  1. Read today Kidd saying he wants Giannis to play the point. Granted it's summer league, but the little bit I saw of him doing it today I am pretty intrigued. He seems like a natural with the ball in his hands...and thats a verrrrrry good thing for us Bucks fans. Kidd specifically referenced a PG-Giannis SG-Knight SF-Parker PF-Ilyasova C-Sanders combination. Defensively it scares me a bit with Parker/Illy but let Knight take the PG on defense and the rest looks pretty good. Then again, maybe its Giannis laying waste to Dante Exum in the halfcourt and then posterizing the 7-3 Rudy Gobert that has me seeing stars
  2. What about signing AJ Pierzynski and moving Lucroy to 1B for the rest of the year? Pierz is clearly on the decline, but would provide an OK left handed bat, and would keep Luuuuc fresher/upgrade 1B for the rest of the season. Not exactly ideal, but it would be a way for us to bench Reynolds/Overbay without parting with any of our assets. I don't buy the "cancer" bull$hit in Boston, those high strung idiots out there always find a scapegoat and blame everything on it. IE-chicken and beer in dugout last time they sucked.
  3. Apparently the Carlos Gomez #FAIL in breaking the bat over his knee was the capitulation of our struggles? Nice to see us finally dish it out on somebody else, division is too close for my liking but feels good to enter the break in the lead after what has taken place lately.
  4. sigh...i was excited all day for the game being on tv (I don't get them in MN), and i'm rewarded with this dumpsterfire. these guys are really testing my patience lately.
  5. Wasn't Cruz paid like 9 mil this year? I would have rather we paid him that kind of money.
  6. There isn't a rush...if we don't get him then we sit down until next year. He's only like 23 and had very little wear the first couple years. Next year's draft is expected to be pretty weak (could change im sure), but I wouldn't count on us having another historically bad season. If Larry can be what he was before last year I think we'll be closer to 30 wins, which would take us out of the top 3-4 probably.
  7. Why do we need to wait to make a play for a tier-one? Bledsoe is a budding star in this league and we can already get young with him. Sessions is what he is, there's no reason to clog up the system with another useless player who doesn't fit a long term plan. It's not a given Phoenix matches a deal either, they have to make a decision whether to keep Bledsoe and Ennis or Dragic and Ennis long term. Dragic is probably the logical option as he can play SG.
  8. 2 Divas matches in one night? Dayam RAW is turning the page.
  9. I think we'd be insane to not run in and offer Bledsoe a big contract now while the Suns are occupied. Sure we may not get him, but our best shot is when they are not 100% sure on it...every time Bledsoe has gotten good run he produces...he is a very good player that many folks are underrating because they simply look at his "career numbers." He backed up CP3 for most of that time, he and Knight would be a pretty dynamic backcourt.
  10. Supposedly (per Stein) we're working on offer sheets for Eric Bledsoe (max deal) and Greivis Vasquez.
  11. Not much to do, other than get an ace SP or a 1B which has been covered ad nauseum.
  12. But who? There's not really any options out there unfortunately. Maybe Trumbo? He's on a 1 year 4.8mil deal via arbitration, and is hurt? Cuddyer? He's hurt too. All of the elite 1B are on teams that are playing for something except Goldshmidt, and he isn't going anywhere.
  13. Forgive me, but I don't see how Adam Dunn is any better than Mark Reynolds. The name Adam Dunn is alot of the reason people keep talking about him, not his talent. He hasn't been worth anything for years...just a strikeout machine that crushes a meatball once in awhile. Give or take a few digits each season, Dunn and Reynolds slash's are nearly identical...except Reynolds is making millions less. Yes, he is a bit better than Overbay, but do we need to take that salary on for a guy that is providing the same WAR ? I think we should have signed Justin Morneau is what we should have done (even before seeing what he's doing this season). Maybe if the Rockies continue to cliffdive they will unload him or Cuddy later in the season. Cuddy could probably be had for very little right now since hes on the 60 day DL and will not help save their season. He'd be good 1B and OF depth and his contract expires after the season.
  14. If we wanted to spend 7.5 million on somebody for a half year we should have done it on Morales. Time to put the Dunn convo to bed IMO unless the White Sox eat his salary for us like the Cubs did for the Yanks with Soriano last year.
  15. I've seen quite a bit of stuff suggesting Cleveland likes Parker too. I hope they do take him, while Wiggins has questions of his own we don't need to dump any of our young guys in order to fit him into the rotation. We could also keep Ilyasova on the floor as a stretch 4 too, because if he's healthy he is good enough.
  16. Honestly I think his problem was that he played too much early in the season. Yeah how could you take him out with how hot he was, but it may not have been the best decision out of the gates after all he's been through. I think if we signed him as our 4th OF mostly to back Braun/Davis up he could be useful to us as a LH bat, hes better than Logan freaking Schafer. Perhaps playing occasionally would actually keep him fresh and help his production. Dude just looks plain wore out to me at this point.
  17. But it does matter if you expect this pick to be the cornerstone of the franchise for 10+ years. Honestly, this does not matter a bit. You need to acquire the best talent and make it work. Some of these guys won't be around in a year or two anyhow. Depending on matchups, etc. Parker/Wiggins and Giannis can be on the floor at the same time plenty. Not to mention they need to sub in and out. Lots of minutes to go around. The cornerstone comment is completely irrelevant. If we can't win games by the time his 5 years is up he has every right to find better employment if he is disapointed. If anything taking Wiggins will force the Bucks to not be complacent and work their butts off to make sure they win and don't ever have to deal with a "leave or not leave situation." Parker is a complacency pick IMO.
  18. Last I read Owings was the future at SS and they were disappointed in Didi's bat. His defense is fine though...I guess it would be fine to pick him up but just don't expect a whole lot of upside.
  19. Agree. I don't think we could get him signed to a LT extension, not if we couldn't get Greinke to. Assuming he would agree to an extension though, I would definitely pull the trigger. We need a good LH arm really bad and I would part with Nelson to make that happen. Don't forget that Price is only 28, we could get quite a few good seasons out of his arm before he even gets to that age we usually sign FA starters at, lol. Price is not that far from elite in the AL (WHIP and ERA are similar to Yu Darvish), if he moved to the NL I think he could very well be in the Cy Young discussions for multiple seasons. Hell even Liriano pulled it off when he moved leagues, anybody can.
  20. Is Craig Counsell available? I'm kind of in withdrawal from not seeing that godawful swing of his. Also, the Twinkies are right in the Division race (they won't win it), so I don't think they will be trading Willy or anyone else unless an implosion happens. They are prepping to bring a couple of their stud AAA pitchers up here shortly, so they could stay in the Division race through part of August.
  21. There are none available, and if there were available, any would they come to Milwaukee instead of LA? Look at the hires so far this season, Quinn Synder, Steve Kerr, Derrick Fischer and Flip Saunders. I understand that they bucks don't need to get a superstar coach like what they did in George Karl, but there aren't assistant coaches that are ready to be a head coach or there wouldn't be hiring point guards with no coaching experience. Not sure if Hammond will be around on opening night, but I see replacing Drew being very difficult. There's quit a few good possibilities IMO. David Fizdale (MIA top assistant) is very highly regarded as the piece that has kept all the egos in line Alex Jensen (NBADL head coach) - former protege of the late Rick Majerus, and considered to be very bright Stackhouse - no NBA HC experience, but he wants to get into it. Joeger from Memphis would be ok too, the FO wants to dump him so the owner can have "his guy." or if we really want to make a splash...we could hire David Blatt, one of the best coaches in Europe. Now that would be the definition of paving our own road.
  22. Can we start Krod instead? The book is out on Estrada, man does he stink.
  23. We're wouldn't be trading for Chavez to an everyday player. We'd be adding him to do what he's done the last couple years which is backup 1st and 3rd base. And he hasn't been hurt this year, has put up a slash line of .277/.342/.483 with an OPS of .825 the last three years playing in about 240 games in that role. If you want a really good left handed hitter who can play 1st and 3rd base and vastly improve our bench while paying about 1.7 million dollars for him, he's perfect. I suppose the version of Eric Chavez that isn't a "shell of his former self," is Josh Donaldson. Though I don't see us being able to pry away a guy from the team with the best record in Baseball who's under team control through 2018 for any 2-3 players in our organization from the A's. So a "gritty vet," who can actually produce, but who just needs to have his PT managed, seems ideal given our situation and the fact that the D-backs probably don't have much use for him. I was literally asking if we could get him on the field 2 days a week, not expecting him to play more than that. If he can be healthy i'm certainly not opposed to it, a healthy Chavez would be a great addition at the price. And yes, he has been hurt most of the season.
  24. Sandow is in the upper tier of mic workers, but its hard to say who is the best/2nd best and so on. Here is a list of guys I feel are at the top of WWE. Bad News Barrett Bray Wyatt Bo Dallas CM Punk (I still expect him back before next year's WM) Damien Sandow Dean Ambrose Dolph Ziggler John Cena Paul Heyman Seth Rollins Stephanie McMahon Titus O'neil Triple H Zeb Colter I tried to limit it down even more, but I really enjoy listening to all of these characters speak. Pure entertainment. 1) Ric Flair WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...he doesn't even have to be there to be the best lol 2) Bray Wyatt 3) AJ Lee 4) Sandow 5) Seth Rollins 6) Dean Ambrose 7) Barrett 8) Stephanie 9) Vincent Kennedy McMahon I wish they'd let Paige do some talking...she barely graces us with her presence and then poof shes gone lol
  25. Sandow being wasted is an understatement. He might be one of the best on the mic they have aside from Wyatt.
