  1. Is it just me or do a lot of the articles about the Red Sox, and sometimes the Yankees, make it seem that if either team actually wanted that player they could get him no problem?
  2. I vote for moving Bill Hall to the bullpen to help lock it down.
  3. I agree with the moderation of circles.
  4. To quote, I believe the Power 50 from a few times back in regard to Hurricane: Dude can hit.
  5. Wow..is there a chance that Matt Wise doesn't make the team? Well....I dunno, he's not pitching well...but quite a few of our bullpen guys aren't...excluding what I've seen of Turnbow and Cordero.
  6. EDIT: Sorry, comp got weird, accidentally double posted.
  7. Yes, he just said his name that way... and BA just said CV.s that way
  8. God this play by play dude is bad... as previously stated lol...
  9. Braun has more grand slams than the brewers did all last year!
  10. When I heard Steve Phillips say that I thought "Yea I'd do that, immediately, but Steve, this is why you aren't a GM anymore."
  11. if He's Stellar at AAA and there are a few injuries, there's a chance. The question is do you really want to see Hart or Hall, or Jenkins or Hart or some combination thereof go down to see Drew be called up? I don't. Personally, I'm hoping that after May we realize that the platoons are working and out outfield is stellar. Edit: Wow I used 'stellar' two times in one post...bringing my usage of stellar up to 2 on the year.....I hope I never type that word again..
  12. lol... I'll trade him for a raisin bag, a new hat for everyone on the team, and a hair cut for Turnbow.
  13. Will we HAVE Sheets in 2010?
  14. Always thought he seemed like he didn't like getting hit and wouldn't have made a good NFL receiver. At least we know that ND education worked out an he was smart enough to take the money rather than get himself killed playing football. He gets paid, he'll get to play a sport ((barring injury)) and he'll be more likely to be able to walk at age 40!
  15. Braun and Yo. Maddux wanted to bring up Yo last season, according to a JS article, but they didn't let him. I get a strange feeling he'll be our fifth and CV will be the long man in the Pen.
  16. www.jsonline.com/story/in...?id=545316 Cool things about Yo in this article as well, from the Journal, was in the Dec 24th paper.
  17. God how do they win this one? I'm watching hte PAcker game ((dad wants to over Brewers)) and I frogot :/
  18. but wait, they want to fortify their bullpen? Not...destroy it?
  19. Well....Imma throw something out there that's unlikely at best. But the thought of it amuses me. Hardy/Miller/Jenkins ((two of the three)) and a prospect, maybe two mid level ones or one upper level one for Manny Ramiriez. Yes, I said unlikely, I know Manny has said he'd block a trade to the NL...but maybe we could bribe him with free sausage?
  20. Am I the only one that thinks this has Hideki Arabu written all over it?
  21. You took mine!
  22. I'm just glad Parra is getting people out and staying healthy. CAn it get any better than that?
  23. I always thoguht it was more the less developed ((wrong word)) latin countries that had problems with people lieing about age. I mean, if he played on the Cuban team, the way things are traditionally run under a communist..wouldn't htey be pretty sure if his age? Records like that are usually in order.
  24. Even then, if he's able to sign for 5 years -70 mil I think he'd do that over 3 years at almsot anythign comparable ((yearly wise)) or more, simply because it's guaranteed for 5 years and he doesn't have to worry if ater 3 he's useless.
