  1. Yah I don’t care about the QO stat on this team. Many many times they are pulled just because the pen is so good.
  2. Lutz, Ray, and Turang seem like pretty safe bets. Brown I would guess should be there or close. Ortiz and Erceg maybe. Putting together multiple not so promising years though. Diplan, Medeiros, and Gray probably not. Diplan hasn’t been all that impressive, Medeiros might be working his way back to that kind of ranking, and Gray probably just doesn’t fit that mold yet.
  3. Did I ever say you should care? Did I ever say it was a big deal either way? Did I say the world was burning? Did I ever say it could be controlled or it wouldn’t happen elsewhere exactly the same? NO All I said was a standing ovation brought absolutely nothing positive to anyone or anything. However it did create some negative thoughts among people and brought negativity towards our organization. It was pointless, that’s all I’m saying. It would have been better to not happen at all. You don’t need to tell me the amount of people offended is low etc. etc. and how it isn’t a big deal. I’m not arguing that. One person getting upset over it is too much because no one was going to be upset if everyone sat there like they normally do.
  4. I don’t know your definition of selling the farm, but Realmuto is going to be as costly as it can possibly get. Hiura + other strong pieces.
  5. It’s hard to make trades early even if you want to. Teams usually refuse to trade early unless an obvious overpay.
  6. HRs and RBIs? I’m pretty sure Chris Carter is somewhere around here!
  7. Prior to today Brewers starting pitchers were 13th in FIP based WAR & 7th in runs allowed based WAR. Their struggles have been overstated, especially considering they were projected around the 20th best rotation prior to the season. Yah, the rotation isn’t bad. With a good offense it can win a lot of games. We will see what Wade Miley has, but that could be a nice improvement over Suter.
  8. Here’s my thing: No standing ovation = Nothing to gain, nothing to lose. Standing ovation = Nothing to gain, something to lose. It’s just pointless to do and all it did was stir the pot a bit. Not everyone understands it was to show forgiveness, it wasn’t obvious. Go look at Twitter...the reaction outside of Milwaukee was pretty terrible. Even off of Twitter I’m sure people were taking it the wrong way outside of Milwaukee.
  9. Well we option him when we acquired him and BR says a tad over 4 years service time.
  10. Well Brad Miller can be optioned to AAA...that would probably play a massive role in who to keep. It also doesn’t help Miller has been pretty terrible so far for us (lower OPS+ than Villar). Next: For me it is a toss up between Perez and Villar. They seem comfortable with Aguilar playing some 3B so that could make Perez unneeded to cover third when a lefty pitches (sitting Shaw). I’d probably prefer Villar’s bat at that point and then that allows us to hold onto him until the offseason where we can probably get some kind of trade to move him. Then we don’t just lose him outright.
  11. Jesus...I realize Whit Merrifield’s value...but a Top 15 guy? Merrifield has put up great stats the last two years, but he isn’t a super special bat. I don’t see a team giving up a can’t miss prospect for him. I find it much more believable they get a lesser centerpiece, but with better secondary pieces. That’s the price of versatility and control I guess. I will say I find it funny, as a whole, the forum gets highly offended if you question Aguilar and mention regression. However Merrifield is what he has been his entire career. All his worse stats and anytime a stat was higher it is a fluke. Weird how that works. Regardless I’m not giving up Keston Hiura in a deal for Whit Merrifield. I think Merrifield will be a really nice player going forward, but there isn’t a track record there to make me super comfortable. He also has not had consistent stats his two good year so far. Last year the power was there...now it isn’t. Now the OBP skills are there...and last year they weren’t. That’s hard to trust and give up a premium prospect for. Especially one that will be ready next year and plays the same exact position.
  12. Should get that guy practicing his bunting skills. He lacks enough power, but has enough speed where bunting to keep the shift off of him might be a great idea. Cause those ground balls to the right side are pretty brutal. The Home/Road splits don’t really bother me. He can do that at the MLB level for all I care too. Miller Park will cater to his RF power thus it should translate to the MLB level pretty well.
  13. Josh I’m just curious why you ended up deciding Cain was the guy he is trying to copy...seems random without any kind of explanation as to why. He most closely mirrors Junior Guerra or Chase Anderson.
  14. I have to wondering at what point during a bad stretch and just terrible offensive output do players start to get annoyed with getting help from the same guy who hasn’t helped them the entire time. It might be time to just get a fresh face in there to help them. I doubt Coles is beloved among the players.
  15. MLB.com lists every single game today as FREE! Go watch the streaking Brewers you out-of-marketers!
  16. Funny enough if there was no standing ovation the Hader crud would never have even been mentioned in the IGT. Brewers fans giving a standing ovation were making it a big deal. I’m in favor of dropping the entire thing completely and acting like it never happened. Don’t see why you should be upset with me.
  17. I was never worried. Knebel is ice cold in his veins. *sets down oxygen mask*
  18. I’m just accepting Counsell will never learn. I have given up.
  19. All giving him a standing ovation did was create a solid avenue of more railing of Josh Hader by other fan bases and a bunch of articles/posts from popular people everywhere. If one wanted to support Hader and make things better/easier for him doing nothing would have been the best avenue in my opinion. We make a big deal about it and everyone else will. All I am saying is a standing ovation just keeps the whole thing going and Hader probably would like everyone to just drop the topic positively and negatively. Get back to just pitching well, getting strikeouts, and conditioning his hair.
  20. I would be giving that FREE American a standing ovation if I were at the game. Isn't politics fun? ....? What?
  21. Which was nice to see after his terrible All Star appearance (during the game...pitching).
  22. We will definitely revisit the Hader debate during the first time he appears in a road game I hope it dies down faster than the Braun stuff...or else it might be brought up weekly.
  23. That’s really where I was going with it. Seems like a solid hot-take about how we were jumping out of our seats for Hader after what happened. The negative viewed article potential is pretty high.
  24. Max Muncy..... Thank god for that extended netting.
  25. I’m on the outside, as is everyone else here pretty much. If a leader like Cain is over it and stands behind him, then I’m over it too. He knows him, is around him daily, and is a minority race that was directly affected by a comment. I’m good following his lead. Outside anything related to the Brewers. It just seemed really unnecessary. It’s meaningless in the grand scheme so I won’t argue about it. I support Hader too...but after seeing the tweets and some of the player’s thoughts I just didn’t care. I never imagined a standing ovation would ever be needed.
