And all of our ground balls go right to defenders. It is almost like we are cursed...

This. There is not a single player on this team that will be a part of a World Series Champion Milwaukee Brewers team. And outside of the young ones just coming up and under team control for years at an affordable rate, very few will realistically be a part of a good Brewers team ever again. Seriously, can you picture a way to retool the roster such that Lucroy will ever play on another good Brewers team before his talents inevitably deteriorate? That said, it is this team's management style to hold on to players until they are devoid of most value they once had and get little to nothing in return, so I'm not holding my breath. And this is why we need a change in management and fill it with someone OUTSIDE of the organization.

I pray if Melvin is given a pink slip we hire someone OUTSIDE of the organization from a team with a winning tradition and mindset. Perhaps a new perspective and new blood would do us a world of good. Something has to change because the status quo isn't working in Milwaukee.

I would think sadness should be your reaction rather than outrage.

And this will determine home field advantage in the World Series. They need to do one of two things. Either leave fan voting out of it and take the best players (obviously not 9 outfielders or something) but the best group of players at their positions or my preferred option, stop with this farce that this exhibition game determines home field advantage for the championship. They completely overreacted to the 2002 all-star game. Instead of allowing players back in and just playing at half speed until some team "won" they had to stop the game for some reason. Even if they just keep going and throw like 50 mph meatballs to the plate and some team wins that way, it's talked about for maybe a week. The rules are tweaked a little so they prevent it from happening again and everyone just moves on. Absolutely. It was stupid to the extreme to make the results of an exhibition game determine which team gets HFA in the World Series. Perhaps the new commissioner will see the light and change the mess Selig created here.

Why even do that? Just DFA him...no point in putting him in the bullpen at this point. It appears Lohse is a great leader and mentor in the clubhouse. That has value for a young club like this even if he is struggling on the mound.

With the way our guys are playing who'd want 'em? Anyone who thinks we're gonna get a bunch of great prospects next month is kidding themselves.

It appears we are back playing like we did in April. How sad. Counsell should put Lohse in the bullpen and out of the rotation until Peralta comes back.

Going down to AAA did wonders for Scooter, so far. He looks like a changed man.

That web gem by Scooter was great. He looks like a changed man so going down to the minors did wonders for him. It is so fun watching the guys play decent baseball after enduring the horror of April.

He gave them a chance to win. A good chance by only giving up two runs. He wasn't terrible by any means. He just never gets any run support. He had some screw-ups but got himself out of couple of tight spots as well.

That commercial is horrible. Just really not a good choice. And they play it constantly! FSNW needs new commercials big time.
  13. Pugger
Yes, they are more fun to watch these days, that's for sure.

Its beginning to rain again and Jeffers is wild. Never mind. He got out of that inning.

Could netting have prevented Hector Gomez from flying face first into the stands in St. Louis?
  16. Pugger
I'm guessing you didn't watch? Brewers smoked a lot of balls today but right at players. It happens. But they did swing it pretty well today. I have to say the guys have been playing better since CC became manager. At least it isn't painful and frustrating like it was for so many weeks.

Does anybody know how this nerve damage happened?

Is it just me or does it seem like the league is dragging its feet on Smith's appeal? I wish a decision would come tomorrow so the suspension will get over with. Well the Smith suspension would have been quicker if not for the other guy getting caught a day or two later. Now they are waiting on his hearing(which was today) and a decision will come on Friday. I would guess they get the same suspension. Ah yes, I forgot about the other guy.

    This.

It appears from here that this will be an issue for him the rest of his career. Some team who needs a big bat out in the outfield might show some interest but will they make us an offer that will be worth it for us?
  21. Pugger
I agree. This removes any hope that Braun goes into the asset column going forward as far as tradability. We will now be stuck with him for the life of his deal. His on the field cant stay healthy issues now match his off the field PED stigma issues. Im going to be sick. I don't think this is a big deal. It's not like he can't play with it as long as they treat it regularly.

With the way this season is going I don't get pissed any more when things go like they are today. We aren't playing well and guys are dropping like flies. By the All-Star break Colorado Springs will run out of players while we pilfer that roster.
  24. Pugger
He's not lost. He is just one frustrated player. You can see it in his face and demeanor. I suppose with no Braun or Ramirez he has to be in there.
  25. Pugger
Well, I'm sorry to see Cravy sent back down but we do need OFs.
