Amen to that. I mean, I don't like the cold, but I would take it any day over snow. I could care less if it stayed this cold the rest of winter as long as we didn't get any more big snowfalls.

Last year me and my friends were able to chit chat a bit with Doug Melvin and Willie Randolph when they were just walking around. It was pretty cool.

If McGehee plays like he did last season, Hart reverts back to 2007/1st half 2008 Hart and Parra figures it out with the help of Peterson. I really like our chances.

BHF, did I ever say I didn't like you? No, I didn't. I have never met you and I really don't have a problem with you. All I did was ask you a question, why do you get all offensive?

Sheets was off the charts in that game vs the Padres in September 2008. An awesome performance. I think I remember that as much as I do his 18 K game.

BHF, are/were you going to get Fielder at the event? How many autographs do you have of him?
  7. BrewCrewForever
Yeah, I always liked Ben. Sure I got frustrated with the injuries, but they happened. When he pitched he was as good as anyone. Lot of great memories of him. I too am glad he went to a team I kind of like. Very relieved he didn't go the the Cubs or Cards. That would have been a nightmare.

BHF, I asked but I never did it. Don't care enough to buy a eraser thing. Boy, you really called me out there.

I gotta get Vampire Weekend "Contra" and Spoon "Transference" soon. Just got Them Crooked Vultures, love it. If you have not heard of them they are Josh Homme of QOTSA, Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones. I can't stop listening to the album.

Glad I got Braun last year at On Deck. I don't mind the personalized thing at all, but not to let people get a ball or 8x10 signed, that is kind of lame.

Escobar and Gamel together for just $10 total. Yeah, I'm doing that.

I really hope Rickie stays healthy this season, if he does I think he can pick up where he left off and he will be playing for cheap.

Love the promotions, the retro's uni's and the bobbles. Also love that 40th anniversary logo, very cool.

Love the idea for these bobbleheads. Glad CC is finally getting a Brewers bobblehead, he deserves it. I just hope that Gallardo is a lock for one of the other two bobble dates.

Great deal, good solid starter for cheap and only 1 year (plus option). I to think adding Wolf/Davis automatically makes us better. If Bush is healthy and Parra improves I really like our rotation. Last season we won 80 games with the worst starting staff in all of MLB. If we are just average we should contend for a playoff spot. I'm not saying pencil us in for the division or wild card, but we should contend. This also gives us depth, with Suppan, Narveson, Capuano, Butler and Jones on the outside looking in in case of an injury. That sounds better then Burns, McClung and Villanueva.

I hope so that would be awesome, Stern warned Conan back in 2006 that this might happen. He never trusted Leno.
  17. BrewCrewForever
That bit by Seth Meyers was awesome. Loved it.
  18. BrewCrewForever
Looking forward to see what Conan has in store for what is supposed to be his last week as host of "Tonight Show". Should be must see TV.
  19. BrewCrewForever
    PM sent on Aaron.
  20. BrewCrewForever
Yeah I don't want picks for Prince, I want players. Guys that are ready or very close to being ready.
  21. BrewCrewForever
Would have loved to pull off a trade for this guy. There goes that idea. Good deal for him and the Marlins though.
  22. BrewCrewForever
Mulder seems to be a lock, just a matter of when. Bedard I would love at a low risk contract, but I doubt it happens. If he would be healthy he could instantly make me more excited about our rotation.

Basically, draft well, lock up core players, trade or let others walk when they become expensive and we have ready replacements. Repeat as necessary. That is perfect, exactly what small and medium market clubs like the Brewers have to do to be able to contend. And we have done a good job of that and must continue. The Fielder decision will be huge, he would be fantastic to keep but at the same time will be very costly and we could get some nice cheaper players in return for him. I'm very interested to see how it will eventually play out. I can see both sides.

I'm having a tough time deciding who to go for, Yount or Hoffman. Very tough.
  25. BrewCrewForever
I would love to bring Byrnes in as a 5th OF to go with Gerut. That would be great.
