  1. I used to drive that stretch as it was the fastest route for me to go to Madison/Illinois. Eventually I decided to just go via I-39 as it was only 10-15 minutes longer. Now I-39 just makes sense all around. That stretch by Tomah/Dells is comical in the summer and can be an absolute disaster on Sunday's when the 'up north' traffic and the people leaving the Dells collide. It can end up a stand still backed up for miles. I assumed years ago they would expand it to more lanes in that stretch as it is a massive problem. Last I checked they aren't right now and canceled a study for it years ago. Can't say I care anymore though.
  2. Corbin Burnes has been babied all year, others have not. It isn't just less innings, it is the fact he has gotten extra rest to stay sharp. You can argue Burnes has still provided more value despite the less innings, a fair argument, but most voters probably won't care too much. His COVID illness could also complicate things. A) not only was he not pitching, but didn't it cause other positive tests around him? If voters assume he wasn't vaccinated they could dock him for hurting his team based on that decision to not be vaccinated. Additionally, if a voter assumes he wasn't vaccinated, and that voter is very pro COVID vaccine, they could dock Burnes for that reason. Not trying to start an argument, just pointing out a potential wrinkle in the voting. I expect the vote might end up pretty close and minor voting decisions could be the deciding factor.
  3. We have only hit for the team cycle once in our history?
  4. Honestly, I don’t see a reason to trade Hader. It isn’t like he is our one opportunity to restock the farm. If you are determined to restock the farm, play through Hader’s entire deal, and then look to trade someone (or more than one). After Hader’s final year you would have Woodruff/Burnes/Adames/Houser/Lauer all with one year left. Glad I am not Stearns, he will have a lot of tough decisions come 2023/2024. If you are all about long term competing I could see trying to lock up Burnes/Adames. Then trade off Hader/Woodruff after 2022/2023. That keeps a solid pitching core going forward and a big bat. I just don’t know if A) they could afford to do it and B) have money to fill other holes even after. You’d really need to depend on our prospects working out.
  5. Not a single team in the WC race has a winning record in their last 10 games. None of them are on a winning streak. The Padres are the “hot” team going 5-5 in their last ten….however they are the only team on a losing streak.
  6. Giannis isn't going anywhere. He just bought a stake in the Brewers he loves this city so much. Totally disagree with your first take as well. Didn’t say he was anytime soon. Well, from all account it sounds like a young drunk fest. Everyone I knew that ended up in the district probably watched zero Bucks games before maybe 2-3 years ago. Hard to not say that was not largely a fair weather fan get together. Let me know when the Bucks have fans in bad years and rebuilding. Maybe Giannis keeps them relevent long enough to build a lifelong core…but I am not convinced.
  7. I would say much, much more the former than the latter. I would be interested to know how much lower their ticket sales were before the season started than they are in a normal year when people from out of town are planning trips and groups are planning outings to games. I think season ticket sales were up, shockingly. Surprising with how poorly the COVID fiasco went and many we pretty ticked
  8. We really comparing the Bucks to the Brewers? Lol All the people outside were just there to get drunk and be trendy. Once Giannis is gone and the Bucks are back to being irrelevant no one will care about them. Heck, if they don’t make another finals it will only take a couple years. One of the biggest moments in franchise history and people are trying to be negative and flex weird takes
  9. That was a flashback to Matt Ryan in the 2010 NFC Divisional round before the half
  10. The Brewers are 10th in attendance…that is pretty typical for them in their good years. 7th to 10th.
  11. So the game is over and we have a chance to maybe see Mertz do something outside of handing the ball off…but we take him out of the game? Why not run some more daring stuff with Mertz and see what he does?
  12. The division is over. The Brewers know that. It has nothing to do with pulling Burnes.
  13. Why would he even go for the 8th if he had zero chance for the 9th? For the record…I would have never sent him for the 8th, it just seems strange though. We better get Hader.
  14. He is flat out at too many pitches already. Why throw him out there? How would he ever finish the 9th? 125+ pitches…idk, not worth it for a no hitter.
  15. Put a few patches on them and you'd swear he was working a pit crew for NASCAR. It’s just all the greater because their coach totally doesn’t look like a football coach and really looks like some guy who would work on your car.
  16. Lol PC…run run run run run….annnnnd turnover on downs.
  17. Mertz just can’t do anything right…figure out how to handle the ball off. Jeez man. And why is Eastern Michigan coached by a bunch of mechanics?
  18. I guess it doesn’t matter to me that much. We should beat either the Reds or Padres. As mentioned the Reds are way better if we can play them. However, the odds they win the WC game and then take down the Giants or the Dodgers is kind of an ‘LOL’ thought. Padres are a less attractive opponent for us, but they also have a better chance to take down the Giants or Dodgers…on paper. I will go with the Reds, I guess…then hope their offense explodes in one game against the Dodgers.
  19. It is kind of amazing on September 10th we are just coasting to a divisional championship. Not only that, but hosting an NLDS series. Just crazy times. I recall the 2011 team coasting for the most part….but on this same day the Brewers were in the midst of a 5 game losing streak and the Cardinals in a 4 game winning streak. The lead was still 6 games, but stress levels were high for the situation. The most the Brewers have won their division is 6 games, in 2011. They are currently over double that. Every other time was like by a game.
  20. I love BA, but I can't lie, I have gotten a little annoyed on how much he is gone. Not annoyed like I want someone new...just bummed when he isn't on. I wish they could find a consistent #2 for the whole year, but understandable they can't. Who wants to be a part time guy in such a major role? Doesn't make a lot of sense. I thought Lepay was absolute garbage when he first started, but he has gotten used to baseball that he isn't too bad. I like him occasionally for the over the top homerism. I used to hate Rock when I first started watching games a ton, but I have grown to accept that he isn't a bad color guy. Former Brewer, gives you the homer talk, and hates the rivals like fans. I just wish he would shut up about how bad of a catcher he was. I think some may regret their hate when he retires, it could be a lot worse. Same for BA...its like some haven't ever watched an away feed or a non Brewers game. There is some hot garbage doing PxP.
  21. I mean, at some point they are in the rearview mirror. Kind of why Mike McCarthy was well overdue to be punted. Not saying that is the case here, but eventually you can't be dwelling on the past.
  22. One notable thing about PC, he only has three wins against Michigan/Ohio State/Penn State. All three wins came against Michigan. Of course all three of those years Michigan didn't even end up ranked. The two times Michigan was a decent team the Badgers lost to them.
