  1. Watching on MLB.com game cast while trying to get some work done. It specifies the type of pitch thrown each pitch. How accurate is that? For instance it is differentiating between 2 seam and 4 seam fastballs. Is it basically if the break falls between a certain angle and degrees it registers as a specific pitch?
  2. Thankfully we caught Miami with an ice cold Stanton.
  3. The old double CF defense. Probably would have been more effective vs the Reds.
  4. Either put that in blue or I'm going to find a pumping brake pedal meme.
  5. Looking at the Cubs box score today and other than Jay, they don't have anyone in their lineup over .265
  6. 4 run lead isn't exactly a tight spot, although he created one for himself.
  7. Why run on contact with the infield in? Especially with an older, slower, injury prone Braun.
  8. With his defense and at his age, I'd be happy with .260. What he's doing at the plate right now is a huge bonus.
  9. They aren't getting impact pitching without giving up something. They said they would not jeopardize future for this year, and I hope they stick to that plan. The success has been a great surprise, but this isn't a World Series team. Enjoy the ride, but the main goal has to be the future still.
  10. I guarantee the ump had already called it with his voice......some just take awhile to ring them up It looks odd because Vogt had to stop and turn around to make sure, so he must not have heard anything.
  11. Broxton was on a dead sprint all the way through it. He did everything but lay out for it.
  12. What a weird strike 3 to end it. Vogt 3 steps toward the mound, then stops and turns, then ump calls it.
  13. Out by a foot or so. Really good throw from Arcia, the throw brought the glove right to the runner. If Vogt has to "tag" him he's safe. The throw essentially was the tag.
  14. Regularly issuing lead off walks is becoming a late inning issue...
  15. First career AB for Arcia against Miami? Thought he's been up longer than that....
  16. I agree 100%. What is the logic of letting Garza hit and then replace him? Did he tweak something? Especially with Braun and Thames available you need to at least take the chance. The way it sounded Thames isn't available. That would make for the short bench and the reason why you can't burn a PH that early.
  17. Are the field dimensions in Cincy drastically small? Amount of home runs this series is crazy.
  18. Bailey had only pitched in 1 game coming into tonight. Saying "this year" isn't very large sample.
  19. Cubs give up 7 SB and Montero publicly rips pitchers for being slow to the plate. Gotta love trouble in paradise with the scrubs.
  20. I haven't watched the end of the game...but that seems silly if Aguilar was available. Even when both of our catchers were red hot to start the year CC would never PH the backup catcher until he was the last man off the bench.
