    I just think that right now, he's very hot. Geoff Jenkins would do this stuff all the time where he would carry the team for 2 weeks. It didn't mean that he suddenly figured things out. Not to be a downer but I'm sure he will be swinging at that outside slider soon enough and his numbers will fall back in line with career norms. Hopefully the Brewers trade him at the end of the month.

    Im sorry but it is hard to believe that Loe could not be any better than Suppan based solely off of his AAA numbers so far. I think that we could all agree that Suppan probably could not have an ERA under 6 if he pitched for any level of pro ball. I am not even being down on him, but he has completely lost it.

    I completely agree. I am a Melvin supporter but I wouldn't be able to look past something like letting either go to keep Suppan or Vargas.

    Serious question -- is an underage alcohol ticket something MiLBers get suspended for? Doing anything illegal could probably get them suspended. Marijuana will get you arrested and banned. Marijuana is waaaay different that alcohol and tobacco.

    Wow. People act like Sheets wanted to resign here and Melvin showed him the door. Sheets did not want to play here anymore. He wanted to go out and get the huge contract. If Melvin would have resigned him when some on here were saying, he would have been payed last year by the Crew to rehab. Sheets may end up having a nice career from here on out but they would have had to waaaaay overpay for him to stay here. And let's be honest, Sheets could go down with a season ending injury next week and no one would be surprised.

    Jon Heyman ranked Escobar at #21 and had this to say... 21. Alcides Escobar, Brewers SS. The slick fielder isn't the reason for the Brewers' recent collapse. He's hitting just .241 but has 12 extra-base hits, including five triples. Some say he still needs to mature, though, both on the field and off it. Ranked number 21 kind of sucks. Has anyone heard that he needs to mature off the field?

    Sad that Suppan is the least valuable member of this team and we all know he wont be the DFA'd. Vargas sucks too but Suppan is simply terrible. Which leads to my next question...If Suppan was DFA'd, would anyone even pick him up?

    Wow, Mark A. isnt going to be putting up with this much longer. I see changes happening soon, probably after they get swept tom.

    This is not a thread about venting or complaining. It's looking more and more like the Brewers arent going to be very good this year. I have a feeling that if the crew does not have a winning record at the end of the season, Macha, and Melvin will probably both be fired. Prince will probably be traded either at the all star break this year, or in the off season. I think we are going to see a new wave of Brewers baseball coming and frankly I am scared. Here's to hoping that I am wrong and everything comes together with the Brewers making a nice run of the wild card and beyond.

    I could not agree more with you. Also, he is a class act, hard worker and seems to fit Milwaukee perfectly. I think some on here are just waiting for him to suck....aint going to happen.

    I wonder if he continues his tear at AAA, if they will promote him and cut ties with Suppan? This is the major leagues. The best team needs to be on the field, not who is making the most money.

    The best park about Brown Deer though is that it is a public course and the yardage is right for the Champions Tour. Everybody can go and play where they are going to. You cant say that if they were to have it at the Milwaukee Country Club. Tiger Woods made his professional debut there as well, which is kind of cool.

    This is just one person's assumption about them not listing the players. I am certain they will do it shortly before that date. Everyone is kind of rushing to an assumption here.

    Its looking like Jack Z lost big with this trade. Silva has been great and Bradley has been terrible. He should have known that you never put a player like Bradley on your team. I wonder where his huge following on this site has gone?

    I get so mad that the crew always seems to completely suck against the cubs. God these guys seriously kill me. Life would be so much easier as a Yankees fan. "Lord, if you listening.....HELP!"

    YES. By doing so, it would at least give the Brewers a fair chance. Look at what the crew had to do just to make the playoffs. Imagine what it would take to actually make it to the world series and then to win it. I know, I know, anything can and does happen. Any team can get on a roll. If every team could only spend $110 million, baseball would be a way better sport. This is why the NFL is so great.

    I seem to remember reading an article where Melvin basically said this same thing. I am fairly certain. Melvin explained that he was blocked (Braun and Hart (Hart was decent at the time)) and that he did not have the glove to play center. There was also questions about him ever hitting enough to play the corners anyways. I am not sure what the fascination is about him.
