  1. My wife and I are going to Seattle for three nights in May for our 10 year anniversary. What is the weather like there in early May?
  2. This news made me as excited as signing Grandal. Huge to promote David and lock him up. Was starting to get pretty nervous a big market club would give him an offer he couldn't refuse. This should keep him here for probably another 4-5 years minimum.
  3. I could not be more excited about this deal. Was a great bit of news to read on twitter right before I was getting ready to hit the pillow. This is such a big offensive upgrade at the Catcher position, adding this to the three trades Stearns has made this offseason has be even more in awe of how good he is at his job.
  4. Interesting note on Taylor from Eric Longenhagen from Fangraphs in his pieces about the Broxton trade: "From Milwaukee’s perspective, Lorenzo Cain’s defense made Broxton’s best skill redundant in a crowded outfield picture that now projects to see more action from Eric Thames, Ben Gamel, and Tyrone Taylor, who is a sleeper breakout candidate due to a recent swing change that might have altered his power output." Maybe the Crew feel the same and made it even easier to trade Broxton when they have Gamel now and Taylor. Maybe Tyrone has a real legit shot to make the 25 man out of ST.
  5. Betts is a legend for sure. He was so good at his job. Edwards was fine, but yeah he started to make a lot of mistakes the past few seasons. I actually thought Grindle did a real nice job in the postseason.
  6. I am starting to think this way. Unless one of the other 2B options doesn't get any good multi year offers and is willing to take a higher value 1 year deal to prove it and try again next year on the market.
  7. From what I gather from his interviews and a chat I had with him at Miller Park in 2016 he wants one more crack and pitching in the big leagues pretty badly. Maybe this is his last ditch effort and if it doesn't work out with the Rangers he hangs them up and comes back to the Brewers in some sort of non playing role.
  8. Got my set in the mail yesterday, pretty cool glasses.
  9. This was a bummer, really wanted him on a 1 year deal to bridge the gap to Hiura. I hope they now turn to Dozier, if he can be had on a 1 year deal, but I feel if Kinsler got 2 years, Dozier can get more than 1. Murphy could be had on a 1 year deal I think, but he is a lefty bat. Think they should look for a righty for 2B. I would love Marwin Gonzalez, get him to play 2B this year and then super utility guy once Hiura is up. But he will be more costly. LeMahieu would be okay, but he probably gets more than a 1 year and is only a 2B.
  10. Like the bobble choices, couldn't really ask for a better lineup. I think I heard Cain All-Star will be the Season Seat Holder exclusive this season, so all 5 All-Stars from 2018 get a bobble in 2019.
  11. Would love Bauer or Kluber, if could get either without giving up Hiura, I'm in. If Hiura has to be included, I'm out.
  12. I am in the camp of sign Grandal to go with Grandal/Pina. Trade for Gomes and go Gomes/Pina or do nothing and go with Pina/Nottingham.
  13. My rep just emailed me today telling me he rolled over the rest of the Postseason credit today and showed me what I owed yet then on my 2019 tickets with the two dates the final payments will be taken.
  14. I think Peralta will start season in San Antonio. Burnes and Woodruff both in the bigs, but I have a feeling one will still be in the pen to start the season and one will be in the rotation. While I think both are worthy of starting, one of the two could be very valuable out of the pen in a right handed Hader role.
  15. Thought I heard he made some comments about it at the beginning of one of his recent Czabecast episodes. That is his premium pay podcast. Don't know what he said, but I heard he addressed it.
  16. My guess is a smart one who's ideas align with what David Stearns wants the organizations pitching philosophy to be.
  17. Last time they plucked a guy from the Cubs coaching ranks and gave him a promotion in position it was DJ, that turned out okay. Hopefully Haines can have a positive impact on our guys the way DJ did.
  18. Adding an arm would be fine, but I think they have so many options for the rotation I don't think it is a necessity. I mean a #1 ace type starter would be great. But they are not going to spend that type of money (like if Kershaw opts out) and I don't think they have the prospect capital to snag one in trade. Nor would I want to trade Hiura or Burnes in a package for one.
  19. My two biggest offseason targets: Marwin Gonzalez and/or David Freese.
  20. I'm not sure how long it will take me to completely get over that game 7 loss. But thinking of how great a season we had, does help ease the pain. Coming back from 5 games back on September 1st to force game 163 and beat the Cubs on their field to win the division was pretty amazing. And I will never forget it. Yelich's season will go down in history and will be the Brewers 5th MVP season which is pretty awesome. Five All-Stars! I could go on and on, while it ended short of the goal, it was such a fun journey. Truly the beginning of something special, not the end.
  21. All of game 6 was incredible. It was rocking all night. Game 7 was so loud after Yelich hit that HR, it was insane. Sadly, it never got quite that loud again.
  22. I am going to give the Brewers everything I have tonight at Miller Park. I think they will do the same. It's our time. Got to go out there and take it.
  23. I felt more nervous/anxious/stressed during the Rockies series. Being at game 1 and 2 and watching game 3 with friends. I decided while I was sitting at game 1 of NLCS inside Miller Park, you know what, this is fun! I shouldn't feel so stressed and nervous. My team is playing in the NLCS. As a Brewers fan for so many years we aren't watching our Crew right now. I am not gonna say I won't still get a little stressed and nervous, but now I am just trying to enjoy this ride and have fun with it. Never know when the next time will be. Might as well get the most enjoyment possible out of it now this season while it's here in front of us.
  24. I feel very confident they win at least one in LA sending the series back to Miller Park for game 6.
