  1. I mean college campuses do this in their fieldhouses alllll the time. I would think we could figure it out don't you think?
  2. For all the crap we get for being so bad the Nationals have been to the postseason 4/7 years before 2019. All of those years they won 95+ and won their division. They have not won the NLDS once...ONCE. 3/4 were Game 5 losses. They have won 7 postseason games since 2012 (when their success started). We won 6 games last year alone. If we backed it up a year we have won 11. Mind you they had a similar run of pathetic baseball much like us (1982 to 2012).
  3. Watching Ohio State play this offense better find some magic in the next three weeks or they are going to get embarrassed. As much as I like this defense it probably isn't going to stop that offense from putting up lots of points. I would guess Wisconsin's best chance at winning that game is by long drives and trying to limit overall possessions in the game. I don't think there is much of a chance to a low scoring affair and I really doubt a shootout would end well for us. I hope they find some creativity because, like others, I thought it has really faded from the start of the season...that will probably help them trying to upset Ohio State. BUT they have a big game against Michigan State they have to worry about first.
  4. I've read that Corbin is available out of the bullpen if needed. I would imagine if it got to extras or something. Can't have all your guys be throwing a bunch of innings when the NLDS starts after a single off day. Unless he were to pitch a single inning.
  5. If the Brewers win Tuesday, and proceed to go on a run, it is far from a miracle. It's just baseball. And saying that it would take a miracle and calling that a fact is somewhat contradictory, and comes off as a little combative in my opinion. You are more than entitled to your opinion on why you feel this team has the odds stacked against it in the playoffs, but I certainly understand why people read what you said and found it to be defeatist. . Shoot, at that point I thought it became a baseball-football hybrid.
  6. Yah not sure what is going on here. I wasn't even claiming to say they were going to lose or that I was prepping with zero expectations for Tuesday. Now everyone is acting like I was claiming to be "the smartest in the room". For the record I was arguably one of if not the most optimistic person here when Yelich went down. Pointing out he was only one person and we already had a better record without him anyway. On paper it sucked, but small samples it can look like he wasn't even a help. I don't think it is wrong to say it would take an absolute miracle for this team to make a run and/or make a World Series appearance....sorry that is just a fact. They are injured and their roster isn't really that good as is, at least not compared to other teams still playing. It will be a team that is largely disadvantaged for at least the one game playoff and the NLDS. I think the NLCS would be a little more of a crapshoot because I don't think Braves/Cards are that great. World Series would likely be a bad match up with another elite team (like the Dodgers). I thought they could go on a run without Yelich and they could do the same in the postseason...though they will actually have to play good teams now. So they might want to play a little better than they did the last three games. Pretty sure I can still be honest and say they are at a massive disadvantage while still cheering for them though.
  7. Honestly the Brewers are a terrible fit for being in a WC situation. They rely heavily on the bullpen and their premium guys pitching well. If they make it past the WC game they likely don’t have Hader/Pomeranz/Woodruff/Suter for the first two games of the NLDS. For that reason I don’t think they match up well with the Dodgers. They will be hugely disadvantaged after bullpening their way to a WC win against a team exponentially better than them. They really needed to start the NLDS fresh to have a good chance for postseason success in my opinion (and on paper). Maybe they could pitch Game 2 (for anyone going multiple innings), but that’s pressing your luck and their effectiveness could be quite questionable. It’s baseball, it is random...but this team simply is not set up for a run deep into the postseason. Real bummed after they choked in the Rockies series. Hopefully they can end on a high note and not find themselves done after Tuesday. Not saying they will lose Tuesday or can’t make a run (any team can), but it would be quite a miracle.
  8. I don’t get the concern of throwing guys today. They will get rest Monday before Tuesday. I’m sure they all could pitch two innings on Tuesday too if they wanted. I’d rather go for the win today as long as the Cards look like they could lose. Sure, we may not have much available for a potential Game 163, but so what. It’s another opportunity to make it to the NLDS and if the Cubs B squad beats the Cardinals our B squad of pitchers can too. Only guy I would not play is Woodruff because that would certainly effect his use for Tuesday. In Game 163 I am also likely to save Woodruff unless late in the game and We have a lead. And of course I’m not throwing an BP arm more than an inning today.
  9. Come on guys. The Cardinals have now lost twice to the B squad Cubs. That’s probably worse than our losses. I wonder if they are packing it in tomorrow and just hope we will lose? Doubtful. It is two games...the results are as predictable as the last four played the last two days. Not what you expected.
  10. Can you imagine the Cubs winning the first two games in STL and us choking against a 90+ loss team? Sad just sad Brewers. Figure it out.
  11. He stepped into the lane before getting the ball. Pretty simple. The throw didn’t cause him into the lane. He casually stepped there to block him before getting the ball. That is the rule.
  12. 100% agree! This is what it's all about. I can't believe this is actually bothering someone. It was mostly a joke about 4 people saying 8-5, chill.
  13. Guys we all have internet, I don’t think we need half a dozen people giving us a play by play of the Cards/Cubs game.
