  1. Exactly. There is pretty good upside here. Risk comes into play if we have a couple of extra inning games, but I still like our staff in that setup.
  2. Is that really the risk? One pitch could be the end? He threw with the dead arm a few times, and was really surprisingly successful, including the K-rate. I'd imagine he could grind out 7-8 outs even if he loses his velocity after a few batters in Gm 4.
  3. Grandpa used to sit in the kitchen in his underwear listening to Ueck on the little radio they had. He'd fall asleep there in his chair sometimes. Farmers work long hours, right? I remember driving around with my dad in his truck in the summer listening to Uecker. Or listening on the radio in my room, trying to stay up, but usually failing. I remember some County Stadium trips. We were there when my favorite player, Paul Molitor, returned as a Blue Jay. Summer trips to Brewer games were our family vacations. I got to watch them win the pennant with my 12 year old son, my older brother, nephew, cousin and his kids...Brewers are family. Cool thread. I'm going to text my dad now and thank him for having Uecker on in his truck way back then in the 90s...
  4. Not a season ticket holder? Just bought previous postseason single tickets?
  5. I love live football, but I think coaching experience helps me see things very differently than maybe the average fan does. Still can't beat the overall view from the recliner at home. I've been spoiled with the two postseason Brewers games I've been to, but the experience is SO worth it. 2018 game NLDS game two and game 1 vs the Padres last week were both Brewers wins and exciting games to be at. I would (and have) encourage any Brewer fan to pay the extra $ to get a taste of that. I was in the Terrace level both games. Absolutely worth it. The experience between a regular season Brewer game and a postseason game is vastly different. Is the world series worth 1600 dollars for a terrace ticket? It probably is, but my family doesn't have that kind of extra cash, so I won't be taking part in that. Too bad, so sad.
  6. I've got SRO for game 6. Hoping to make it a decent experience for my 12 year old, at least. Unless we close it out before then, which would be alright too...
  7. Bump… SRO experience? I’d love to take my son again, but not sure $200+ each for terrace tickets is in the cards. Also not sure a short 12 year old could really take in the game well with SRO tickets.
  8. Anyone ever do SRO? How's that for a game?
  9. We didn't use Patrick, Drohan, or Harrison. Do we drop a pitcher and add a position player maybe?
  10. That was a good plan. I should have done that. I had Game 7 NLCS tickets in 2018 that I actually had to offload because I bought my wife Ed Sheeran tickets for Christmas that year, and for some reason she demanded I be the one who went with her (I mean, that was the plan the whole time). Part of me always feels a bit of relief that they didn't win that game. Just a small, selfish part.
  11. I twice had a couple in the cart for games 1 and 6, but couldn't pull the trigger. My son is very upset with me. We'll see if something pops up this week. That's how I ended up with NLDS seats.
  12. Anybody snatch some NLCS seats?
  13. I got 2 extra in 414 for Game 1. Taking my 12 year old and might bring two others, but I think just he and I would have a very memorable time together, so I might have 2 for sale for Saturday also.
  14. My wife and I sat up in the RF corner for the NLDS in 2018. Obstructed view but definitely worth it for that atmosphere.
  15. No problem. I've been randomly checking throughout the week and just got lucky, I guess. Could only afford the Terrace Reserve, but my 12 year old son is going to LOVE the playoff atmosphere. Worth the nearly $300 for nose bleeds!
  16. Looks like more tickets just dropped.
  17. I don't get the "embarrassing" or "weird" takes. It's new. It's fitting and makes sense, though. Why not?
  18. When has he not been productive? Even in his innings when he started topping out at 88, he was able to get batters out. Obviously you don't throw him out there if he isn't throwing 95, but I wouldn't trust many more if he feels physically sound.
  19. Not exactly the discussion here, but does anyone else think Lara needs to be given confidence to challenge high strike calls? I probably don’t watch games as consistently as many of you, but it seems like every other at bat of his gets tarnished by a 2-0 fastball 3 inches above the zone being called a strike.
  20. I saw 10 seconds of video sandwiched between 5 minutes of ads. Yeesh
  21. Eek? Hodl? What's up?
