  1. Really? WOW. StubHub makes out like bandits. 10% on sellers and that'd be nearly 50% on buyers! On a $65 ticket, SH charges $15.10 service fee and $2.00 fulfillment fee to the buyer. They also take 10% from the seller. Sell gets $58.50 and buyer pays $82.10 per ticket. I figured this all out by clicking on a $65 ticket. Oh, so there is only a $17.10 fee for the buyer, making a $65 an $82.10 ticket. That's not as bad as it sounded above, but SH sure makes out well. I wonder what cut the Brewers/MLB gets? Maybe they aren't so upset with secondary market sales.
  2. Plus over $30 in fees so about $100 a ticket if you're looking to go to the game tonight. Really? WOW. StubHub makes out like bandits. 10% on sellers and that'd be nearly 50% on buyers!
  3. No way anybody should be writing them off, that's for sure. It's excusable in the emotions of a gut-wrenching loss, but not now. However, given the Dodgers' starters the next 2 days, I'd put the Brewers' chances below 44%. Another factor in that stat is that having home-field advantage in games 6 and 7 often means you were the more talented team all along, even if you fell behind 3 games to 2, but that's not really the case here. The talent isn't as far apart as some people make it out to be, but I do think the Dodgers have a little more of it. They've been building it up intelligently for years and have a huge payroll, whereas the Brewers were tanking a mere 2 years ago. I think the Brewers will have that much talent eventually, but I don't think they have it now. Given the starters for the next 2 days??? One is the guy the Brewers probably hit the hardest this series and the other is the guy they beat on the road.
  4. Game 6, right? If it wasn't a 3 hour drive, I'd be hopping on that. And I can't use my game 7 tickets due to an Ed Sheeran concert on Saturday in Minneapolis. Christmas present that I got my wife...I'll check ahead for October dates next year!
  5. "bleachers guy imploring everyone to start The Wave" tops all of that. especially if it's a close game and/or the Brewers are batting This. Game 2 of the NLDS there was a couple of clowns to the right of my wife and I trying this. Sadly there was a couple of clowns in the group right in front of us who agreed it was a good idea. Luckily they quickly realized everybody else wanted to watch the baseball game.
  6. If they know signs and what pitch is coming then they are really awful hitters...
  7. You can't even watch them all? You mean due to schedule, right?
  8. I don't think you'll see much drop for game 7 outside of those that are extremely highly priced right now. Excitement isn't getting any lower than it is right now. Although, I'd imagine not a ton of tickets are being bought at this point, so maybe the market isn't set at all.
  9. So, experts. With this system, what are the odds a non-season ticket holder will be able to get his hands on a couple for a WS game? I had luck getting in right away for the NLDS and NLCS tickets when the Wisconsin sale opened. Is it going to come down to that again? Is it guaranteed to even get that far?
  10. This is difficult for me to understand. NLCS games 6 and 7 should be a HOT ticket always. People aren't excited. Simple as that. Yes, that's obvious. Even with a struggling offense, it is hard for me to understand why.
  11. This is difficult for me to understand. NLCS games 6 and 7 should be a HOT ticket always.
  12. I was at NLDS game 2. I didn't think it was as loud as game one (at least game 1 seemed louder), but I would guess game 1 would tend to be more loud than a game 2. Lots of standing for big moments which was good. Some clowns tried starting the wave. That was not so good. I'd imagine Friday night is a great environment, but I agree an early lead would be huge. Saturday would be unreal.
  13. Oh wow those are better than what I got! When I checked earlier it was only TR, so we're in like the last row haha. I have spent a small fortune on this post season What did those cost? I’m curious the difference between the TR and TB.
  14. I had 2 in 210 for game 6 pop up. $200+ per was too much for me.
  15. Just got two to pop up. TB 437. $135 a piece, plus the $7 fee!!! Yikes.
  16. From the team? I just checked and they must all be gone by now.
  17. Is this true/false?
  18. The bigger blunder was failing to walk the bases loaded to get to a pitcher in the inning we ended up losing the game in. There just is not excuse for that big of a managerial blunder. Counsell has done great in the postseason, but that was a big ole fail that is pretty hard to debate. I think they were hoping to ride another inning out of Guerra, and the best setup for that to be successful was to have him facing 8, 9, 1 in the 14th. Bellinger had been struggling, as well. I think walking him is the obvious choice when BP arms are plentiful.
  19. What's a "huge ticket drop" mean?
  20. I thought that would make sense as well, but I think the plan is going to be Gio for a short start, then some combination of Woodruff, Burnes, and maybe one of Guerra or Peralta in the middle innings followed by Hader for the last 2-3 innings once the Dodgers have flipped their lineup over against the righties (assuming a Brewers lead or a tie game). If Hader is available for multiple innings then I agree. I wasn't counting on that once I saw him enter the game last night.
  21. I thought CC might start Woody to get the RHP lineup starting for the Dodgers and then go to Gio to force them to decide to matchup early before flipping it to the RHP dominated BP. Maybe better to just let Gio go through his normal routine.
  22. Locally and in general that is honestly what it is. It is the ability to pump up the "rivalries" and get people into it. Making up a bunch of BS trophies for most of them. On a more nationwide scale, yah, it is their effective ability to market those "big" games as actually meaning something. Even though I would say over half of them only mean something if the wildest of scenarios works it's way the rest of the season. I mean honestly even if Wisconsin won out I bet they still miss quite easily. Michigan can win out and probably still be out. I mean sure they are still "in it" if you honestly think they won't lose another game and all the teams around them implode. Had Wisconsin won out (wins @Michigan, @Penn State, vs OSU (likely). They'd have been in. If Michigan wins out they will certainly be in. There is really no chance that they wouldn't be.
  23. Can we stop comparing Hiura to a multi year all star and former league MVP? I get the excitement around him but the way people here talk, you'd think he as a top 5 prospect in all of the major leagues. He's not and you're setting yourself up for huge disappointment if you think he is. Be patient and let him develop for another year. He's putting up numbers that warrant deep praise. I'd contend that elbow concerns and last year's wrist injury are all that keep him from being a top-10 MLB guy right now. He's legitimately a great hitter. And comparing his path to RB's doesn't mean he has to be RB. He won't come up and hit 34 HRs. He doesn't have to. I think he could hit .300 and steal 20 bases, though.
  24. I had the same 9, but went Perez over Schoop and Pina in or Kratz. Personally I'd go Braun, Yelich, Aggie, Moose 2-5, but I don't see CC agreeing with that.
