  1. The score will be on the scoreboard. This isn’t like this is Game 162 tomorrow. The divisional race is over…no need to make needing to win tomorrow more dramatic than it is.
  2. I remember when everyone laughed when Jack Coan went to Notre Dame thinking it was a joke. Guess who got the last laugh there by a couple galaxy’s…
  3. What are they even doing? PC constantly runs plays before half with zero expectations of making a drive with 2 minutes left. Why risk FUMBLING THE BALL. Honestly I don’t get that, seems borderline idiotic.
  4. Sad but true. I wish they would just give Mertz a chance to do something. I thought he would in the bye week scrub game, but nope…
  5. I think I’d prefer the Phillies and it seems pretty obvious. Their pitching staff looks a little less daunting and certainly when it comes to their bullpen. Offensively the Braves have a pretty deep line up, do they not? Seem like the Phillies have struggled on the road and the Braves are the exact opposite of that. One team has a run differential of +118 and the other is -2. Seems like a no brainer to me.
  6. Is the owner a millennial? Cause that’s the guy failing in that situation. If they need people working 45-50 hours one has to find out what will motivate the workers to do so. Maybe that is money, but maybe it is something else. Many people don’t like bonuses, especially attached to profits. There are just so many variables and many have nothing to do with the employees actual work. You think the IT guy wants a bonus based on how the sales department did? Anyone I know who gets bonuses aren’t even excited when that time of the year rolls around. They are always expecting the worst and one crummy bonus rubs them the wrong way for a long time. What is even the purpose of finding people not solely motivated by money? Shouldn’t they just find the best employees possible that will help maximize the profits/success of the company? If you don’t want people motivated by money, fine I guess, but then they are motivated by something else. Seems like whatever motivates them isn’t being provided, at least not to work over 40 hours a week.
  7. What he should know is how mediocre Yelich has been for 2 years now. And how sadly predictable is is that Taylor would sit after hitting 2 home runs ? Yelich was due. Do you think....Yelich was due?
  8. Is there any season ticket holder that can tell me how early entry works with a guest this year? I have never actually done it in any year and I can't recall if there was a special all digital procedure this year if you bring a guest. Anyone done it this year and know how I will have to do it tomorrow?
  9. I will await the go ahead from the panic police but until then I think 99.8% is the current number being thrown around. I always wonder how much the percentages account for momentum, if at all. I can't tell you how many times I've been following a sports GameDay and seen a 75-80% chance of winning and laughed as it plummeted to the other side. Anyway, we're not really in "panic" territory unless we go into the final series still having not clinched, but pretty much every historic collapse in sports history started with a very high probability on one side. No, because this really isn't quantifiable and past success in the form of a hot streak doesn't really equal future results being the same.
  10. Come one, nothing sucks worse than a losing streak and then starting a game like total dog poop.
  11. Yah, no thanks. The Dodgers rotation is disturbingly good and their entire line up is simply insane. Why are you scared of one batter, who by the way, wasn't even the best hitter on his team this year by OPS? And what on earth does it even mean for him to be better than anyone on our roster by a substantial amount? I would, easily, take Woodruff/Peralta/OR Burnes over Goldy every day of the week....especially in the postseason. There is absolutely no logical argument for preferring the Cardinals over the Dodgers UNLESS you really believe in the hot team entering the postseason (which it is too soon to really call a team going into the postseason hot). Which the Dodgers probably go into the postseason 'hot' too anyway. The Dodgers are just flat out better than than the Cardinals by a wide margin, even the Brewers are way better despite short term memory results. The sad truth is that either of those 2 teams team has a better batting line-up than we have. We too often need to pull a rabbit out of the hat, those guys have more rabbits than hats. I'll gladly reconsider that if someone shows me the numbers that I am too lazy to look up. I think it is debatable if the Cardinals having a better line up. I think short term memory is skewing your thoughts there. Honestly I think our line up is simply better, not by much...but certainly better. Now the Dodgers Yah, their line up is definitely better and their pitching has certainly performed better. Of course we have the pitchers to go toe to toe with them.
  12. I mean...idk...you are randomally finding guys to interview and you don't think anything of a 6'4" guy. lol In other news Andrew Wiggins flat out cannot play a home game in San Francisco, regardless of exemption to a vaccination. Really strange COVID situation brewing there. I am guessing they are on the hook to paying him regardless if he just kept opting to not get vaccinated. Hopefully he gets vaccinated or just quits for the year instead of making a mess of this. Definitely the first time this road has been traveled in COVID times.
  13. People have often criticized the 'Wall of Honor' and have called it ridiculous. Yet you watch guys like Gallardo come back and almost come to tears talking about the impact the organization had. Then Gomez thanking guys like Roenicke for his career really brings in to perspective the worthiness of having it has. It has been really cool to see most of these players inducted return for such a trivial induction, really shows how happy and thankful they were for their time here.

  15. One of the biggest games left on the schedule for any team is today at 7:10 ET. The Padres will be playing the Braves as the away team, you lost yet? The Padres were in Atlanta on 7/21 and the game had to be paused in the middle of the 5th inning. That game will be started back up tonight before their scheduled game in San Diego tonight, the score is 5-4 in favor of the Padres. This is a massive game for the Braves as they only lead the Phillies by 2 games now. It gets even more wacky. The 7/21 game was a double header, so they will only be playing a 7 inning game for the restart game. The rosters apply to whoever was in the game when it was paused. So any pitcher who had pitched cannot pitch today. Any positional player is considered in so there will be a flurry of substitutions in the bottom of the 5th for guys who aren't currently on the team. The second game tonight is not considered as part of a double header and will be a full 9 innings.
