  1. Lol trash defense choking.
  2. Not to mention Dillion has been decent today.
  3. These play calls at the goal line are mega idiotic.
  4. I think people are underrating how much of a grind it is to call this game as a head coach or QB. It ain’t easy and the plays aren’t always so simple. You can see it in Rodgers face, he is absolutely grinding to lead this team to a huge road win. It’s been a great effort by many…time to finish it.
  5. Running out of carts and ambulances
  6. When they showed him walking into the tunnel…sad, just sad. Gotta imagine that might be it this year.
  7. Before this game all I could think was this was the perfect scenario for Rodgers to prove the Randall Cobb thing as a really great thing. The story seems to be going that way. Incredible grab on TD #1 and now another TD.
  8. PETA is pleading with MLB and fans to drop the term 'bullpen' and instead use their thought of term 'arm barn'. They say the term 'bullpen' devalues talented players.
  9. Thanks for the reminder about one of the multiple times our defense blew chunks in playoff OT and Rodgers never touched the ball. Good times.
  10. Well....first off he wasn't really good last year either...he was pretty terrible. He has the one good game against Illinois and then went downhill after that. They are 0-5 in any game he has thrown 25+ passes. When throwing 20 or less passes they are 6-1...the only loss is this years Michigan game. Only one of his 16 career INTs have come in those games. No offense to Graham Mertz, but he has zero awareness on a football field. Every second he holds onto the ball his liability exponentially grows. Whether that be an INT, sack, or fumble. The offensive line also isn't that great and not helping the cause. Their defense is playing at a pretty amazing level. The best way to win is minimize the liability of really bad plays on offense. I am guessing at this point they have pretty much given up on Mertz being a difference maker QB.
  11. Doug Melvin's co-captain of the ship wasn't an assistant GM...it was the owner. A lot of the reason why we weren't a perennial contender was because Attanasio really didn't allow the team to be ran such a way back then. He said he wanted to compete every year, but he wanted/forced moves to make us one and done 2011. I don't think Doug Melvin was a genius by any means, but he ran a pretty sound organization and gave us quite a parting gift of a situation. David Stearns is a good GM, but the reason people think he is Top 5 is because his owner now (pretty much) sits on the sideline with his mouth shut. A couple dumb ideas by Attanasio would make this a vastly different looking situation. If he had the Attanasio of the Melvin years I don't think we are having anywhere near the success we are having right now, in my opinion.
  12. I always love when massive companies can't even bother with automated emails to just mass tell applicants they aren't moving on in the process. Some do, but many don't. I always feel you can learn a lot about how working for a company will be simply on the application process. How the job is posted, what is in the job posting, and how interviews are. Slow interview process with a million steps? Probably a good sign how trying to submit leave etc. is going to be.
  13. I mean...the Mets just wanted to hire the guy in that spot to run their team. Sounds like Brewers GM be a real nice bridge to a big time gig. Arnold handled a lot of the non player related operations so Stearns could focus on player operations. Of course Stearns also said him and Arnold worked very close together on player operations too. I would have to think every single non GM would love to have that job. Not only is it a promotion, but you get to sit right under a guy that is pretty highly regarded these days. You would either be groomed to take a really good POBO/GM position elsewhere in a few years or Stearns would move on and you would be incredibly likely to just be promoted as top dog for the Brewers. If you have offers to go be top dog for another team, yah, you might not want the Brewers GM gig...but if you don't have that chance this would be about as good as it gets.
  14. Out of college I had an interview scheduled for a company that was a solid 6ish hours away, but they were going to pay for mileage so I was willing to drive. About a week before the interview they emailed me seeing if I wanted to just do it via video. I kind of figured they had already found someone and they wanted to get out of paying me to drive there so I declined the video interview option. Thought it was a little dumb they wouldn't just cancel it all together, but if they were going to waste my time I at least wanted to use them as a practice interview out of college. Of course after the interview they admitted they preferred someone experienced and it looked like they were going to have a few of those people to pick from. The best part was about a month or two later (after I accepted a job offer elsewhere) when they kept calling me and emailing me seeing if I was interested in the position still. Too often do I feel companies are focused on finding experience and not really taking into consideration how long that person may be hanging around. My current employer loves hiring people that everything about them says "I won't be around long".
  15. Mitchell and Small aren't worth renting Tatis for two months.
  16. Yah, if we were going to get a Top 30 prospects he would have been gone by now. I won't say impossible at this point, but it really just doesn't make a ton of sense. The only way Hader gets traded at this point is if the Brewers are trading him just because they don't want to lose him for nothing, in my opinion. The Brewers getting this "impossible to resist package" is never coming, in my opinion. To me, that's a pipe dream at this point. If it didn't happen when he was controllable 3-4 years, why happen now?
  17. Their schedule has been brutal, in their defense (maybe defense isn't a good word to use when talking about the Chiefs). I mean Browns, Bills, Ravens, and Titans already is pretty rough. I mean they have essentially played every Super Bowl contender in the AFC. Of course they have lost all of those games minus the Browns (which who knows about them) and in a few got rocked. The bad part for the Chiefs, it really doesn't get much more pleasant. They still have one of the top AFC teams (Bengals) and two NFC Super Bowl caliber teams (Cowboys/Packers). Then they have a flurry of of divisional games, including on the road to the Chargers that already beat them at Arrowhead. They haven't played the #1 team in the division once yet. Their season is good as toast because A) They aren't that great and B) Even if they make the playoffs they are unlikely to see Arrowhead outside of a WC game...if that.
  18. Really young guy...seems like they are trying to be like a fellow divisional foe.
  19. They never even really pulled away. Actually, Kansas just about got a 4th down stop to get the ball near the 50 down by (I think) 5 points with 4 or so minutes remaining. The Oklahoma QB ripped the ball out of the RBs hands and that was the only reason they made the first down. They reviewed that play and said the forward handoff was allowed because it was behind the line. However, people took to twitter pointing out the rule book says such a play isn't allowed if the runner has lost forward progress...which was pretty obvious as the RB was in the process of getting shoved yards backwards. I didn't care enough to figure out whether or not the refs blew that play. The refs in that game were really strange. That was at least the third play where a guy was getting stuffed or a guy was getting bulldozed backwards and the play was never stopped. I have never seen refs allow plays to go so dang long. Oklahoma should fall in the rankings though and should honestly have just about zero shot of making the playoff...unless they go undefeated and there is no other undefeated team to overtake them. The amount of, honestly garbage, opponents they have struggled to beat is impossible to ignore at this point. Kansas has the former UW-Whitewater coach...not sure he can totally turn around a program that was so bad when he got it...but man that guy has some fire and energy leading a team.
  20. I was goin to say this. You will probably save a massive amount the first year for intro TDS rates. I think their entry level internet is like $30. Now I think that goes up after the first year, but even then it is still less than Spectrum. Worst case you save a bunch of money for a year and then go back to Spectrum and save money for a year again. I thought Spectrum required you to be away from their service for two years...but I could be wrong. When it comes to my area I will probably just test it out the first year to save a little money on internet and they are going to rip up in the right of way to go past my house anyway...might as well have them do it to my house at the same time.
  21. TDS internet is much faster. Is there customer service a pile of trash? Yeah, but then again if your other option is Spectrum can't say it is much better. TDS is typically cheaper, but I believe they do they same thing Spectrum does and makes it look better with a cheaper first year. A lot of people love TDS, but I have seen a lot of very upset people too. They do a really crummy job running the cable and often times will leave it half done for months or never come back to clean up their mess. If you get the service in the winter and your utilities are buried the cable will just chill on your lawn all winter. As you can imagine when spring comes they are ridiculously backed up and people end up have the cable on their lawn all spring/summer....hopefully getting buried before winter comes again. They really don't care about you at that point because you have service and are paying them. They are more worried about hooking up new customers so they can get more people paying them. My town has yet to get it because they refused to pay for any of the infrastructure setup as TDS didn't want to run cable out to service the rural part of town.
  22. You really think MLB owners would be paying expenses for MiLB teams if the MiLB teams were swimming in cash? Umm, no.
  23. Seems quite a bit of people consider the entire infield a lock, which includes Tellez. I have definitely seen more than one person call him the 1B going into next year.
  24. Trading Wong to move Urias to 2B really makes no sense when you think about it. What exactly are you gaining? You save money by trading Wong just to turn around and spend a lot more just to replace him on the roster. Is this purely just to find someone with better postseason numbers? If so, no thanks.
  25. Except for providing the majority of the offense in the play-offs of course. Really means nothing though. Jeff Suppan was once the NLCS MVP, sure didn't mean much for future results. I am not a Rowdy Tellez hater by any means. I was actually one of the people pretty optimistic when we picked him up and thought he could be useful. I just don't think he is some guy we should just be locking into the 1B job before the offseason even starts. I think the optimism in him going into next year is a bit too high.
