  1. Will Cobb become an UFA this spring?
  2. I fear Lang's best days are behind him.
  3. Andy Herman at CheeseheadTV did some excellent film review of Barr. Andy is a must-follow on Twitter (@sconniesports). Is it possible that a team will target Barr as an Edge? Sure, and he will likely be more affordable than the top-tier guys. But as Andy pointed out, his career sack numbers leave something to be desired: In five years, he has 13.5 career sacks which came on 14 plays: * 10 of those sacks he was unblocked or untouched * 2 sacks came by beating a RB one-on-one * 1 sack came when Philip Rivers held the ball to long and walked right back into Barr, who was blocked * 1 sack came after the guard stumbled out of his stance so Barr had a straight shot at the QB That's... not impressive. Basically, he has NEVER beaten an offensive lineman straight-up for a sack. I don't know how often he was asked to blitz as an OLB in a 4-3, however. Andy's full breakdown is here: https://cheeseheadtv.com/blog/film-review-prospective-free-agent-anthony-barr-507 Good edge guys rarely hit the market. Most teams hang onto their good ones so if the Vikes are willing to let him walk Gute should too.
  4. Would you want him at #30 tho? If he behaved like that and performed lackluster at an important event like the combine I don't know if I'd bother with him. There are other edge guys in this draft class without that baggage.
  5. Why would the league create such a schedule? The worst part about this one was the Spurs were well rested. They haven't played since last Wednesday.
  6. Are any of you watching the Bucks/Hornets game right now on Fox Sports Wisconsin? We cannot tonight because it is buffering like crazy on our Sling Box.
  7. Yes, this group is really poor at free throws. How hard it is to fix this? I never really played the game so I don't know but it almost looks like their form is bad and one would think that could be improved upon during practice.
  8. Well, if Middleton just has a bad night, not a absolutely horrible night, they win easily. You can always look at other plays, but I WOULD put the losses the last two games on Middleton. Sorry but I can't agree with that. Mirotic was horrible last night too. And Giannis had 6 turnovers and he fouled out. The Bucks should easily be able to overcome a horrible shooting night by one guy but no one else picked up the slack. At the end of the day, they gave up 40+ points to Utah in the 4th and 38 points to the friggin Suns in the 4th. That doesn't have much to do with bad shooting on the other end. Dear me, I'm glad I didn't see this one last night!
  9. Regarding the “tarp over the sign” (pictured below), I’ve assumed that was a placeholder for where they were going to eventually place the American Family Fields of Phoenix logo. It is interesting in looking at all of the other pictures across the facility there are very few uses of any of the Brewers logos anywhere to be seen. I can’t remember seeing a team specific facility unveiled with less use of the team’s logo. Throughout all of the photos of the locker room, weight room, sports medicine areas, training facilities, hallways, team store, etc., there are almost no Brewers logos. I see one in the weight room and one on the wall before they step foot on the field. I wish the Crew had spring training here in FL so I could see them a couple of times.
  10. Plus the fact that the Jazz were rested and we played the night before against the Lakers. Why would the league have a team play back to back games in the middle of a long road trip out west? I hope having tonight off we won't run out of gas against the Suns Monday night.
  11. He looked darn impressive today. Would he be worth taking at #30 if he lasts that long? Or Smith? Hockenson? This looks like a decent TE class this year.
  12. Yes, the officiating sucked but if you can't make free throws you're gonna lose. That is where that game (and others) was lost.
  13. Without Hill and Brown too.
  14. I would guess the only redeeming thing about these projections is it gives us something to chew on until Spring Training starts in earnest. They are just speculating like the rest of us.
  15. Did the Celtics really play that poorly tho?
  16. Not being able to score in the last couple of minutes of the game last night along with lousy free throw shooting doomed Bucky. It is a shame the best player on the team can't be counted on at the free throw line. This will prevent him from playing at the next level too.
  17. Last night was one heck of a statement game in Toronto. Giannis missed a lot of time out there in the second half with foul trouble too.
  18. Seems like a good starter. I do wonder how engaged Rodgers will be trying to learn a new offense for the first time since he came into the league. I think that may reinvigorate him and hopefully get his level of play back to where we've expected it to be his entire career as opposed to last year when he just missed too many wide open receivers. It is now official on the Packers' website. I too think this new offensive philosophy will reinvigorate Rodgers and get him to again play up to his considerable potential.
  19. Yes, what are you gonna do when a team is shooting lights out? Shooting over 50% isn't something teams do very often. It didn't help that our guys couldn't hit the broad side of a barn at times either and turned it over too much. Well, you aren't gonna win every night. On to Detroit.
  20. Did they hire him? I haven't heard any official word about it yet.
  21. I don't know either. His free throw percentage is not very good.
  22. Something to do with the mecca floor. Didnt really catch the explanation. Yes, they resemble the old floor at the Mecca.
  23. Back in the Mecca days with Moncrief and Cummings were on the team (I guess I'm showing my age!) when we lived in GB my hubby and I went to several games a year but when the team went south we stopped watching so I guess we are bandwagoners too. We now watch the games again on our Sling Box down here. Very fun indeed.
  24. I can understand why Campen left. Cleveland gave him the title of both OL coach and assistant HC, something he wasn't going to get in GB.
