  1. Right, that’s another reason to trade Frelick for example. He has more value as a starting CF to the Phillies or someone rather than a corner OF/ 4th OF in Milwaukee (who doesn’t provide the bat you’d want for LF/RF). Because you have one of Mitchell/Perkins as your 4th OF if they platoon in CF. Yelich will do some DHing but I am hoping they see the need to get a better bat for 1B/LF. But maybe that’s Black’s role.
  2. All 3 of Mitchell, Frelick, and Perkins derive their greatest value by being able to play CF. Having all 3 on the riser just means you have a relatively weak-hitting corner OF albeit with plus-plus defense. But one of those guys should hold ore value to a teaM in need of CF help than being a backup/corner OF in Milwaukee. That is why I see one being traded. I’d guess Frelick
  3. Sometimes, especially if their defense is already slipping. I’d like to see Adames stay, but for how much $ he will get for probably 5+ years, it just isn’t the best allocation of resources. And considering the low supply of quality FA SS and some deep-pocketed teams like ATL, SF, maybe LA and DET making at least some sense for him, his market won’t fall down to reasonable levels for MKE
  4. Then he must be a brewer target once they realize that. i wouldn’t get Morel, who is a bad 3B, but the Rays do make sense as a trade partner with their IF depth. Plus, justbaseball.com ranked the Rays as the best MiLB infield depth. I know he’s injury prone, but Brandon Lowe makes a lot of sense as a target. The Rays will likely look to trade him and the Brewers need hitting. He would indirectly replace the offense lost by Adames leaving. I think it would mean Turang to SS but Lowe has played some 1B/corner OF too
  5. I personally would like to get Brandon Lowe from Tampa Baybin exchange for Tyler Black.
  6. Josh smith of the rangers to take over 3B
  7. Right, my list of screw ups definitely starts with Williams, then a bunch of hitters, then I had a couple issues with Murphy but after those guys.
  8. I definitely meant shouldn’t because of course you put Williams in there. Context would’ve shown that but my bad. Typo
  9. No he will return with his player option for 2025, unfortunately
  10. It’s also on you that your reading comprehension is limited enough that you seem to think I ever said Williams shouldn’t have been put in. And it started just because I included Murphy in the list of failures AFTER Williams and 1/2 of the lineup. But you don’t seem to think Williams needed to be settled down and he wasn’t missing by that much so I guess there’s nothing a manager could do. And the only reason anybody me could disagree with you is emotions, or something
  11. Lol if you couldn’t see that Williams was missing terribly then that’s on you
  12. Add Hoskins, Ortiz, and especially the 2 supposed-to-be key hitters Contreras and Adames to that list
  13. He clearly was out of control out there and should’ve had a visit and pulled him probably before the Winker at bat and visited before the Alonzo at bat. I never said Williams should’ve have been in. But Williams and the 1/2 the lineup that disappeared are obviously what killed the team
  14. Not pull peralta and myers so early. Not let Williams clearly crap his pants and not do anything while it happens
  15. Most oF the position players besides Churio were absolute crap. So was Murphy
  16. Hopefully Murphy realized even more so last night that Mitchell should be starting over Frelick. It’s not like Frelick outhits lefties compared to Mitchell
  17. What is the deal with Hoskins playing 1B and Bauers DH? Bauers being able to play a decent 1B is the only benefit he provides to the team
  18. Seriously, why not use the times when Sanchez starts at a chance to get Contreras some rest by simply DHing Contreras and catching Sanchez ?
  19. With Contreras slumping it sure would’ve made sense to catch Sanchez and let him DH
  20. I didn’t say he had been awful so far, did I? But like you said, he won’t keep that up. He’s a journeyman reserve catcher. And like I said, they didn’t replace their best hitter, they also didn’t upgrade from Monastario, and they could’ve used a bat before Yeli’s injury
  21. You think there’s no substantiating that today’s lineup is a bad one and it must just be “emotional IGT stuff”? The way Sanchez 3rd and Haase DHing is totally not awful, especially for a 1st place team 🙄. Not to mention completely not replacing Yeli
  22. Sounds like a good reason to get better hitting, you know to keep that division lead and have better hitting in the playoffs
  23. This hilarious lineup didn’t need any improvements at the deadline
