  1. Doesn’t seem overly frivolous...a lot that is alleged certainly could make the club liable for his injuries etc.
  2. How did the Broncos manage to have all those guys be close contacts? Is the practice squad guy suppose to be on a different planet, basically? I mean at least one of the QBs...wow. Broncos actually wanted to start one of their assistant coaches as they felt he would run the offense best...NFL wouldn’t allow it.
  3. I’d keep Narvaez. Pina is coming off injury and his ceiling isn’t all that high anyway. I’d roll the dice on Narvaez bouncing back and being at least as good and probably notably better than Pina.
  4. I guess that is one way to try and make some relevance out of a zero win season.
  5. Is there a general consensus on which is better, Hulu TV or YouTube TV? It was obviously Hulu before, but now that it doesn’t have FSWI that isn’t much of a scale tipper anymore. Both are going to be the same price come next month...actually Hulu may be slightly more with DVR after the increase. Seems like YouTube TV has the better line up.
  6. Legally speaking....I believe the only way is to go through an auction house of some sort who can legally sell them. Maybe you can work through a liquor store for them to sell the bottles and take a cut, but not sure on that.
  7. I am guessing his injury will keep him out the remainder of the year and that is a big portion of why he is just opting to declare now.
  8. Hiura would know a thing or two about that first hand.
  9. There are a number of issues with this. 1) It functions like a regressive tax, a tax on poverty. Obesity strongly correlates with economic level. 2) The burden of such of policy would be disproportionally felt by minority communities. 3) It disincentives people from seeing health care providers. Gain 10lbs over the last year? Maybe you skip this year's Dr appointment so you don't have to weigh in. 4) It gives your employer access to your health information (assuming you're talking about employee health insurance). There are a ton of reasons why your employer should not have your health info which I don't think I need to detail, but one additional problem is that it forces all employers to maintain HIPPA complaint record keeping, which is no small task. 5) It seems unlikely to actually work to me. I'm no expert in obesity, but anecdotally the few obese people I've chatted with about their weight badly wanted to lose weight. Their issue was not solely motivation. My first thought was the people making claims are typically older and much so once you get close to retirement age. If we started trying to skew premiums towards those higher risk groups you would create an even bigger problem with older people being able to afford healthcare. People should just think of higher premiums at a younger age as prepayment for their later years. Skewing those payments towards later years would require people to acknowledge that and plan for it...I don't have confidence in people doing that. Additionally, everything you stated I tend to agree with. I think all you would do is create a bigger need for government assistance with healthcare and I don't think that is benefitting the people needing it or anyone else.
  10. Why have him waste time trying to be below average at fielding? No need to sugar coat it, Hirua is never going to be average at fielding. Why let it get in his head on the offensive side of the ball? He could be a real solid bat if he can figure it out. Problem is that bat was about as useful as a pool noodle for the majority of the year. There probably isn't a player in baseball that is more a more obvious future DH. Unfortunately we don't have a decent 2B replacement option. If Luis Urias would have been even remotely competent last year I bet this would be a done deal and Urias would take over 2B. As we know Urias was far from decent.
  11. That was the worst decision I've seen in a longgggg time. First, you're on your own 24. It's not 4th and 1, it's 4th and 10! Then the play itself was horrible. Long developing double reverse 15 yards behind LOS. Wow. There was actually someone massively wide open on that fake punt...though it didn't look like there was any intention to try a pass there.
  12. Only thing that could possibly save him is the fact his QB got whacked early in the season. Of course they still do trick plays that causes their current QB to run downfield and get his world rocked trying to catch a pass. I thought McCarthy sucked at the end of his GB tenure, but wow...his Dallas days may be even worse. Yesterday should be a prime example of how not to coach a football game.
  13. McCarthy just fake punted on his own 24 yard line on 4th and 10. -1 yard gain EDIT: 23 yard touchdown run, Dallas now down 27-16 in the 4th. What on earth is McCarthy thinking today.
  14. Mike McCarthy went for it on his own 34 yard line in a 10-10 game with halftime about 5 minutes away. Instead of a QB sneak or running in general (like a foot for a first down) he opted for an outside pass that was not completed. It failed and to make matters worse there was a 15 yard penalty on Dallas to set up the Redskins on the 19 yard line. The Redskins then scored a touchdown. When a similar situation came up shortly after he called a QB sneak and they easily converted. McCarthy in Dallas has not made me miss him one bit.
  15. LOL I do that too, however, if everyone does that, then there seems to be no actual safer place on a door that no one ever touches. Let’s be honest...people too lazy to wash their hands aren’t going out of their way to not push/pull anywhere other than the typical spot. At least you are sharing the same spot on the door with other hand washers.
  16. All I am getting out of this is I should just stop washing my hands after going to the bathroom too. Let nature take its course. Though I am not going to lie, sometimes I wonder if it is cleaner (in a public bathroom) to use a urinal, skip washing your hands, and kick the door on the way out. Especially true when you have to touch the faucet handles and paper towel dispenser. The worst is that dang door on the way out...all those people touching it when they don't wash their hands. I actually always use my foot on the way out or will push the door open using a non typical spot where no one really touches it.
  17. I doubt creating something to just air the Brewers is more lucrative than being apart of FSWI. Seems hard to believe.
  18. There better be major improvement at 2B/LF/3B or we are doomed. I don't see much change at the other positions. We may see some improvement at something like C and DH, but I would safely expect SS to see some notable regression and RF probably regresses a bit too. The offense depends on major bounce backs from Yelich/Hiura to give the offense something special in the middle...also can't afford a massive black hole like 3B again. That is where we have the opportunity to greatly improve on 2020. The bad news is we aren't going to change this offense much externally (unless we make a trade). Unless Stearns gets lucky we aren't going to bring in some cheap trash heap scrub to be a 120 OPS+ player.
  19. One Call That's All! Park And the stadium name doesn't go on the front. Just a massive picture of Gruber.
  20. Yah, you can definitely fault him. What happened after is golden example of why it made no sense. They got NW to go 3 and out in a 1:06! Fantastic! Problem is you are back to the same garbage field position. The Badgers then took 2:43 to score nothing. Game is over. Of course let’s just pretend they got the 4th down conversion...how much longer would it have taken to find the end zone? There was barely 2 minutes on the clock and we still had 30 yards to go. I’m guessing best case we would have had 40 seconds or so to kick an onside kick, recover, and gain a ton of yards just so our terrible kicker could maybe tie the game. They didn’t have time to punt the ball and have NW go 3 and out in a minute. They need every single second for their offense to score 10 points.
  21. Bucks are lucky Giannis is a modest lowkey guy. Not sure a more typical guy in his position would sign the super max deal with the Bucks.
  22. The deal is for 15 years...so no, probably won't change in 5 years.
  23. AstraZeneca is not mRNA I believe...I think it is more traditional in nature, but I won't pretend I am a huge expert in vaccines. I also don't think the attitude is people don't think they will get it...I think people just aren't concerned if they do.
  24. How would a team even go to streaming services without Fox (or any other channel affiliation)? Wouldn't they essentially have to create their own TV channel and infrastructure to televise the games then?
  25. The gold always looked great with the green/brick exterior. Was it gold before due to the gold in the old uniforms or because of Miller? Sad to see that go...it doesn’t look bad, but the gold on green was a better combo. Hard to really complain though seeing as American Family left out insurance and at least went with our teams color scheme.
