Durbin hitting pretty well in Nashville, performing near his career minor league averages. Monasterio striking out 43% of the time in Nashville and hitting poorly.
It is ok for a fan to dream of something better than what Capra/Dunn have shown at the major league level over their combined 161 career AB.
There are not many data points of optimism for Dunn or Capra but today is likely another opportunity for Dunn.
Milwaukee faced Brady Singer on 5/8/24 as a member of the Royals in Kanas City.
Singer went 5.1 IP allowing 5 H, 2 BB, 1 ER with 4 K.
Singer pitched 7 IP of 1 H ball in his first start at Texas on March 31.
I thought Elvin has pitched better than his stats indicate. Not too many walks. Have to imagine Thomas and/or Anderson see game action today?
Carlos Rodriguez is on six days rest today. All things being equal, we probably are better off getting three innings from Carlos Rodriguez today.
You make a lot of good points, though. @Oxy
Early team batting splits:
RHP: .699 OPS (104 PA)
LHP: .572 OPS (162 PA)
Fun facts: Our LHB have higher OPS against LHP than our RHB. Our LHB have 125 OPS+ against RHP (54 PA)
I appreciate it is early and some players will improve toward career averages.

There are no small samples, only small minds unable to project outcomes with limited data 🙂
Three from Alexander, three from Rodriguez then back to Hudson, Koenig and Megill?
Or, plan B: Thomas and Anderson soak up innings.
Not sure who makes room for Rodriguez? I don’t see how we make it through today without a fresh Rodriguez.
Adames and Contreras went deep off Martinez on 8/30/34 in Cincinnati.
Martinez went 5.1 IP and allowed 7 H, 1 BB, 4 ER and 3 K.
Bad news: on 8/10/24, Martinez threw 7 IP of 1 H ball in Milwaukee.
Edit: Tyler Alexander gets the start for Milwaukee
This has only happened five other times in MLB history. No team has ever lost four consecutive games 1-0.
MLB record is four consecutive games being shutout.

Fair to assume Megill, Uribe and Koenig are unavailable tonight? Each pitched the last two games.
Could we get four innings combined from Hudson Peguero and Payamps? If Cortes goes 5 IP.
Save Tyler Alexander to help soak up innings tomorrow?
The idea of simply posting a link to a website with no explanation is generally worthless. However, the forum does deserve a thread to discuss injury updates. I like having this thread rather than 13 separate threads to discuss all of our injured players.
