    Freddy didn't have his best year last season but a BRef 2.6WAR for under 8mil as a starter is nuts. I'm not ready to unload Quero or Willy C. How the Brewers do this season will determine the direction to go with those 3.

    It's too early to talk trade of Contreras. Quero needs to instill confidence in him post injury. You also don't want to remove his bat from the lineup after losing Adames.

    Hasn't played in the Majors. Would take a chance on bringing in to the organization. Haase is 32. Quero has the injury issues to protect against. Who's in line behind Quero?

    Waived Diego Cartaya a top 20 prospect at Catcher in 2023. Absolutely knew that ranking was inflated.

    I'd get it if he had 2 options, but only 1 for a recently drafted 7th rd pitcher already place at A ball? Barring some kind of turn around year, Anderson is a 1 and done, if he even makes it that long.

    I figured the tandem would go up together. Kinda like the trio did the year before. Chourio was on his way towards all time records for AA at his age.

    It's crazy that 2 seasons ago, Black was who Milw promoted to AAA and left Chourio behind in AA longer. And then here Black is, nearly sounding like there's no future for him because defense. 20pct k rate is on the upper tier these days. The speed and that should translate to an above average BA. It would be awful to have a repeat Hiura we selected 1st round at 5-10.

    Good on Burnes not only getting paid, but signing with a team near his home to go to when playing at home. Depending on his upcoming starts, he can probably stay home a couple days when team goes on the road. Return early home if next start back in AZ.

    Adames hit all those multi HRs because men were able to get on base ahead of him. Those lower solo HR are a result of the ability to hit hrs with men on base. For now, I like the get on 1st and steal 2b the team is loaded with. If they are more capable of that, they should be more capable of scoring from 2nd on a base hit. The rebuttal is Contreras and Hoskins vs hitting HRs, they GiDP. It gets worse with those two batting next to each other in the order.

    Altuve has 14 seasons to his name that began at age 21. You want to get excited on durbin over 90 milb games at AAA doing it for the 1st time at age 24?

    It's an okay offseason deal being SP and RP closer in trade. I'd think a great DW would fetch just as much or more at the deadline. Cortes I think this is a peak deal for him. His numbers at the deadline don't get a better deal. This Durbin I'm not fond of. Nobody should expect much if at all of on field play in the Majors. The Yanks added him to the 40man to protect him for rule 5. He has below 300 games in the minors. How often do high OB minor guys work out? No pop which is easy to project at 5'-6". To me that spells no fear from ML pitching resulting in significant drop in BBs. I expect he goes to AAA and waits for an opening through injury. I'd 100pct expect Turang at SS for 2025 season. If Black can find a better bat like 2023 vs 2024, I'd pencil him for 2b. A trio mix of he, Ortiz, and Monasterio can fill out 2b/3b

    Just noticed the White Sox are an incredible 82games below .500. Don't think they will reach the expected win outcome of AAA players. Isn't it like 44 or 46 wins?

    Maybe Myers and Ortiz take some of the shine away. I think around the time you posted this, some betting sites had both favored over Chourio.

    105EV for that Chourio out. Hard to be mad that Ohtani and Betts have had their 4RBI and no one else has 1. Playing vs 3 HoFs atop their order.

    Game logs. I use Baseball reference simple to do. JUN 30th was a 7IP 1ER win. He had 2 6IP starts in July that were 0 and 2ER without a decision

    You probably wrote this before hit tonight. EVs of 99.3-100.2 and 103.4 and I believe a lot of his contact has been that way, just in wrong spots turning to outs.

    Chourio's BWar gained .3 after yesterday's 2HR game. Think he'll be in the conversation for RoY more as the War gains toward 4÷ Keep in mind after checking. Corbin Carroll had a 25HR 50+ SB last season. At 14/15 Chourio is getting smoked in that department if season ended today. What Skenes is doing isn't just RoY worthy but Cy Young worthy. Chourio has a lot of catching up to do still without a Skenes falloff. The two haven't faced each other yet for some h2h comparison. Will we get that this season?

    I keep seeing numerous posts with the spelling of Chourio as Churio. Is there a reason behind this? He's nearing the top batting average on team sans Yelich. Would think spelling his name right is deserved by now vs when he was batting .210.

    Kings ransom? The trade deadline was one without a single top 100 prospect exchanging teams I heard. Ortiz was doing just fine until he was injured. DL Hall is a Tbd.

    I'd guess inning limit about 30 more to 165. Only 15 to 150 seems too cautious and low. Getting a Start in Playoffs adding 6 more considering all it'd mean for not only Pittsburgh but Skenes as an all time rookie has to be wanted by both sides.

    What happens to Montas if the Brewers dfa him? Are they on the hook for his option salary? Or just the buyout? Basically the FO chose sending 4 players off the 40man and took 2 back. Who's filling the 2 spots they gained? Was Ross 1? In a way I appreciate the non trading. Freddy has 9 QS this year. Montas has 7. Would rank #2. Just hanging on for the ride til end of season. Team was decimated with injuries. Lead the division and get Devin back. Maybe Yelich's back and uncertainty cemented not making a play at what was available to trade for. Let's play the season out and go from there.

    Maybe they see someone to move to bullpen and go 3innings, as I mentioned somewhere. 1st time through the order the numbers are good. Give him 9batters and follow with the quick hook beyond once someone gets on base.
