  1. Lol if Arcia isn’t going to play defense he can go back to AAA
  2. I didn’t think there was a limit. Only the natural limit of you are going to claim a bunch of guys cause if you get them you are going to be shipping out lots of players.
  3. Jeez at this point Braun hardly plays, healthy or not. If they cared about Braun so much they probably already left. A healthy Braun that is actually producing consistently is pretty rare.
  4. A few things are a given here: -No team is dumb enough to claim Braun -No way we don’t laugh and let the claiming team have him. Mod edit: No reason to call out other posters like that
  5. Well...I don’t know about that. It’s suppose to take a month once he really pitches off a mound. So with every passing day is one day farther into September. It might take a little less if they just bullpen him...but regardless he is pretty much at where he needs to get pitching off the mound or he won’t make it to pitch this season.
  6. Except one of Shaw, Schoop, and Moose will be on the bench every day to start. This is such a curious move. Isn't that good to have those guys available on the bench? No, it would be better to have on at C...or SS assuming Schoop is not going to be at SS often. It’s an expensive price to pay for these guys when they find themselves on the bench so much.
  7. He walked into the Orioles clubhouse having zero idea he was traded. That was at 4pm ET...so I really doubt it. That would be a quick turnaround.
  8. We will see how he performs and how we use him. He has been really really REALLY good the last month. I can’t really hate or love this until we see how he is utilized and performs. This could end up being. Aphenominal trade.
  9. Ummm....can’t believe we didn’t get pitcher. We have both players of the week from last week on our offense now.
  10. Is this a move for future seasons when Shaw goes back to 3B maybe???
  11. I won’t hold my breath getting any Nationals player til lit happens. The price probably won’t be dirt cheap to pry someone away.
  12. The Marlins traded for a lot of high risk high reward guys. They knew what they were getting into.
  13. The starter market has been quiet because none of the guys are really TOR where you would rush to make a deal ASAP. Also none of them are pitching today or yesterday so no reason to squeeze in their start before the deadline. Most pitched 2-3 days ago. As I expected most of those starters weren’t going to be traded till today.
  14. If he is pitching they could easily work him up to a starter role if they really wanted to. I really don’t see why he could only go one inning at best. You make it sound like they are going to bring back a half injured Nelson. If he is healthy he can work up a workload. Not saying the Brewers will do that, but they could. When someone has only done light jogging after a knee replacement, you don't immediately ask them to run a marathon. They won’t bring him to the MLB level until he can throw 100%. At which point he would have multiple MiLB rehab appearances under his belt, where he could work up some stamina. If he can only pitch an inning he shouldn’t even be throwing a baseball at all.
  15. Sure, but it won’t happen. The price will be crazy...probably Machado level or even more expensive, we don’t really have a spot, and he hasn’t been very good this year. My interest level is a complete 0% to be honest. He's Bryce Harper..I bet if it were solely up to Mark A..he'd make sure the deal got done. He couldn't buy the kind of publicity the Brewers would get from acquiring Harper..not to mention every home game the rest of the year would be a sell out. If it worked that way Machado would be here.

  17. Hiura straight up for Harper.

  19. There is a reason teams don’t really use LED lights. I learned about it I’m a Sustainable Sport Management class. I can’t remember exactly why, but I think it had to do with how it translates the look to a TV broadcast. I thought some sport stadiums used them though.
  20. MLB hitters should be expected to hit things not right down the pipe. Pina slapped a ball a foot off the plate the end his AB. Pina can’t square a ball up to save his life. Hence why he ends up with so many long ABs all the time only to end in terrible Ks or soft contact. It is bad.
  21. Stearns should wrap up a trade for a catcher in the next 10 minutes or so.
  22. Well might as well change the channel. Pitcher is up at the plate.
