You know, that is one thing that hasn't come up much with Braun's move to 1B. Not only is he closer to fans, he's also closer to the opposing team's dugout in some stadiums. I wonder if he was hearing some jaw jacking from the dugout while on defense? He has been getting it from fans for 5 years. It can't be any fun to be booed everywhere you go (and even at Miller Park when Cubby fans take over ) so if he was jaw-jacking there I don't blame him.

I'm in the eastern time zone and I couldn't stay up. It was fun watching replays this morning.

How many 2 out 2 strike hits did we get yesterday? Last season we couldn't do that to save our souls.

Well, our Slingbox, according to my BIL in GB, is back up and running so now I'll be able to watch spring training games in Fox Sports WI so I am eager to see how the club looks.

How have these 2 big acquisitions looked so far this spring? Our Slingbox has been out so we haven't been able to see any of the games down here yet this spring.

Down here southwest FL we get all the Marlin and Rays games so I've seen Yelich play a lot. He will hit for more power in Milwaukee, is still in his prime and is solid defensively. What's not to like?

I doubt it. Miami is having another fire sale so I suspect he wasn't unhappy at all. The last I heard Realmuto has requested to be traded too.

I'm not all that sorry we missed the boat. This bunch still has a lot to learn, especially how to manufacture runs when you absolutely need to! Even if we got a WC spot I doubt we would have done much this year. I will say the future looks bright and 2018 is gonna be fun.

I think at this point in his career Braun belongs in the American League where he can DH. It wouldn't hurt to see if we can get something for him this offseason while he still has some value.

Our bullpen has been pretty darn good this season. The bullpen was the least of our problems this year. IMO it was the lack of getting key hits with RISP and thus not being able to add on runs later in the games.

It was a fun season and we have a lot to look forward to in 2018. Even if we lose again tomorrow we'll still be ahead of those damn Cardinals in the standings.
