  1. I don't think there is any correlation between what a replay shows and what the result of a challenge will be in MLB, it is the worst replay system in sports.
  2. His BABIP is now at .229. He just missed a double earlier that I’m still not convinced didn’t get over part of the bag. I believe he’ll find his way into proving a perfectly fine, slightly better than league average hitter by the end of the season. Wasn't that ball hit on a line? Meaning it has to land fair past the base instead of a a grounder which just has to go over the base?
  3. No thanks I would rather see Counsell play 3B for the Brewers than have Moustakas again. Why's that?
  4. I get that it's a fast runner, but that is a play that needs to be made, a major league shortstop needs to have the arm to beat a fast runner on a routine grounder.
  5. I was at that game. I believe it was against the Orioles in May of 2014 or so? One of the few Brewer games I have been able to attend in person in Milwaukee. I think it was the first time I met hawing and Briantheautomator. I was at that game too! Back in the good old days pre 2021 where you could move around pretty freely throughout the game. I started up in terrace reserve and by extra innings was sitting front row field level down the 3rd base line.
  6. Even more technically, Grand Chute is actually a township, not a city or village.
  7. Honest question, by the rulebook how high does the strikezone actually go? Is a pitch at the letters a strike?
  8. Yeah maybe Sogard is like the last guy in the world you pull a huge shift on.
  9. It's amazing the variance you have from official scorers, remember the "error" Corbin Burnes reached on in San Diego?
  10. Ray is definitely a guy who has benefited from Covid cancelling last year's minors and the delayed start this year. He might be out of baseball by now.
  11. That's literally ERA. You can't discount ERA when it's bad only to cite it when it's good. By the same token that we shouldn't judge Devin based on his numbers so far this year (which I agree with), are you really that confident in someone like Brad Boxberger over the course of a full season? Technically it's RA. But the point I'm trying to make here is if they are getting outs in the high leverage spots, that's not a bad bullpen. The ERA may be higher than you'd like but it's weighed down heavily by Lindblom.
  12. Absolutely. I don't look at Devin nearly the way I look at the bottom of the pen. I think Devin is still going to be a fantastic late inning option. I'm less high on a guy like Yardley. I only brought him up because he is a guy with an era over 6 right now
  13. Then if you look at the guys who pitch when the game is on the line (Hader, JP, Boxberger, Suter) and see that they have a combined 33 IP with 9 runs allowed, it makes me not all that worried about the bullpen right now.
