The Rockies made the playoffs for a reason. Yes, the Rockies look better than Atlanta did last night.
-
This has been an issue for us all season so why would it be any different now?
-
Yes, JJ got ground balls but we couldn't turn them. Thank God we got it in the 10th!
-
JJ had a poor outing yesterday so let's hope he got it out of his system for the rest of this series.
-
He has been finding ways to get on base ahead of our MVP however.

That strike call was a joke. This umpire has been all over the place all game (both for and against us) Yeah, that's gotta be insanely difficult for the hitters. I mean, if the ump is calling an inch or two off the plate, you can adapt a bit as long as he's doing it the full game. When he's calling it a strike one time, then a ball the next three, then a strike the next two, then no one knows what to do. I don't want to see that ump again behind the plate this postseason.
-
How in the hell did he go from AL player of the week to this?
-
Where is there a list of guys who didn't make the cut?
-
Yes, everyone would say it was fiction or even fantasy.
-
I was thinking the same thing on using Santana with nobody on...
-
Isn't she a brunette? Perhaps it was her low cut white top? She loves to show off her "assets" but I gotta hand it to her - she really pays attention to the games and scores every pitch.
-
I am certain I saw Chase in the dugout last night...
-
Can't he be activated later?
-
Another thing one of the announcers on FS1 pointed out that I didn't consider is each time a Rockies batter comes up to bat they have to face a different pitcher. Often when batters face a pitcher the second and/or third time around they have a better idea of the pitchers' stuff. As Joe Girardi said on the MLB Network after the game you can't do this every day but with all the days off in these kinds of series you can do this every once in a while.

It is too late for this season but if you know anyone in Wisconsin who gets Fox Sports WI purchase a Sling Box, an extra cable box and install these in their home and then you can stream all of those games over the internet anywhere in the world in 2019. If you get a Roku or Fire TV you can then have the stream go directly to your TV. http://www.slingbox.com/

2018-10-02 (& 03): Wild Card Playoff Games
Pugger replied to Eye Black's topic in Archived Game Threads
Yes, I've had my fill of the Cubs. We play them enough already and they have been on TV a ton this summer. -

It truly is awesome but not all of us are fellas.
-
Even the players in the locker room soaked in champagne talked about hearing all the Brewer fans at Wrigley. I hope the flub players and fans now know what it is like to have opposing fans infiltrate their ball park.
-
I would hope those who vote for this award remember this.
-
Guerra has performed great out of the bullpen for multiple innings this past month so I'd take him over Jennings.
-
Because in close playoff games, Broxton won't play. He can't hit. If there's an injury to an OF, Broxton can be an injury-replacement. I'd probably keep Santana before Broxton or Thames. I had 1 spot left. I just hope it isn't Barnes or Williams I don't think it's fair to say Broxton can't hit when he went 20/20 last season, and is one of the only guy on the bench who hits LHP well. He's a borderline major league starter because of his AVG/OBP issues, but perfectly fine off the bench in my opinion. And his defense saves games. Plus it appears Broxton is the first guy off the bench for defensive purposes.
-
They might want Broxton's defensive abilities over Thames'. The way Knebel is throwing there is no way he isn't on the post season roster.
-
I suspect they want the Dodgers in the late game. If the Yankees beat the A's tomorrow we'll see them and the Red Sox in prime time for sure. We aren't a big draw in their eyes.

You were there? Do tell us all about it!!!
