  1. Khris Davis trying too hard to try and keep the game 0-0. Should have just ate it and kept him to a single.
  2. No real way to fix the bleachers. To make them at field level only you would have to put the bullpens underneath(ehh I don't like that idea), take out Fridays completely, take out ATI Club completely, and possibly lose some seats. Unfortunately when it comes to a roofed stadium things have to be stacked if you want them all. Sure you would get your prime seats on the wall, but at what cost? That would be an incredible expense with no real gain. For the record I think 2nd deck outfield seats are a trillion times better. So much easier to watch the game from above way out there. Field level just makes it nearly impossible to follow the game. It would be cool to have something in that RF area since it is a gigantic area mostly unwalked, but that would mess with Miller Parks shape. I find it unlikely they would even flirt with messing with the fan shape and have something out from under the retractable roof.
  3. In other words, he'd be interested in the role that Melvin will be moving to this offseason. Which basically rules him out as a Melvin replacement. Why? Pretty sure he would be thrilled to replace Melvin and be the GM.
  4. Sadly that would be a pretty accurate package for Segura if you were looking for MLB pitching.
  5. I already explained the positives. If you failed to read my post before returning to your rant I apologize.
  6. What makes it work so well is the fact he is always getting it down in the zone. The whole time he has been in the bigs he has controlled his pitches and kept them down. With his frame it makes his stuff look a whole lot scarier and harder to hit. All those command issues in the minors have just evaporated into thin air.
  7. Why do you keep bringing up Davis' HR total like it is some kind of golden ticket? Khris Davis was injured for a large portion of the year...obviously his total HR numbers are going to be lower than a guy who has 130 more at bats. Khris Davis has a higher OPS than Moss...which is probably a better stat to go by. Brandon Moss has been worse than Davis overall this year and is 31...4 years older than Davis. While he is slightly versatile that doesn't make him worth an up and coming Top 100 prospect and Davis worth nothing.
  8. Khris Davis is not that bad defensively...he has a weak arm, but other than that he plays respectable defense. Everyone thinks he is bad because it is so easy to see a weak arm. However no one seems to care about the pathetic reaction time or routes Braun takes in RF. His defense overall is just as bad or worse as Davis'. Alright so getting past the overblown defense issue I really wouldn't put too much weight on his 2015 numbers. Not only has he been injured, but he also had to ride the bench for a while when Parra played. I am sure that doesn't help a guy not seeing much action for awhile. On the bright side he has shown a lot more patience at the plate this year so that is a good sign. He has provided average offense in a roller coaster year and has power in what is becoming a power starved league. Add that with a ton of control at a cheap price and you have an attractive player. Your assessment regarding Top 100 prospects seems really off to me. Since he wasn't a Top 100 prospect why should not he get one back? What?? That is just silly. You are also trying to compare a PROVEN MLB hitter to a bunch of guys that haven't even touched the bigs. Half those guys on that list will probably have worse careers than Davis. The amount of teams willing to sacrifice a back half Top 100 prospect for Khris Davis would be long. A power bat on the cheap for many years is well worth giving up a guy who has proven nothing. Khris Davis is worth a lot more than you think he is.
  9. If we trade Davis for that kind of return the man in charge should be fired. Khris Davis is worth at least one Top 100 type prospect at this point minimum.
  10. ANOTHER pathetic at bat with a man on third with one out for Segura. What worthless garbage.
  11. I think they gave up on him the last time he was demoted. He is just here out of need.
  12. .437 BABIP....no that isn't a typo. His ceiling is probably an average 4th OFer.
  13. I'm guessing this: C- Lucroy 1B- Rogers 2B- Gennett 3B- Dominguez SS- Sardinas LF- Davis(not going anywhere yet) CF- Reed RF- Braun I'm going out on a limb thinking the Brewers will stop wasting their time with Segura. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Braun shifted to 1B next season. I really don't see them moving Davis unless he has a nice 2 months...would be stupid to sell low on him so Santana can have a spot. I would just put Braun at first well before selling low on Davis. If Braun's future is really at first why wait?
  14. To go into detail he really isn't hitting his spots consistently, but is getting outs out of most of his mistakes. He also is having a hard time getting outs(99 pitches through 6 innings) and it feels he has gotten behind in a lot of counts, but that improved as the game went on. A bit of a grinder, but has stayed composed to get through it nicely. Helped that he was mixing pitches keeping hitters off balance. Good...but not Greinke good.
  15. Wow another first pitch out for Segura. What garbage...I'm starting to wonder if it isn't time for him to just go to the minors. I'd rather just put a guy up there who will foul off 5 pitches and strike out. That is more valuable than what Segura provides.
  16. Pretty sure the 59 year old doesn't want to come to a small market that is in some kind of rebuild. On a different note I wouldn't touch him with a 50ft. pole...though hard to gauge his success in Detroit when he was mostly a puppet in most big moves.
  17. True. But the reason nobody mentioned him is the thread is titled "2016 Rotation" Really? Because no other possible bullpen names were mentioned? Really? Pretty sure the other bullpen options were mentioned as possibilities to be in the rotation. You just mention him Knebel as a reliever.
  18. If there ever was a young pitcher to deal right this moment for a bat (IE the Cashner for Rizzo thing) its this guy. I think we've seen what he is, hopefully another organization won't have seen it yet. Pretty sure everyone in MLB has seen it. They aren't blind or stupid.
  19. Just about time for Jean Segura to become a utility player. His bat is garbage and might as well learn how to play the rest of the infield because that's what his future is.
  20. 3B will most likely be held down by Lara or Gatewood in the future. Before than it will either be a FA addition or scrubs holding down the fort.
  21. Davies has the 2016 #5 spot unless someone can prove other wise in the next two months. They acquired him to be that guy.
  22. Braun now has a full no trade clause...unless we can somehow move him in August. Once he gets that no trade clause I would really doubt he would waive it...and if he did it would be at a high cost(picking up the option year). Even if we can get past the no trade clause, the PED circus baggage, the fact he plays iffy OF defense, plays a not so premium position, he is injury prone, and the fact we would have to take on/eat money do you really see the Brewers making that kind of trade? We won't get a package like the Rockies got and I just can't see the Brewers throwing him away for what would look like peanuts to fans. Despite all that has happened Braun still has a massive following. Trading him would probably enrage A LOT of casual fans and disinterest them. I just think there are too many road blocks for a deal to ever materialize.
