  1. That would also be my best case scenario. I am not a big fan of Hart, McGehee or Edmonds batting behind Prince. I think Rickie would be best in the 5 hole. But it would be risky to have both Gomez and Escobar at the top at this point.
  2. Need some keeper advise. I can keep two of the following position players going forward, who do I keep? Matt Wieters Joey Votto Matt Kemp Shin Soo-Choo Jason Heyward David Wright And one of the following pitchers: Ubaldo Jimenez Dan Haren Do I keep Wieters and Heyward? I would think Wieters for sure and then probably either Heyward or Kemp? Please help!
  3. Yeah. We hit just fine, just couldn't get the big one with guys on base. Had several line shots caught, too.Yup, had a couple very hard hit balls that were outs that could have scored runs.
  4. Just too many men left on base. Yo wasn't at his best, but was still pretty good. Just got to convert those chances. When Weeks and Gomez both get on with no outs and Ryan and Prince coming up I would expect at least one run, just didn't happen today.
  5. Wireless internet and my Mac Book. A cell phone and HD is pretty nice to.
  6. I'm with you on this. That decision still bugs me to this day and probably will for a long time. If Yo starts we have a better chance to win and extend the series to a 5th game with CC on the mound in that deciding game. We may very well have won those two games and went on to the the NLCS. But instead we start Soup he gets shelled and then we pitch Gallardo anyway in relief and he was money, but by that time the damage was done by Philly.
  7. I think I would have been okay with this deal. No real need for Shoppach, but I would love to have Garza. He's already been a good pitcher and I don't think he has reached his potential yet.
  8. Yeah, a lot of great episodes. But "Ron & Tammy" is the best this series has had thus far.
  9. Ryan is not from Wisconsin, but I see him as our Joe Mauer. A guy we drafted, came up and was a stud right away. And he signed a deal right away to stay here. I hope that eventually the Brewers sign him to another deal that will make him a lifetime Brewer.
  10. "I already ate it, I could smell the bacon in your purse before I parked my car." Classic.
  11. Had my draft on Sunday night, here is my team. Thoughts? Starting Lineup: 1B: Joey Votto, 2B: Rickie Weeks, 3B: David Wright, SS: Alexi Ramirez, OF: Matt Kemp, Shin Soo-Choo, Michael Bourn, Utility: Billy Butler Bench: Ryan Ludwick, Jorge Cantu, Jason Heyward, Clint Barmes, Chris Iannetta Starting Pitching: Dan Haren, Ubaldo Jimenez, Matt Garza, Scott Kazmir, Johnny Cueto Relief Pitchers: David Aardsma, Bobby Jenks, Chad Qualls
  12. Glad the Twins got this done. Nice to see the homegrown kid stay with his team long term.
  13. Per Kelly Thesier of MLB.com. Seen it re-tweeted by Trenni.
  14. Yeah, the pants rip and fart was good. It was a laugh out loud moment for sure. I just love that he didn't actually get mugged, he fell into a creek while trying to save his breakfast burrito. Vintage Jerry.
  15. I guess I am okay keeping Suppan as long as it is not at the cost of Parra, Bush or Narveson.
  16. Surprised no one has commented yet on this weeks episode. I loved it, the more Jerry the better!
  17. I would be fine with this, I just don't think they will carry Suppan in the pen. That is why I say cut the fat! See ya later Soup!
  18. Basically Suppan goes out there with nothing. He has nothing, every once in awhile he can get by with smoke and mirrors and maybe get through 5 inning without getting shelled. He stinks. I just beg Doug Melvin to cut his losses and eat that $12 mill. It is just 1 year and it is off the books. I just can't take another year of watching Soup go out there and stink up the joint and then make excuses after the game.
  19. No walks, 5 K's for Parra, but 6 hits and 5 ER in 5 IP. Ouch. Not a good performance, but silver lining is no walks I guess.
  20. Another nice outing from Dave. And Lo Cain with another solid day at the plate. If he stays injury free this season he should do well at AAA. Could be in the mix next season for a big league job.
  21. If we get like 4-6" around Milwaukee that wouldn't be too bad. But if we get 10"+ I will not be pleased.
  22. I really hope they just eat that $12 mill. Let Suppan walk. Keep Parra and Bush in the rotation and have Narveson as the long man in the pen who would join the rotation if their is an injury or Parra or Bush struggle. Of course I think they most likely keep Suppan and let Bush or Narveson go which seems ridiculous.
  23. Somewhere Ned Yost checked the box score for this game and said: "Soup pitched great."
