  1. I guess I don't really see the problem with that play. The fact a perfect throw probably still doesn't get him. Not the best play all day
  2. We should have two in-game threads. One for all the complaining and one for everything else.
  3. Why? Then you have all the game threads overcrowding the MLB forum (and most games there is not much conversation going on in them - it only on page 3 for opening day in the 4th inning.) How hard is it to just click on the in-game thread forum. Typically they sit it atop the MLB forum. Not with everything else.
  4. Interesting to see what the crowd looks like. Seemed like a lot of tickets went unsold.
  5. Cardinals sign Molina to 3 year extension after competing consistently for 2 decades and have a great team still.] Brewers fail to sign Lucroy to extension after flirting with 100 loses for multiple years and have a bad team. What exactly is the comparison you are trying to draw here? Also feel free to wait for that extension to play out. Could end up being a massive overpay for an average at best catcher.
  6. And neither did Cravy. He said it out loud where media reporters heard him, and the media reporters published it; he didn't say it to Stearns. What if your friends or co-workers published your comments in the media? Come on now. What happens when a player says something to a reporter? They publish it publically where their boss will see it and it will be public. Also that is a silly hypothetical. A media reporters job is to publish things publically...not a friends job. Comparing a media reporter plublishing comments vs. a random friend publishing comments is wrong. I can't believe people feel bad for Cravy and think the Brewers actually did anything to him. There have been countless players being delayed their call-up costing them $20mil+ in the future that act more mature than Cravy. Also saying he lost out on $400k is probably false. It is likely he will be called up in the next 1-2months dramatically decreasing that figure. If he doesn't get called up then he probably didn't deserve to be on the opening day roster anyway.
  7. Do you have reporters standing next to you all day listening to - and publishing - everything you say? Didn't think so. Cravy didn't say it publicly, he said it out loud where reporters heard him and then the reporters published it publicly. Cravy didn't Tweet it, didn't post it on Facebook, didn't take out an ad in the paper and publish it - that's saying it publicly. Reporters published it, not him. Nope. What is your point though? He is an athlete and knows reporters will publically publish it. That is his fault and should use his head. If I had reporters asking me questions I probably wouldn't call out my employer saying they don't treat me like a human especially when such claim is outlandish.
  8. I don't openly complain about my boss so my boss can hear me. Cravy was making stupid comments that were irrational. He has every right to be upset, but he is assuming he had no chance to make the team and acted like he far outperformed everyone(also assuming that was how everything was decided...probably wasn't). I guess it just seems weird for him to be so upset. It isn't like he was a veteran spring training invite and they dumped him last second leaving him scrambling to find an MLB job. He was stuck with the Brewers regardless. He came in, worked hard, did well, and didn't do enough to make the team. Now go to AAA, perform, and wait for your turn just like dozens of other players. Calling out your organization and claiming they aren't treating you like a human because you thought you should have made the team and they didn't is just wrong. Is he out of options now? If so I can't wait till next spring. Then if he makes the team over someone who performed better we can see what he thinks of that.
  9. Maybe it was an open competition. Maybe he had to be be lights out all spring and other to literally implode? Comparing him to Milone is irrelevant. Milone is a lefty Cravy is not. Phil Hughes allows them to have more depth and is a ground ball pitcher for a team playing in Miller Park. If Cravy thinks so highly of himself go perform at AAA(which should be pretty easy for the guy so deserving of an MLB job) and then come up in a month. Then since he is so deserving he should perform here too and never see the minors again. Problem solved. As Stearns mentioned it won't be long before he finds himself back on the MLB roster this year. Step off the ledge Cravy. Never seen someone freak out over such a normal thing that happens every year to countless players.
  10. No, cant say I have ever ripped my current employer publically and sounded stupid to any other possible future employers like that. This happens every spring to many players across MLB. Grow up Cravy.
  11. Lol at the immature comments from the two fellows being cut at the very end. Sure they both had great stats, but they act like Jungmann was garbage all spring(he wasn't). Also if they think all decisions are based off of spring training stats they are pretty dumb. Go get that 9-5 job...tell me how that goes. Understand you are upset there, but making ridiculous comments is not helping your case.
  12. Why was it a disaster. That's what major custom projects cost these days. No old blueprint to follow. Just the planning and design phase probably costed a ton.
  13. Win: 5 games Lose: 7 games
  14. I was sad they didn't have spotted cow. However at those prices I guess it doesn't matter. Pretty sure you can still get the big brands for $7 though. So there is a positive.
