  1. Or he is hurt and is still the Brewers best option. If this is the case he deserves credit for playing through his injury if the team asked him to. Alot of guys wouldn't do this. If he has nerve damage in that thumb that has to effect his swing at the plate.
  2. We have won a few games in a row. Its hard to win night after night. Maybe tomorrow night things will be different. That WI kid (Zimmerman?) is pitching for them. Who is on the mound for us?
  3. This is why I hate it when we are on national TV. We usually look like this when we do.
  4. Ok, here we go - 2 more innings to get off the schnide.
  5. Did any of you expect any love from BSPN? They have no clue about our team other than Braun who is looking horrible tonight. I hope this is the last time we are on that network this year.
  6. Really! I suppose every manager or head coach in any sport can drive fans crazy at times. RR doesn't get a lot of love but neither does McCarthy in GB.
  7. I wonder if the Rockies' offense will be as prolific at Miller Park compared to Coors Field?
  8. This is a comment that is aimed indirectly at a lot of people who post on this board, & is out of line in terms of board etiquette. Please refer to said etiquette if you have any questions. viewtopic.php?f=73&t=4208 Whoa. I was more so talking in terms of the national media not buying into the Brewers because it's still "early." Wouldn't be negative in the optimism thread lol. You mean the national media knows we are in first place in the division ahead of the Cards and the second best record in the bigs?
  9. Even tho we went for the sweep and had leads in every game I held my breath every time the Rockies were batting. They are truly a great offensive team but they screw up a lot defensively and their pitching staff is a mess with guys hurt.
  10. They are meaningless. Just like the top 100 prospect analysts sheets. Heck even the top 50. I'm rather surprised they think it is anything at all seeing they hardly ever mention us unless we lose and you never see our game listed on their main MLB page so you have to search their website to find any recap of our games. They do have a clip of the wild pitch from yesterdays game and a link to the recap on the main page but that's because of the crazy play there.
  11. I remember Rock saying the person who scores at this ball park is pretty generous with giving guys hits so maybe this is why the Rockies lead the bigs in team hitting. There were a few times in Friday's game where both teams were awarded hits when it prob should have been an error instead.
  12. And no Reynolds. Yesterday's win was especially gratifying with these guys on the bench.
  13. Oh yes, now I remember! thnx
  14. No, I'm not concerned. After his suspension and all he's doing the right thing by keeping his head down.
  15. I thought it was the other way around...
  16. Agree with this 100%. Off the bat, I thought easy grounder. Then I realize that Weeks is absolutely nowhere near the ball and couldn't even touch it on a dive. A 2b with even average range is going to field that ball and likely get the out. Weeks really hurt us in this game in the field and at the plate. He's been a pain to watch for a while. How long are we stuck with this guy? This situation reminds me of Bill Hall...
  17. Even if Luc gets a single we most likely get 2 runs and the lead. Getting the slam was the ultimate 'revenge'.
  18. This surprised me as well. I hope MLB addresses this in the offseason. It was obvious to everyone it was intentional even after the home plate ump went up to him and warned him about that nonsense. Didn't we have a situation earlier this year where our releaver only had 8 pitches to 'warm up' on the mound? I can't recall the game or situation tho....
  19. I was reading a D-Back forum earlier and most of those fans don't have a problem with Gibson ordering a hit on Braun, just the timing of it. They all think Braun is a low life who ruined the guy's life who left Braun's sample on his desk over the weekend. Of course he was suspended for not following protocol and never lost his job. It is amazing how fans think Braun is the only guy to ever take a PED and lie about it. FSN Wisconsin is replaying the game right now and they are in the memorable inning so I gotta go watch. I wasn't home to see it live last night. I didn't get home until the bottom of the 8th.
