  1. The biggest problem this year has been the starting pitching depth. It is overlooked because they have three guys who have had good years in Burnes, Woodruff, and Laurer. Unfortunately 300+ starting pitching innings have been pitched by Ashby, Peralta, Houser, Gonzalez, Small, Alexander with a combined ERA near 5. On the flip side, the offense hasn't really had any black holes in the lineup this year. No great hitters, but most nights it's a lineup of average hitters. Over the long run, that's been more successful than the boom or bust rotation.
  2. Year after year pitch counts get lower and lower, innings pitched less and less, and yet injuries keep increasing.
  3. LOL. I stepped away for a minute. They pulled Peralta at 82 pitches with a No hitter going? Absolute genius management!
  4. Sometimes there's good pitching and sometimes it's just awful at bats. They're missing meatballs right out over the plate.
  5. Welcome to the new world of 12 teams getting postseason series. 8 was a good number to make sure all were good teams and the postseason was high quality. Now mediocre gets in.
  6. He turned out to be really bad. Sunk cost is a sunk cost.
  7. Most random low level relievers without good stuff can have a 30 inning stretch or so of success. Thats all it was and nothing more.
  8. Gotta save arms, no possible way your 6th best reliever can pitch two innings.
  9. At least they can use a position player to pitch the next 4 innings
  10. There is nothing else that would make me leave a game early, but if they put a position player on the mound I refuse to watch that garbage. At what point will we just see a team pull everyone off the field, load up the bats, and head home in the 7th because they're losing and the millionaires can't be bothered to expend anymore energy?
  11. Absolutely disgraceful to use a position player to pitch in a 6 run game. I really dont like how this team has been managed this year.
  12. Yesterday I saw maybe half a dozen other brewer fans here. Today 0. But thats ok, us against the world, lets win a series!
  13. Another fantastic lineup vs a lefty today. I would question Counsel but I doubt lineup decisions are solely his decision. For some reason, management thinks its a good idea to have Huira play vs lefties and not righties even though all data shows the opposite.
  14. I'll be sitting somewhere behind Brewers dugout. Any others heading out to games this series?
  15. Oh my goodness, Hader might lead us to the postseason after all!
  16. Yeah I kind of had a suspicion that this deadline was the last moment he could be traded for anything of value.
  17. 11am games during the week are tough when you gotta work.
  18. Alright, reasonable series. Now let's beat the Cubs.
