  1. Bickford! Gets out of the jam. Cubs make the case for why sacrifice bunting might not be a good idea. Sac bunt, strike out, walk, strikeout - game over.
  2. Phil Bickford on for the Mets, hoping to close out the Cubs. Inherited two runners with no one out in the 9th.
  3. Who do we send down to make room? Is it bad that Santana and Canha might be some of our weaker bats? I realize it has only been a week. I suppose Perkins can be sent down.
  4. Ben Lively taking one for the team in Chicago. The Cincinnati starter has allowed 13 ER on 13 H in 4 IP.
  5. 5-0 Cubs, still nobody out. Could be a long night for Cincinnati.
  6. Meanwhile at Wrigley, Cubs have two runs on three hits and a walk and still nobody out, bottom of 1st.
  7. Predictions on where Santana slots into the lineup? Cleanup?
  8. Cubs have Cardinals, Reds, Braves and Mets the next four series. That should be a good test for Chicago.
  9. iPhone 13 iOS 15.6.1 Safari Screenshot below of how my view is now.. This is very different from previous views. I assume I am receiving desktop view now?
  10. All of a sudden, the forum and site is displaying in desktop view rather than mobile phone view. Is there a setting I’m not seeing to switch back to mobile view?
  11. It is fun seeing Brent Suter listed among the more desirable players to be traded this week. 🙂
  12. MA is smart enough to understand ‘sunk costs.’ We paid Lorenzo Cain money to go away. I can understand the idea that Winker is an established professional hitter who may bounce back. It actually doesn’t matter how bad Winker has been for the past three months. We need Winker or anyone to simply be good for the next three months. That said, I’m willing to believe Milwaukee is keeping Keston off the 40-man roster until after the trade deadline.
  13. Our bullpen might get crowded when Ashby and Wilson return.
  14. Thank you! That was me. Where did you find that information?
  15. I cannot imagine the Brewers acquiring a truly game-changing bat via trade because I presume it would cost a lot of prospects. I like CJ Cron but is he a game changer?
  16. Obligatory mention of Brewers owning the tiebreaker.
  17. I wonder what the catch probability was on the Frelick play.
  18. I suppose Winker ‘is due’ for a breakout. I genuinely believe Winker does not make it out of July on the roster. Squinting hard, he recently had some timely walks and singles but I can’t imagine keeping him on our playoff roster.
  19. I agree that one game from Frelick is a small sample. Is there a compelling reason to play Tyrone Taylor over any of the other outfielders on the roster?
  20. Lineup prediction: Yelich 7 Contreras DH Adames 6 Miller 3 Caratini 2 Monasterio 5 Frelick 9 Turang 4 Wiemer 8 Maybe try Jones at 2B today?
  21. Teheran with 9.37 ERA over past 30 days, three starts. He is not walking many batters but allowing many hits, lately.
  22. Frelick batting sixth, right field. Wiemer gets the day off.
