  1. PItchers aren't allowed to wear the white hats, from what the announcers are saying. But they are allowed to wear snow white jerseys and pants... The pitcher doesn’t typically pitch it between his legs.
  2. Did you just arrive? Pitcher can’t wear white on the head, glove, or the arms. Thus, improvise by the league.
  3. Eh, I don’t think so. I think almost any manager would still let a pitcher run it up to 115 or so...per usual. No manager is going to do it when you are at 100 after 6 innings not before and not now. But you never see pitch counts get that high anymore. If you have even one laborious inning you have no shot to complete the game. In general, yes...if you had a no-hitter going I don’t think it would be the same.
  4. Every single person at that stadium judging by the reaction and almost everyone in this thread and almost anyone else I am sure. I think people would love to see it. Everyone was talking about it were they not?

  6. Must be interesting to manage a competing team up 6-0 with a chance at a combined no-hitter. Would make some intriguing bullpen decisions if it lasted.
  7. That’s fine. I have seen dozens of outings way better than this that include hits and even a run or two. Like I said he is pitching good, but not usually what would deem no-hit status.
  8. Yeah, maybe they let him come out for the 7th, but that's it. At 100+, little chance And he is pitching well...but not that great. Lots of hanger curves and curves that do nothing ending 10 feet off the plate. He has done his part, but the D Backs are definitely doing their part to have zero hits.
  9. Not to pick sides, but Counsell said like three words tops in a soft voice like you would talk to a toddler.
  10. Plus, your pitcher is throwing a no-no and your CF is your best defender...'twould be a shame if that comes back to haunt Lyles/CC What exactly was CC going to do, ask for a review on the ejection?
  11. It made no sense. Worst case Lyles strikes out and the top of the order has a chance with the bases loaded. Instead he sends Braun into an almost sure out and then has a near dead duck in Lyles to make out 3...then the line up turns over with empty bases the next inning. That is the likely outcome Sedar had. That didn’t take a perfect throw either. Anything remotely close and Braun is almost surely out...not a deep throw either.
  12. I mean do we really have to look further than our own pitchers? They cannot put down a bunt to save their lives of any sort. Let alone, as stoutdude points out, aim it down the line and hard enough to get past the pitcher. Aiming a bunt down the line is very hard and you pretty much need a fastball to get it down and far enough.
  13. Was the Ryan Braun time machine a one use thing...or can someone else use it too?
