  1. Where are all the people who were wanting DM's head for not signing him long term during the off season?
  2. I was at Wrigley when he hit a grand slam there in late 2009. I enjoyed it.
  3. I cant believe how many people sit around complaining about grammar and other problems about the brewers blog. Who cares. Its amazing to me that people have to complain about something. Wow.
  4. I think that most of us can agree that Fielder will either be gone by Saturday or by next February. I remember that Jenkins numbers seemed to really suck when Sexson left. Braun has not had a great year by his standards. I am betting that batting in front of Fielder has got to help tremendously.
  5. Carlos Marmol used to be a starter too. He is doing great in his current role, why change?
  6. With the comments that I have read from earlier on about how Hart was not giving it his full effort before...he is the last player I want to lock up long term into a contract. He will get his money and go back into "retired but still playing". Packer fans remember Cletidus Hunt.
  7. The brewers are in a tough spot (well, Macha is in a tough spot)...He probably wants to win as many games as he can because that in and of itself could be the reason he has a job next year. I think the best thing for the Brewers is to make Cain the every day starter. It would also be nice to see what we have in Capuano and have him take the ball every 5th day. The season is lost but I think we can still make it positive by seeing what we have for next year. Sadly though, with seeing how Gomez is/was used this year and how Gamel was used when he was up, I seriously doubt that will happen.
  8. His value is probably at an all time low. For what he would bring in return right now, he is probably more valuable to keep.
  9. I dont see why this would need to be in the political forum, where no one will read it. No one has discussed why he would even skip it. WOW. Thanks for posting this PEM. I would not have known otherwise.
  10. Well, Weeks' name has come up in the rumor mill. This is not at all surprising when you factor in that he has one last year of arby before he is a free agent and is having a pretty good year. His replacement could be ready by mid May in 2011 (Lawrie). Weeks has been injured. He strikes out a lot. What do you think he could bring to Milwaukee? Is asking for a strong pitching prospect who is about 2 years away too much?
  11. Exactly. This is not going to happen. Minor is the type of player we could hope Fielder to bring, not Hart.
  12. glad to see he did not go to the Yanks.
  13. Are you a Giants fan or something. Pretty interesting that this is your first post ever here. If not, I guess...welcome.
  14. I have to admit, I think people are getting ahead of themselves thinking Hart is going to bring in some major league ready ace-in-the-making pitcher. We probably will all be surprised with how crappy the return is...like Gomez for Hardy (even though this has not been that bad).
  15. Man, I used to love Jenks. Funny how some are still down on him. The guy hustled and played his heart out all the time and usually for a team that was going to lose 90-100 games. He was a class act in Milwaukee and won a ring in Philly having a clutch hit when it really mattered late in the year. Welcome home Geoff. We miss you bro.
  16. It could be as simple as this... What are his stats pre elbow strike...and his stats post elbow strike?
  17. Wolf had a nice start tonight against a strong offensive team.
  18. Does anyone know what Parra's stats are as just a starter for this season? He seems like he has been pretty good.
  19. Remember that the course if currently closed and under some renovation. The course is LONG... and the previous owner was not able to keep the quality of the course in championship condition because he ran out of money. It was recently sold and is becoming championship quality...obviously.
  20. I love how some on here talk about how the crew is a .400 win team or a .500 win team without Prince and Weeks. We are about a .400 win team with both right now too. .500 would be a nice improvement.
  21. I would expect Suppan to be better under Duncan. Suppan pitched his best under him and he is playing for a team that has nice defense and a nice offense. Suppan is a great person. I wish him no hard feelings. Do I wish that he would have been at least decent as a Brewer? Absolutely. Duncan is a great coach. He knows Suppan. I am certain that he probably told the Cards GM that he could fix him/make him serviceable.
  22. funny that teatote has been pulled over 10 less times than he was 2 years ago. see the other thread on this issue.
  23. Well, I truly believe he will be horrible, but if he is somehow pretty good for them the rest of the year (sub 4 ERA)...some people will be getting fired and they will deserve it. Suppan certainly appears to suck, but if coaching is able to turn him around, we need some new ones.
