  1. What was maddening is our offense showed some signs of life and then Wily imploded. Man, we get a slam and then give up that lead in the very next inning. Hopefully our bats are coming back and Lohse will pitch well tonight. A big win might be just the elixir this team needs to get out of this funk.
  2. We don't know what RR says behind closed doors. He may the type of manager who will not throw his guys under the bus in public. The pitching isn't the problem even with Estrada giving up homers at every outing. What is killing this team is our all stars are not hitting and when we do get a couple of hits we screw up on the bases. It almost looks like some of them are trying too hard. The harder they try the worse it gets. Let's see how they perform tomorrow.
  3. I'm glad this guy didn't go to the Reds, Cards or Pirates and he is in the AL.
  4. I'm not surprised Smith didn't make it but Lohse should have. I too am glad Braun can stay home and rest his bad back, ribs and thumb. If Lucroy keeps playing like he has he'll be the starter next year.
  5. Did any of you really think Lyle was gonna get the ball deep enough to score Gomez there? Very frustrating game but thankfully this loss didn't hurt to much because the Cards and Reds also lost.
  6. The Mets, Philly and especially the Rays are having a hard time winning so I like our chances with them. They are playing like the Cubs this year so don't be surprised if we sweep. I'll wager there could be more Brewer fans at Tropicana field than Rays' fans. If we can split with ST, Wash and Cincy I'll be happy with that. Fortunately we'll be facing ST and Cincy at Miller Park.
  7. But, 7 of those games were vs. Colorado a terrible pitching team. Any hitter's impressive numbers of late when it comes vs. Colorado for Fantasy I take in with a cautious but. I mean Segura hit 2HRs in that game in Coors, I'm sure his numbers in the last 9 games also looks appealing due to that power output. I believe in Braun, Just the small sample size of late I wouldn't put to much in to it due to the opponent. It's great Wang got 4 outs in 3batters faced. Maybe it'll encourage Ron to try him more in games we're down. Like rather than having used Kinztler in a terrible 8th inning outing, he will just use Wang to complete the game. Of course for Braun or any hitter in a slump it doesn't hurt to face a pitching staff as poor as the Rockies. Isn't hitting partly a mental thing? It might help his confidence and that could be half the battle.
  8. Gallardo had a 3.23 ERA coming into this game. He's been terrible today, but he, Peralta, and Lohse have all been pretty decent. No kidding. I wasn't surprised by yesterday's game. We had beaten this team 6 games in a row and we just finished 19 games in a row without a day off. Something had to give. We still have a 6+ game lead on the Cards and the Reds. Today is a welcome day off. Segura and Gomez should be back in the lineup tomorrow. Toronto has cooled off and went 4-6 in the last 10 games while we went 7-3. This might be good time to face them.
  9. I haven't read the other Wang thread. Can someone explain what the reasoning is of MLB with this rule #5 and why he has to stay on the big club all season? This is actually hurting him more than anyone because he really needs to be pitching but because we are in a pennant race we are trying to win as many games as we can so we don't want to put him in there giving up runs.
  10. What makes it funny is Molina has such a lead in the voting the chances of Luc overtaking him very are small. And any Card fan who is honest with themselves would agree Luc's numbers are better than Molina's this year. I have a feeling Molina isn't upset about it - just Card fans. If Lucroy plays like this the rest of this season and post season he'll be the starting catcher next season.
  11. I don't get that either. They should just dump that rule.
  12. Where I am staying here in Green Bay they don't have the MLB Network. I'll get it again when I'm back home in FL.
  13. Those Toyota commercials with that Jan gal are getting tiresome too. They keep showing the same damn ads over and over and over...
  14. Its a lot better than in the NFL with the HC throwing a red hankie.
  15. Darn, I'm renting a student apartment at UWGB this summer and we don't get the MLB Network so we have to just listen to the radio broadcast. If I were back at home I'd get the game.
  16. What??? Where are you? BTW, why is the game not on FOX Sports WI?
  17. Matt only had a couple of bad innings tonight and made on big mistake that resulted in a HR. It looks like the Cards won so we're back to 4 and half up.
  18. Only if we are the home team. That place drove me crazy.
