  1. They take five minutes pumping up Sogard as a leadoff hitter because he sees a lot of pitches and draws a lot of walks. Then he proceeds to strike out on 3 pitches.
  2. I didn’t know Garcia appeared in a movie.
  3. It’s only considered a no hitter when one pitcher goes the whole game and gets a win. So, there will be no official no hitter tonight.
  4. To be fair, what was probably the Brewers best game of the season (Game 2 against the Cubs) was their only other national telecast this year. This year they have generally played like garbage on regional TV and the radio. Tonight’s game was close longer than the 4 losses to the Reds and Twins.
  5. Schedule for tonight: 6:15- Watch Brewers game. 6:45- Pick out a movie to watch as Brewers fall behind by 4 plus runs in first two innings 8:00- Check score to see if Brewers have made a game of it 8:01- Return to movie.
  6. This season in 36 ABs Domingo Santana is slugging .278 with an OPS of .611. He would fit right in with this year’s Brewers.
  7. Wait until they’re done with 4 against the Cubs and 3 more against the Twins. 9-14 maybe?
  8. We’ll have to wait for another day to see what it’s like to not get into an early hole.
  9. Are sunglasses going to help that much when the sun is that low and right in your face?
  10. No more cross country road trips means fewer day games. Although fewer off days should mean that the players should get more getaway day games even if they aren't traveling far. I guess ratings are more important. I think too that the Brewers have always had more weekday afternoon games than a lot of other teams because they have some success drawing seniors and kids groups to those games. With no gate, they are putting games into prime time for TV.
  11. First goal for tonight. Try to get through 3 innings without giving up 4 or more runs.
  12. It’s scary how much Urias looks like Arcia at the plate. Don’t need two of them in the lineup. ETA- as I posted that they both foul out to the catcher.
  13. Brewers should be looking to trade Hader while he has value. He is completely wasted on a team that takes a lead into the late innings about once a week.
  14. Brewers are always behind by no later than the third inning and the Bucks are going through the motions. I expect the MLS tournament final to be more entertaining than either.
  15. Playing from behind again. This could be an 0-7 week against these hard hitting opponents unless something turns around.
  16. This is the start of a tough week for the Crew. 7 games against two high scoring teams. Hopefully, yesterday was the start of Yelich and Hiura hitting the way they have to hit for the Brewers to be competitive. Without them the Brewers will have a hard time winning any against these two teams.
  17. I think the Reds pen is the cure for everyone's offense. Even if it’s just a one day thing it was the prescription the Brewers needed to salvage one game.
  18. The Brewers really need a 2 run homer. This lineup is going to have a really hard time stringing hits together, and isn’t good at making contact and advancing runners.
  19. Crap. That one’s going to be overturned and the Reds are threatening to,put the game, out of reach.
  20. Based on 30 at bats??? He’s a career .270 hitter with good power and above average defense. He’s the best option we have in CF with Cain opting out. He’s played really well defensively this year. But yea, we should prolly freak out over the 30 AB. Garcia is 29 and has had one good season, a couple of decent seasons, and a few pretty bad ones. At his best he’s nothing special, and he has looked pretty ordinary so far.
