  1. Brewers lost 5 straight in June and then won 13 out of 14. Stop it announcers, these are facts many don't want to know because it would make freaking out over a 4 game skid hard.
  2. Alright should be safe watching this game and partaking in the IGT. Afternoon game, on Youtube...should be calm in here. Hopefully we win so everyone can back off the ledge. Pretty sure everyone would be thrilled with the situation if you said it was going to happen like this back in May.
  3. A lot of people are trying to tip the server on take-out and are totally unaware that many times for take-out food the tip goes to the kitchen.
  4. Brett Hundley gets a bad wrap because he was...terrible. Further proof is the fact no one else wants him to actually throw a football in a meaningful game either. Could he be an okay back-up? I guess...he did keep the Packers in most games. Yah, his roster wasn't great, but he still wasn't good himself.
  5. They won't because the MLBPA is not going to allow such a ridiculous suspension. EDIT: I finally saw the video of him picking up the card. What a douchebag. He clearly knew it wasn't his and blatantly handed it off to a coach. Well well deserved beaning.
  6. Well considering Henderson was really good that year and had a sub 7 H/9 your odds were probably pretty good that your guy would never bat. It should be noted if your guy did come up to bat the odds would not have been in your favor as you needed him to get on base free or by a hit. Getting to the sixth guy in the order for the inning doesn't seem overly impossible and, again, your odds wouldn't be good if it did so that has to be taken into consideration. I would think before the inning started you odds probably floated in the 70%-80% range. After the first two outs I would guess those odds were likely 95%+. Of course after each of the consecutive hits those odds would have quickly started to plummet. Once he came up to the plate it is reasonable to assume your odds were probably close to his .356 OBP against RHP. You could probably dig deeper and find maybe he struggled against Henderson or guys with his stuff, thus, plummeting the odds more...but for simple sake I would guess it was close to his OBP. This is assuming you were set to win if he never came up to the plate.
  7. I would be a bit more concerned if it was Woodruff/Peralta/Burnes/Hader/Williams etc. imploding. Those are guys you would be worried are getting burnt out and might be hitting a wall. However, they have all been doing pretty well. Even their bad starts are hardly concerning and rarely are multiple strung together. The offense? Meh, they go through cold streaks many times during the year. Some long, some short...I am sure it will be very different some October 8th. People are always way too concerned about how a team enters the postseason. On a cold streak we are concerned we are going to get swept out of the gate, if we were on a big winning streak everyone would be worried that we are peaking too early. No matter how we go into the postseason all bets are off on how different players react to a 4 game lay-off before the first pitch of the NLDS. Some of these starters may not throw in a game for quite awhile before seeing action. I imagine they will try to throw nearly all the BP arms in the final game of the year, but then those players may go over a week before seeing game action.
  8. I think the classic ‘be negative and talk about why they aren’t going to win it all so I don’t get my hopes up’ is going strong these days.
  9. Me too…I’m guessing it is a bunch of people freaking out about the performance of a starter who will start zero games in the postseason. Just a guess though.
  10. They better get to Coan quick or our DBs are going to be absolutely torched by how athletic Norte Dame is. If we can stuff the run and take that out of the equation hopefully we can help out the DBs a little more.
  11. At least you can use the seating map and pick specific tickets...I have recalled in the past many pre-sales you were forced to pick the section and get "best available", was always really annoying. They won't announce time slots until they have a better idea of the teams involved. We are almost destine to get hosed into crummy times per usual.
  12. People are getting way too invested in how a team is playing on September 22nd. Our first postseason game is October 8th, no team right now is on their way to the postseason hot/cold. Any team has a good two weeks of games to make their hot/cold streak look drastically different. There is basically an All Star break between the end of the season and our first game. We went into the all star break looking like garbage and came out sweeping a team and have a strong end to the month. We are playing garbage baseball when we have nearly nothing to play for. The division is sealed and the #2 seed is sealed. Sucking in mid-September is whatever. All I care is the team gets healthy and pitchers don't start looking like they are running out of gas. As a sports god once said: R-E-L-A-X
  13. I think it was the World Series people got snubbed on. I remember reselling NLDS and NLCS tickets now that I think of it. I didn't care about getting locked out of the World Series because I wasn't in a presale high enough to even have a shot at those...so for me there was no harm. As far as the consequences of reselling World Series tickets...guessing you would get locked out for the remainder of the year (so no punishment)...but I don't think I would be willing to test out that theory. Wasn't the limit for the World Series 2? Or was it 4? I suppose for $2k or so I could wipe that punishment. Especially considering I would still have my playoff strip each year.
  14. I don't think they would utilize the Deer District in the NLDS or NLCS. They have a lot of tickets to sell...maybe for the World Series they might try to set up a watch party type area. Baseball just isn't as action packed as other sports. I don't think it would bring as big of a draw to go stand elbow to elbow with people peeing in bottles. Maybe they will do something for road games. Tickets will sell fine, but there are a lot of reasons that demand will be diminished compared to past years (past COVID issues). Consistent success usually diminishes excitement for early round playoff games, especially spend a bunch of money to watch it. The Brewers have made the NLDS/WC four years in a row...it isn't the magical run like 2008/2011/2018. The Bucks run could also cause less demand. Wisconsin sports teams don't pack stadiums with rich business people...it is driven by the casual spectator. This is why the stadium doesn't have plush fancy home plate seating. There could be a lot of money fatigue by people who spent a ton to participate in the Bucks playoff run. However, I think the Bucks/Brewers fanbases don't overlap all that much...so that shouldn't be a huge issue. On the flip side the Brewers (and TV ratings) will definitely benefit from the Packers/Badgers both playing on the road. Additionally the Packers play at noon on Sunday and the Badgers probably will play at noon.
  15. They will probably sell out…or essentially sell out due to the games being on weekend nights. They would have a bigger problem if they had mid week days.
  16. I know people don't want to play the Cardinals in the NLCS because of history, but lets be honest. They aren't that good, they don't particularly look like a good postseason roster, and their road to get to the NLCS would be comically tough. Eventually their hot streak would end and I seriously doubt we would lose a 7 game postseason series to that team. If we did lose to them I would be more mad at how pathetic the Brewers had to play to even allow that to happen. If you took team names away and just showed stats. I bet many would want to play the Cardinals. We arguably have a better offense, a better rotation, and a better bullpen. Cool hot streak, but reality would likely set in before we ever got a chance to play them.
  17. Thanks, I didn't see that on the email. I checked the site, but I didn't see it mentioned there. Glad they are at least warning people, the surprise lock out was a very unwise decision.
  18. https://www.mlb.com/brewers/tickets/postseason?partnerId=it-2899914-7549-3973741 Hasn't been posted yet so I figure I will drop this here incase anyone didn't see it. This pre-sale format does appear to be different than years past...at least for the NLDS. It appears more simplified and less pre-sales. I imagine this same format will follow the entire postseason. 1) Season Seat Holder presale starts tomorrow (9/22 10am). Years past this was broken down so full season and half season ticket holders got in before 20 game plans. Appears they will all be lumped together this time. 2) 10-game pack holders will have a pre-sale starting 9/24 starting at 10am. 3) Wisconsin resident pre-sale will start 9/27 at 10am. If you are going to participate in this pre-sale you must have a Wisconsin billing address. It also states you will need a password emailed to you, so if you don't have previous ticket purchases on your account from a Wisconsin billing address you might want to call ahead of time to confirm your account is set up to get into the sale. 4) They do not list a general on-sale date for non Wisconsin residents. If you don't recall from 2018 or were not a season seat holder back then please be aware you SHOULD NOT buy tickets during these pre-sales and then sell them. People made this mistake in 2018 and got locked out of buying NLCS tickets..it was a mess and the Brewers didn't warn people. They didn't seem to care if you sold your post season strip, for what it is worth. The Brewers NLDS games will 99% likely be the following: Friday, October 8th (Game 1) Saturday, October 9th (Game 2) Thursday, October 14th (Game 5, if needed)
  19. Orlando Arcia would 100% be offered one, teams pretty much offer rings to everyone that was on the team at any point in the year. The likes of Zach Godley, Jordan Zimmerman, and John Axford would likely be offered rings too. Of course a player can decline if they so choose. Probably easier to just offer it to everyone versus trying to decide what constitutes worthy of a ring. Wouldn’t it almost be embarrassing to have a ring if you made a token appearance for a team and did nothing to even help them win a game? Or like Sal Romano whose only contribution was negative. Probably and many players very well may decline rings in such instances. Of course they could always take it and then sell it if their career is that lowly and $15k is a lot of money to them. Dan Uggla is always a popular example. He was absolutely worthless in four games for the Giants and got a 2014 ring. For a team that just won a World Series spending an extra $250k on rings isn’t the biggest deal in the world. The 2018 Astros gave out a staggering 1,300 rings.
  20. Brewers looked well primed to be the first division clincher, but the White Sox may end up taking that crown. They will have a chance to clinch tomorrow with their #2 magic number.
