I've never really seen a Brewers team struggle so much to hit pitches out over the plate. Not even good pitches, we consistently see swings and misses on center cut fastballs and hanging breaking balls, what used to be called mistake pitches. It doesn't seem to be as much of a chasing problem as most are drawing walks, they just can't hit.
Absolutely. You can't manage this team like it's a slugging team anymore, we need to bunt in obvious situations like this, need to steal bases. The three run homer is not coming with this lineup.

Or Hader, he threw like 12 pitches. Both were rested coming into today. Give it five years and position players playing more than 5 days a week in the field will be seen as an impossible feat.
These days starting pitchers who pitch an inning before a rain delay don’t come back out after. It’s about muscle recovery and injury prevention. I'm glad with the new knowledge of today that no pitchers ever end up on the DL.
So there's no possible way in a huge game that Williams or Hader could possibly pitch both heads of the double header? They really expect you to believe things that have been done for centuries are impossible today?
It was one thing when shifting started and it was against very good power lefties, absolutely don't bunt or try to slap the ball the other way if you're Barry Bonds or David Ortiz, but if we're talking about guys who can't hit .200, you're gonna be out of the league soon if you can't adjust.
I mean Justin Smoak was one of the worst baseball players I've ever seen put on a Brewer uniform, he couldn't hit, run, or play any defense, but other than that, yeah he was alright.
Burnes threw 6 shoutout last night. Try again. And he pitched 0 innings today. Hader and Nottingham did not seem to be on the same page at all. Obviously it didn't matter much during the 8 pitch meltdown to end it, but for the first couple batters. Seemed too fastball heavy today when this year Hader has been throwing a lot more sliders.
