  1. Christian Yelich is MIP by a mile then. If we don’t get him it is very likely Brinson or Phillips was roaming the OF.
  2. Lol the NFL confirmed the Matthews hit was a penalty. I will just assume they don’t want to admit it. Definitely not going out of my way to turn football on anymore. Maybe catch some of the Packers games, but anyone else? No thanks...won’t support this trash. I have better ways to waste my life. Unfortunately I agreed to do a $50 league this year so I have to pay attention enough where I don’t feel like I am flushing that money down the toilet.
  3. If you think that was a penalty, even after the fact, you don't know the rules. Which is fine because neither does the NFL or the Nfl'S Refs.
  4. Problem is if that happens and we are still within 3 games of the division you can't really sit them. You have a for sure off day on Monday, barring some tie break game of course, everyone should be fully rested and ready to go. Especially if just Sunday is a day to rest them all. That's at least 2 full days off for all, 3 or more for others. If you go too far beyond that you're into the much hated rust area that so many folks here expressed hatred for during that Marlins series. Right. Baring something amazing (or terrible) we shouldn't have anything to play for the last day either. That is two days rest.
  5. Cubs go 1-2 vs. the D Backs and we sweep the Reds we are suddenly .5 back with 9 to play. It is not that hard to fathom getting back into it. That is a very possible scenario. Then you are either one back on Friday or the division is tied...
  6. Problem is if that happens and we are still within 3 games of the division you can't really sit them.
  7. I liked this trade because there was such little risk on our end. The only way I think for us to have lost this trade is if Lewis Brinson pulled a Ryan Braun and just decided to be an instant AS type player. That would have looked pretty miserable on our end. We made the trade because we knew we were going to have a great roster the next 3-5 years. It seems pretty obvious none of the players we traded will be making an impact anytime soon...if ever. We traded 3 huge risk high reward bats for one already at a AS production level. Since he is controllable 5 years that pretty much allows one of those guys to be incredible and we shouldn't even care. They are lucky if that happens...before the trade and especially now.
  8. Good job Zebras, solid win today. But as the announcers say this isn’t a big deal, it will get figured out over the course of the season. No, it won’t. They have created a stupid judgement rule that is going to look way worse than it is more often than not. This won’t get figured out and even if it does the Packers just lost arguably the biggest game of their season. Tie or not that’s a robbed win. Absolute garbage. Nothing like a tie lol....wowowowowo. Good job NFL
  9. I wish I found it as funny as Williams did.
  10. I honestly can’t wait till Rodgers retires and I can stop caring about the NFL. It’s a bunch of garbage every week, the players are full of themselves, owners are a bunch of jokes, refs suck, rules suck even after fixing them 15 years straight. I mean my god. Politics are even starting to leak into it constantly. Gag, has to be better entertainment to watch.
  11. What a trash call. Sick of the flag football.
  12. Two absolutely killer drops by him.
  13. It was, but then King went out. That was a direct effect of having House in there. How is Jackson not above House is my question. Must like the Vet.
  14. It was, but then King went out. That was a direct effect of having House in there.
  15. Yah I wouldn’t be shocked if a lot of fans started selling their tickets early after last Sunday because of Rodgers. Who wants to watch a Kizer led team? Let’s be honest...no one. Ticket prices plummet if Rodgers is announced as out. Wise to avoid that risk and sell them early before anything is set in stone. Vikings certainly don’t care if Rodgers plays.
  16. Yup, we should be by midfield still driving...instead...bunting inside our ten. That kind of stuff just isn’t acceptable.
  17. Day off after the regular season. Five days to cover three games plus an off day in the middle of the series & another off day after its over. The one seed division winner has now had six days off to accumulate rust while the team they will be playing has stayed sharp playing in & winning meaningful games. Almost sounds like a DISadvantage to me. Also, how do you set up the three game series? Does the better WC play the first two games at home then have to win on the road in game three? Doesn't seem fair the lesser WC should host the deciding game. All those days off has ended up feeling like a disadvantage for many teams in history. In MLB and in the NFL.
  18. This is why it is good, because now you actually want to win your division rather than making the playoffs on the same level as all the other division winners. It is also good because if you use your ace they very likely will not get 2 starts in the next round, a big disadvantage compared to the division winner you have to play. If it was a 3 game series with the off days you could start your ace in game 1 of the wildcard series and game 1 of the div series I think you want to win your division regardless. There has to be a better answer to have 5 teams and not have one of them go out after one single crapshoot game and another having a huge disadvantage in the next round. I think a 3 game series would be solid.
  19. I think any key after a huge momentum swinging TD is to give your opponent the best possible chance to swing it right back. Or at least that is what the Packers were trying to do by giving them a returnable kickoff.
  20. Why do we love to waste timeouts on 3 and 17 trying to get them to jump offsides. We were going to dump it off for a nothing burger anyway. Talk about stupid.
  21. You just recommended contraction...don’t think I can find a bigger pipe dream. More like we win the World Series for the rest of time.
  22. Has anyone in MLB history made their debut in the playoffs? Yes, that little guy with the Royals. Mondesi...even crazier it was the World Series. 2015 if you want to look it up. K vs. Syndergaard
  23. Sorry if you don’t like my opinion.
  24. Except he was literally standing on the plate. I predict nothing will come of this. Right, he was trying to show up Frazier or make some statement for umpires.
  25. Two wrongd don’t make a right and Hallion is really making himself look bad these days. Looks terrible when you seem to have a beef with a player and might come off as bias against him. I’d assume this was to make sure he touched home and didn’t “trick” him like Frazier did to an umpire with the ball trick. I didn’t hear about his little ball trick until this happened. What a pathetic baseball player honestly. To fall into the stands and pick up a rubber baseball is sad. Good way to ruin the game and ruin umpires trust when a player goes to make a great catch in the seats. Crud like that is going to make umpires call off any catch if the glove disappears even for a second.
