  1. He has struck out a lot. But look at the rest of his stats. Pretty darn good.
  2. He did the Yankees vs White Sox game for TBS today. And suddenly Wolf can find the strike zone. Oof.
  3. Ron: "I need anyone breathing with a pulse and a brain today." Jerry: "Ron do you need anything?" Ron: "No Jerry, go take the rest of the day off." Classic.
  4. If Steve leaves after season 7 they might as well just hang up the series. 7 seasons is a very good run. The last two, while good are not really on par with how great the first 4 were.
  5. Before this series, I decided to take a 3 game mental break from the team. I'm kind of superstitious and I figure maybe if I don't watch or listen then will win, and if they don't at least I don't have to sit through the losses. Well not only have these games been losses, but it seems they were brutal. No runs in two games. Hopefully Yo can pitch a gem tonight and the offense finds it self. I will be back watching the team Sunday. Hopefully going for a two game winning streak.
  6. He seems to be very dominate as a relief pitcher. Might as well leave him there. I would think there is a good chance he is the closer in 2011 and who knows, maybe even at some point this season. Not many lefty closers, but man Billy Wagner sure was good for a long time. If Braddock can be like him I would be pretty happy.
  7. Guess Keith Law was right. He ripped the Brewers for giving Hoffman an $8 mill deal. Said Hoffman was declining, and it sure looks as if he is/has.
  8. If you told me at the stat of the season that Hoffman would cost us 4 games in the first month I would have called you crazy.
  9. Yeah he has really cooled off. Im sure he will pick it up. But right now he is frustrating to watch, striking out a lot.
  10. Tulow had an awesome year, but I wouldn't put it on par with Braun and Pujols.
  11. That is my question. If Hoffman blows another 3 or 4 saves in a short period of time, do they call Braddock up? Or is ti too soon for that?
  12. Agreed. Call it the "Pujols Effect". Every year there's supposed to be a rookie that completely dominates. It's only really happened once since Pujols and that was Braun. Any others? Longoria.Longoria was very good his rookie year, but I don't think he was quite on the same level as Pujols and Braun. But he was close. Fred Lynn and Ichiro probably had the other best rookie years that I can think of.
  13. I agree Rluz, I would also like to see Gomez bat 8th. But I still want him to play at least vs LHP. I think if Macha will bat Gomez 2nd, why not give Escobar a shot in that spot?
  14. Yo pitched pretty good. But once again over 100 pitches and only through 6. Getting through 6 is good, but I would like to see him go 7+ at some point.
  15. Thanks, I sure hope it isn't serious. He has been playing real good so far this season.
  16. I feel "Yakety Sax" should be playing at all times while watching Gregg Zaun play baseball.
  17. Sorry I may have missed it in another thread. How serious was his injury and what was it?
  18. Nothing frustrates me more, nothing. Walking the pitcher is unforgivable. It just should not happen.
  19. That play proved that just because the ball beats the runner, it does not always make the runner out. And I think to many umps at all levels of the game automatically think that when ball beats runner it equals an out.
  20. Doumit is an idiot. You learn to block the plate in little league.
  21. The name Jason Kendall gave the Pirates pitching coach last season. Real name Joe Kerrigan.
