That was nice to see Cutch make that grab and end the inning. Nice play. -
I'm not one to give up on a game but this doesn't seem to be our night. I hope Burnes is pulled after the 4th, and I wonder if Reyes gets in to pitch the 8th.
-
That was a good one! Hopefully LA doesn't come roaring back at us tomorrow.

Brewers take the lead. I'm shutting it off now.

Well at least the game's over with.

Christian, that was poor.

For crying out loud. I hate chicago.

Fri. 8/19 - Another Busy Night on the Farm
AKCheesehead replied to Ro Mueller's topic in Brewers Minor League Talk
That Carolina box is a strange one tonight. -
I really hate to see Hader struggle like this. Unless of course it causes SD to drop behind MIL in the wild card, then I'll allow it. I think he'll get it together and be great. But . . . you just never know. It might not happen... this season. Or ever. It can change so fast for a RP as we all know. I think he'll be alright though.

Salmon populations are in serious decline. The feds shut down all silver (coho) fishing on the Kuskokwim as of 12:01AM 8/17. This is unprecedented, silvers have never been closed here before. We drift netted last Friday and got some, but not as much as hoped for. I hope the surveys find a later than usual run this year. More importantly I hope they get figured out the factors that contribute to the lower numbers across all species and help the fisheries rebound instead of decline even further.

He's going to be a first ballot HOFer and for many of the fans there that don't make it to a lot of games, that may be the last time they ever see him come up to bat in a meaningful situation in person. I get it.

It feels imminent.

Out here that's always an issue with locks in the wintertime, between the precipitation and the hoarfrost. I've never seen anything actually work against these elements, aside from the old standard: keep a propane torch handy.

I just cannot bring myself to watch football practice.
-
That's unfortunate. I'd been looking forward to it all day.
-
So do they not archive the free minor league game of the day on MLB like they do for the MLB games? Because I don't see it.
-
It sure is nice to have our best relief pitcher pitch the 10th. Especially on the road. Especially with the playground runner rule.

Brewers acquire Trevor Rosenthal
AKCheesehead replied to JefferyLeonard's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Has anyone been able to find any updates on Rosenthal's progress? My guess is he's working out and rehabbing at Arizona but I've had not luck locating any info. -
It's definitely a must win in my book. As in, they must win a game first before I decide to burn my limited bandwidth streaming them now that I'm back up in Bethel, AK.
-
Maybe that's why they got Rosenthal too ?

The suitcase thing was the only thing that bothered me because it was, in my opinion, such a laughably bogus story. The other things (missing out on the big payday, wanting to play for a contender)I think people went way overboard on, as I didn't see it as him complaining so much as him being asked questions and giving an honest and reasonable answer, even if it wasn't what we as Brewers fans might have wanted to hear.

Billy?

What did Craig have to say about the balk call in the presser? I shut it off after Wong struck out.
-
YES!! This was a bit frustrating at times but what a game.
