    I have only heard a couple of radio interviews with Witrado, but every single time Braun's name has come up he has ripped him, some subtle, some not so subtle. I have heard him say some things along the line of everytime Braun gets into a slump he brings up an injury, or bashing Braun for making the comment about the Brewers needing pitching help earlier in the year. I don't want to sound like I'm defending Braun and hate Witrado, but I do find it annoying that Witrado always has a negative attitude about him and never really has any positive remarks to give regarding Braun.

    For anyone who wants to hear Uecker's call of Braun's homerun I still had the link to a Postseason's Greetings card from the Brewers website last winter. I still get the chills listening to his call with the crowd erupting in the background...awesome.

    Have the best record possible while being no better than the fifteenth worst team. I really want the Brewers to be in the lower half record-wise so there might be an outside shot that Melvin goes after a type A if there is one available worth the money.

    jason21nl, I had the same thing happen to me about 2 years ago. It wasn't Zynga, but it was from some online gaming site, and I've never played any kind of games online in my life. Somehow these people are able to hack peoples paypal accounts. I would also recommend changing your username / password on anyother accounts you have if they are the same as your paypal account. One day after my paypal account was hacked, my email was hacked cause I was using the same username / password. It was a huge pain.

    Just got my Madden 10 in the mail yesterday from the SI deal. Haven't had the time to play it yet, but can't wait.

    I'm still waiting for Madden 10 from the SI deal as well. I ordered about 1 month ago. I contacted them a couple weeks back and they said that the games were on backorder and that they would start sending them out in the order in which the subcriptions were received. Who know's what that means for a timeframe...

    Wow, is someone on this forum related to JJ or something? I just don't get how people can feel sorry for JJ. He didn't perform near the level that he is capable of and there was an elite prospect ready to take the step up. It's not like JJ will never get paid his millions. He's already made millions and will continue to in the future, whether it is with the Brewers or another team.

    If this does get an extra year of service for JJ then I don't see how this hurts his value. Teams still can see what numbers he has produced over the last three years and if they think he can bounce back they will be getting 2 years of JJ not one.

    I agree Hall's versatility is a plus, but Hall being in the lineup more is not a good thing.

    Wow, I would love to have gotten Felix Hernandez in a trade, and still would if we could work something out in the offseason. He would be a huge upgrade.

    And in Davis' last 3 games he has 12.1 IP, 18 hits, 13 ER.

    100% agree with the last three posts. I would be very upset if Melvin was fired.

    Bought raffle tickets at a fundraiser for ALS. I ended up winning 4 free tickets to the Labor Day Brewers game, 13 rows behind the Brewers dugout. Along with Metavante passes and a preferred parking pass...sweet!

    I found this SI article from when Prince signed the 2-year deal in the offseason that talks about being under Brewers control through 2011.

    With the numbers that Hoffman is putting up it would be hard to believe that no team would be willing to sign him in the offseason and he would have to wait until the deadline. And I don't get the impression that Hoffman is ready to hang 'em up either. But, you are right about not being guaranteed the picks, but I would still expect either a 1st or 2nd along with a comp. Even if it ended up being a 2nd rather than a 1st I'm not sure we would get a higher return in a trade, but who knows maybe someone would be willing to give up a lot.

    If Hoffman is going to be a type-A free agent then I don't think it makes sense to deal him. I really don't think we'd get more back in a trade than what we would get in draft pick compensation.

    From what I understood the Brewers signed Prince to a 2-year deal, buying out his first two years of arbitration. I thought he would have one more year with the Brewers after that. EDIT: According to this SI article from the offseason Prince will be arby eligible again for the 2011 season and can become a free agent after that season.

    I believe Fielder is under the Brewers control for 2 years following this season. (edit: code cleanup --1992)

    They have reported on the 1250 WSSP update that Ryan Braun has committed to be in the HR derby. I haven't seen this anywhere else, so I'm not sure if it's true or not. Anyone else heard anything about it? EDIT: Nevermind, they just changed their update to say Prince Fielder, rather than Ryan Braun. I kind of figured it was just a mistake.
