Dillard mentioned on the broadcast how many pitches Turang has been seeing lately...I think that's a good observation. He's had much better ABs. He really doesn't have to do much with the bat to be a valuable player. I'm thinking it's a good thing Iglesias had to come in and save it for the Braves today. -

Yup. My bad. That sweep in Cincy felt so big because of how tough this upcoming stretch is.

I'm just not sure what the hold-up on Winker is. They must REALLY like him as some kind of talismanic presence or something, or else they have very little faith in the AAA guys. Could be both. It's tough to even complain much about Jesse given the lineup I see every day. This team is about 3 bats away from a halfway decent Major-League offense. This is a tough stretch. Bullpen should be well-rested for the next two. Don't get swept, try to win a series in ATL.

No business winning that one. Weaver got hit with a line drive in Cincy. I didn't see what happened, but he's out of the game in the third inning. It's 4-4. It is indeed nuts to be scoreboard-watching in July, but that Reds bullpen has really been worked hard since the break, and they already threw their best BP arms in losing the resumption of the suspended game earlier today.

Wow is right. Beat Diaz, made the Reds pen cover a lot of innings, they got a big 4-game series coming up. Talk about putting the pressure on them. This is hilarious.

Given the lack of stress in the 8th and 9th innings the last two days, I think I would endorse either Devin or Payamps for the 9th, assuming it's only a 1-run game.

The Reds still have 10 in a row after today, so making Diaz get 5 outs matters at the margins. Of course, beating him would be way better.
