting shows how much team misses Cain and Yelich.
  14. Holy moly I did not know draft pick trade values were so massively upper tilted and ruined by the end of the 1st rd basically. Moving from 4 to 3 would technically cost a 50th selection. But moving from 5 to 4 is equivalent to pick 100? Essentially trade down if youre a top 8 is huge draft capitol. Trading up after is a big loss on draft capitol. You had better win with that pick.
  15. Is a trade for #15 that cost Love, 29 and 4th rd pick idea smoking? When did NE throw in their 2022 1st rd pick? Because only that might entice me to do it. Do they have #15 in the 2nd? That would have to be included for me to consider it. Youre talking 3 picks for 14spots moved up? #24-29 and the 4th equal a 15? Talk about doing NE a favor while screwing yourselves even further from that 2020 draft fiasco. NE would have had to use a lot of draft capitol to reach the first rd to get Love and 4yrs plus 5th option. GB basically saves them from that loss, Love has a 5th option and has spent a year learning behind a Goat of a QB. Just asinine to give up 3 for 1 because any success Love gives NE will be worth more than the 15 they move up to. NE would have to give up their 2nd or ideally 2022s 1st rd.
  16. My Thoughts, are pretty known. No Catchers in the first 2 rounds of a draft. Their ceilings are extremely low, a good majority end up unable to stick at catcher, and you end up with a 700 OPS batter with the sludge athletic ability of a catcher trying to be fit at a position that bat won't play. High probability they are platoon bats. Listing successful catchers in last 10 drafts of 1st 2 rounds looks something like: Brian McCann:76th overall 2011 2nd rd 7.3 WAR 693OPS Kevin Plawecki: 35th overall 2012 1st rd 3.0WAR 653 OPS Mike Zunino: 3rd overall 2012 1st rd 6.8WAR 665 OPS Reese Mcguire: 14th overall 2013 1st rd .8WAR 725OPS 63games for a different team career Victor Caratini: 65th overall 2013 2nd rd 1.3WAR 695OPS No games played for team that drafted him. Andrew Knapp: 53rd overall 2013 2nd rd .8WAR 684OPS Kyle Scwarber: 4th overall 2014 1st rd 26games in his career behind the plate. Remember Max Pentecost? selected before Kodi Mediros at 11 that year. AA in 2018 highest reached Tyler Stephenson: 11th overall 2015 1st rd. .5WAR 988OPS 48PA in 19games. Good start Will Smith: 32nd overall 2016 1st rd 3.0WAR 921 OPS Best top 2 round pick for a C Joey Bart: 2nd overall 2018 1st rd .4WAR 609 OPS There are a lot of C drafted that have either never made it to MLB or have worse than 0WAR. The upside is so minimal as you can see. I just prefer hoping to find a ToR SP or a position player that has 10+WAR upside. Hated the Ray pick, Didn't like the Grisham pick Hiura was exciting for a bat pick. Turang had the upside. Lutz had the upside. Kelly and Small fit the ToR. Mitchell from Spring Training looks a guarantee to reach 10WAR. Brewers have filled their minors with Catcher picks already that fit where I would take them 3rd 2020 4th and 5th 20199 3rd 2017 Feliciano was a 2nd rd in 2016 above my thoughts. 700 OPS type in the minors likely translate to so many of the above 650s at best in the Majors when the schedule gets longer for him. Henry was 6th rd in 2016. 5 Catchers in last 5 drafts top 6 rounds taken.
  17. I'm with Jopal on this one. Think Nottingham held up a 40man spot couple years too long. Pina has always looked a good backup both as a catcher hitting but really with how the pitchers perform. Nottingham just never imo felt right behind the plate for the pitchers. Good luck to him. Hes got a job with some team. Maldonado I seen just extended with a team. Thats something maybe 6years ago youd be like okay. That he remains a better option shows how poor catchers are in this day and age. Exact reason I never want to see 1 drafted in the first 2 rounds.
  18. Can't look at names this early but what we'll likely need is a vet SP, obviously a bullpen reliever, and you stare at a utility or 1b depending on Hiura and Urias moving forward to deadline. Do we get that all? No. Just the positions of likely need filled at the time of trade deadline. I love the pitching staff and all but, you're kidding yourself if you're not worried how healthy those arms are down the stretch unless you're named Brett Anderson. 30 starts at 5IP is 150innings. Something only Woodruff of the young 4 has eclipsed in a year as a professional and that was in 2016. Burnes, Peralta, Houser haven't eclipsed 130 IP in a year as a professional. I think Woodruff will be fine he's got the workhorse build. Burnes I dont feel to confident without a pause or break during the regular season. Peralta or Houser I wouldn't be surprised their IP having some management via Lindblom and Lauer having a stint at 3 and 5 in rotation. (Hoping Lauer fixes himself over the next month-ish or 2 to be a 5)
  19. Twins gotta be sick to their stomach since they were shutout twice yesterday in doubleheader losses.
  20. The Padres fans are 4 games vs LA from having a season feel lost. 5games back and facing Dodgers in LA they realistically are staring down 7 or 9games back after Sunday. The highest of hopes coming in to the season and before end of April you're 7 or 9 games behind LA. Brewers meanwhile 1game up in first place! Lets go put Cubs behind 6games after Sunday.
  21. What did the manager get ejected for? Gamefeed took a crap i missed all since Profar came to plate
  22. Why 3 or less? Save opportunity. How do hitters with bases loaded and 2 strikes on them take strike 3 on a fastball? That kills me. If its a breaking pitch and your fooled so be it. Literally fouls a FB over the center of zone pitch before, now watches one for strike 3?
  23. If Brewers are leading 3 or less for 9th Hader had better close it out. Its what Counsell has him paid to do
  24. Nice Williams beat the Pads and the ump. 2more Innings for a clean road sweep
