  1. Oh sorry to have hurt your feelings. If he didn't like my ballgame comment or you for that matter, it's a very simple ignore. It's an in game thread reaction to what very well could be the winning runs scored. But carry on with the complaining about the umps, or whoever else tonight. Some people on these boards are amazing what they will attempt to attack. Oh you didn't hurt my feelings. If anything I am sorry you have to get so negative over a one run deficit halfway through a game I very rarely mention the umps just so you know and fully support homeplate umps making strike/ball calls.
  2. You say this crap every time the Brewers are losing. That crap is base on the fact that they simply stop scoring after the 5th inning all season long. There's a reason they've never come back from a deficit after the 8th. They don't score. Don't take it out on me because the Brewers don't do their jobs very well. Honestly that kind of negativity is just not needed. It gets old. Almost as old as the people that have to mention every Garza start how much they hate him. We got it, thanks. The in game thread is not a make shift 2017 negativity thread. Is it hard to be just a little more positive? If you think it is probably ballgame just turn it off.
  3. haha the second he hit it I was like "bomb" then the camera switched to where it was going and I was like "fudge".
  4. When you hit a 450 foot lead off triple and score no runs in the inning. Wow.
  5. I don't think so to be honest. Would need a better replay to know for sure.
  6. Pina has been a pleasant surprise on both ends,
  7. Burnes' career-night not enough as Shuckers fall to BayBears in extras Corbin Burnes tossed a career-high eight two-hit innings on Monday By Biloxi Shuckers (Mark P Driscoll) Biloxi Shuckers Box Score Quick Summary: BILOXI, MS - The Biloxi Shuckers started their final homestand of the season with a tough loss on Monday night, getting a career-best start from Corbin Burnes but falling 1-0 to the Mobile BayBears in 12 innings. The home team outhit the BayBears 12-2 but committed four errors, including three in the 12th. The Shuckers have now played in a league-leading 22 extra-inning games, falling to 12-10 in such games. Biloxi loses ground to first-place Jacksonville, who beat the Birmingham Barons on Monday to maintain a half-game lead over Mobile in the South Division with 14 games to play. The Shuckers are 1.5 games back of first place. Burnes was terrific again, taking a no-hitter into the sixth inning and tossing a career-high 8.0 two-hit innings. 8. If that is going to get you bent out of shape might as well close your account down now. Stay around long enough and you will realize that wasn't very condescending. Also the mods around here hunt down condescending posts like it is their full time job. I'm kidding of course, but condescending stuff usually gets shot down real fast by the mods. That wasn't really condescending. Condescending - having or showing a feeling of patronizing superiority. Telling me the Giants even beat better team then the brewers sometimes isnt condescending??? Lol No need to defend the mod guys. I get it. He is a mod. Brownie points mean something. I actually didn't know he was even a mod until you mentioned it as I was just reading quotes. I don't even know what mod it was. This conspiracy against you doesn't exist man. Like I said if this is really offending you this much better prepare yourself.
  9. Even if you were using the bizarre argument that Garza is being replaced by the current #4 guy it still is the same massive upgrade. In the weird theory you are marginally improving every spot of the rotation on down. So instead of say 5 extra wins straight up replacing Garza with Kershaw you are getting an extra win for each spot in the rotation to equal 5 total.

  11. Wow homeplate umpiring has been just terrible this year.
  12. The Pirates are definitely out. That is kind of a given. You aren't going to leapfrog three teams in this short of a time frame. They would likely have to play way above .50" ball to even have a shot at it.
  13. I think both teams still play the Miami Stantons still.
  14. Where are all those people saying Neil Walker wouldn't make much of a difference?
  15. Are we putting sensors in the bases and gloves and cleats and the foul line to make sure we don't screw up a call there too? Why are we stopping at the strike zone? We have technology to know the ball beat the runner by a millisecond. Can we get that too? All these too close to call plays on the basepaths need to be fixed too. We have to know for sure. Why do we have to be so precise for a strike zone, but nothing else. I understand we want bad calls out, but do we really need to be correct to the centimeter for strike/ball calls? That's what bothers me about current replays. We want bad calls out. Not review everything that is close to see if maybe a lace on the glove brushed his jersey.
  16. Yup all these games against good opponents don't mean a certain outcome just like all those games against bad teams didn't mean we were going to win. Baseball is a long season of streaks. Time to hit a good streak and the opponents name with just be a group of letters.
  17. Early scoring outburst helps Shuckers clinch fourth straight series win Jake Gatewood smacked his first Double-A homer during a five-run second inning By Biloxi Shuckers Jake Gatewood hit his first Double-A home run in the second inning of Saturday's 7-2 win in Jackson, TN (Hunter Reed) Biloxi Shuckers Box Score Quick Summary: The Shuckers are winning series at the right time of the year as Saturday night's 7-3 win sealed their fourth straight series win. The offense exploded for all seven of their runs in the first two innings, thanks to poor fielding by the Generals, to jump out to a 7-0 lead. That was more than enough as the pitching was on their game Saturday. Jon Perrin went six strong innings giving up two runs and striking out seven batters. Josh Uhen and Jorge Lopez took care of the last three innings only allowing one hit combined. Jake Gatewood also hit his first AA homer Saturday night. Pitching Summary: On the mound, Jon Perrin (6.0 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 7 K) started the game while Josh Uhen (2.0 IP, H, 3K) and Jorge Lopez (1.0 IP) provided the relief. Hitting Summary: Angel Ortega (2-5, R, 2 R RBI) Jake Gatewood (2-4, R, 3 RBI, BB, HR) Gabriel Noriega (2-4, R, 2 2B, 2 RBI, BB) Biloxi Shuckers Game Log Jake Gatewood blasts his first AA homerun.
