  1. Parra could be on the move during the game.
  2. Astros Official, "Brewers did their homework." Astros think very highly of these 4 players.
  3. Might see Santana right away with Parra being traded. Will be a thin outfield.
  4. haha...and an hour or so ago everyone was losing their minds over Melvin's comments about not being sure if a trade will happen. Never take a GMs comments too seriously.
  5. Yup Astros just dump it right over here.(Apologizes for the uber large size) http://www.outcropacres.net/images/dt-dumping01.jpg
  6. International bonus slot. Not competitive balance pick. Well sarcasm still stands. Missed that
  7. What!?!? We gave up a competitive balance pick!? Doug Melvin has failed us big time. BLUE FONT
  8. Brett Phillips is a total stud
  9. Agreed Melvin always uses "GM Talk"...never wants to give up any leverage. Even with Greinke he still played it off like he doesn't have to trade him. On a different note he wouldn't pass through waivers, but he will get to a team that wants him. Since the Brewers can drop him on any team if they claim him not just anyone will claim him. Still you would be talking to a single team...not everyone. Best deal will be before 3pm on Friday. Melvin knows that and if the intend to trade him this month or next month it will happen before the deadline.
  10. Or he doesn't want to make it seem like they have to trade Parra. Someone said yesterday morning the Brewers seemed like they didn't want to trade Gomez...the rest is history.

  12. He is in their corrent rotation isn't he? Maybe if you pair Gomez with Fiers you could pull away Rodon. White Sox might have to add some more but that is possible. If they don't get another starter it is addition by subtraction and that just doesn't make sense for them. Rodon has massive potential though. Probably not a guy you trade when your rotation isn't lights out in the future.
  13. Interesting rumors have Sox connected to Cespedes and Upton, but not Parra or Gomez(that we know).
  14. These pictures are halarious until we actually don't do anything...then not so funny.
  15. And where is it that shows the Brewers were offered Kaminsky?
  16. Thank you for your continued non-condescending insight. /blue Thanks I give lots of insight. I was hoping the deal we almost made with the Mets was a wake up call, but these fantasy land trade ideas keep coming. I would love Giolito, but he is not going to come over from a Gomez trade. Gomez is going to get us a solid player I just don't see any team giving up a possible super star. This is a spot to discuss "fantasy land" proposals. Just because you don't like a deal does not mean you can be condescending to other posters. Your opinion is your opinion. It is not fact. You are not omnipotent. This is not an isolated incident with you either. Saying things like "That is laughable" does not add anything to the discussion. ------------------ I'm going to have to disagree with that...but it is your opinion right? If you are going to make a big deal over my comments you might want to look around. There is a laundry list of similar posts. Actually like 5 alone in this thread.
  17. That is laughable. Gomez is not getting Giolito. Thank you for your continued non-condescending insight. /blue Thanks I give lots of insight. 18. That is laughable. Gomez is not getting Giolito.
  19. The problem is medicals can be largely opinionated. Teams can have varying opinions. Never go to prove it as everyone is imperfect medically speaking. He plays baseball every day I doubt he is perfect.
  20. I bet Alderson felt pressure to get a big bat and got it despite the money. Once the owner got wind he said no way we are not doing that so they came up with BS medical complaints. It is crazy, but right now it sounds very real.
  21. Mets wanted us to eat money on a absolute bargain contract? Wow talk about being cheap. I think the Mets doctors are idiots(very possible) or the Mets got cold feet. I truly believe there is nothing serious enough to make you overly concerned with Gomez.
  22. Doug Melvin confident nothing wrong with the hip on Carlos Gomez. MRI weeks back wasn't even of his hip.
  23. Wow Dodgers are reportedly going to give up Urias if they get Price. FOR A RENTAL. Why can't the Brewers be lucky like that?
  24. Sadly I don't think Gomez will be traded now. This has created quite the concern with little time left. A team sees anything g with his hip and they might run for the hill. To everyone happy this deal didn't happen you shouldn't be so thrilled. It was the best deal out there and I doubt his value is higher this off season. I expect his so so season to continue and make it a bigger concern. I would be quite shocked if we get a package better than this.
