Having that small of a stadium might work for them. They have problems with attendance but from what I hear of my neighbors down there that go to Tropicana the location of their present ball park is an issue. It isn't in the best part of St. Petersburg.

There would be more Brewer fans if the game was during "the season" when the snow birds are down there.

Ah Yes Jim Powell...I feel like that was a Marlin's game where he also used the gem "Both of the Marlins fans here did not like that call" I don't know why nobody goes to these games. It is almost as bad in Tampa. The only time that place gets any fans is when they play the Yankees and Boston.

I've never understood this. Even if a pitcher is wild shouldn't a strike still be a strike no matter what the other pitches have been before that one??

The pathetic attendance at Marlins Park yesterday was normal. For some reason they cannot get people to go to those games. I think there were more people at the Green Bay Bullfrogs' game than in Miami last night.

His bullpen use is my main beef with CC. Counsell will give Kneble work every few days but not Hader?

I think I read earlier this morning that the players voted on the pitchers and relievers back in mid-June so this might be why Votto got voted in instead.

I'm glad the MLB Network is giving the Crew some love. I get that station in FL but not up here at UWGB when I am up "home" for 10 weeks every summer.

No. Most guys who do that are messed up for a while afterwards. I'll be surprised if we get more than one player in the ASG. It will most likely be Hader and he won't play in it like Corey last year...

I know the Cubs are only a game and a half behind but if you look at the MLB site or BSPN you would think the Cubs are the only team in our division with a winning record. It is crazy how the national media ignore us like they do. I realize that team from Chicago has a big following but our story would be a lot more compelling if we were in the east or western division.

I never heard anyone say Broxton isn't a good defender, He lost his spot to Yelich and Cain.

That home plate ump yesterday with the floating strike zone didn't do Zagurski any favors either. That one pitch that he called ball 3 was actually a pitch he called a strike before Votto's at bat and after.

I kinda felt bad for Zagurski being asked to pitch to Votto in that situation. We were really shorthanded and we beat this team, what, 7 times in a row? We were bound to drop one to them if you go by the law of averages. Houser or Lopez should be pleased that Zagurski struggled - it increased their chances of getting called up.
