  1. For all the times the IGT gets salty or negative, I have to say having y'all here to share this with, good and bad, makes the season more fun. I hereby request we glue the game 163 thread to the top of the board this offseason, whether it starts tonight or in two weeks.
  2. Honestly, if this is the end of the line, this was more fun than 2011 for me. Maybe because it feels like the beginning more than the end. Plus, champagne celebrations in Chicago and St. louis is like basically a pennant for me. Anyway, it's close. And, hey, still time!
  3. This! I hope the crowd stays and cheers on the Brewers until an hour after the game. These guys deserve it, whatever happens!
  4. You just feel like this is a huge inning. Need to get out clean. One run isn't the end of the world, but after that it will come close to sucking the life out of a lot of people.
  5. 20 pitches for Hader? I mean, he threw 45 in game 1, right? 46? He has a chamce to do 4 if he is efficient. Offense needs to get him a lead.
  6. I think CC is committed to using Hader first in any kind of close game. My guess is he starts either the 3rd or 4th and tries to get at least 9 outs.
  7. I feel like the only one without a good feeling. So hope I'm wrong. Going to be positive and cheer them on no matter what! Here's to quick top halves and loooooong bottom ones. Go Crew!
  8. Well, friends, here we are. I am churning about this game, but whatever happens, we'll always have St. Louis. And Chicago. And Denver. And free burgers. Enjoy the ride. Let's add another celebratory city to the list.
  9. Man, I hope you're right. Get to Buehler early and make the Dodgers rely on their pen. Though I think I would still be stressed even 8-3. I was in Game 1.
  10. I woild think the Dodgers will want Buehler, Kershaw, Jansen in their ideal world. Though Baez will be a factor too.
  11. About a billion and I hate them all. Especially Grunty pants The guys on the Effectively Wild podcast call Rich Hill Dick Mountain, which I (sophomorically) find hilarious.
  12. I would empty the tank tonight, even it means Hader throws 2+. At least if it is a 3-run lead. Can't win Game 7 if you don't play it. Some runs would help.
  13. Here is what I know: this team is one of the greats no matter what. That said, I am not ready to begin celebrating their accomplishments yet. I would like to think about what they haven't yet done for another two weeks. So, I hope they keep playing baseball. There will be a time to remember this team fondly. I hope it doesn't come tonight.
  14. This team is good. It's going to be good for a while I don't see them rolling over. Maybe they lose, but find a way Friday, and the pressure is back on the Dodgers!
  15. Well, enjoy the off day. The Crew is still alive. We won the division in this position. Might as well win the pennant the same way.
  16. Well, we are in a position here to bullpen the crap out of game 6 and throw Chacin in game 7. It won't matter if the offense doesn't show up, but this always felt to me like a series we'd have to win in 7. 6 runs in 3 games in LA doesn't cut it. Probably lucky to win the 1. I will be watching on Friday, if for no other reason than I want to be there when this blast of a season ends.
